3) Notary - were you charged per piece of photocopied paper?
4) Notary - were you charged per passport page?
5) Notary - were you charged just one amount for the entire service, regardless of how many pages and passports?

If there is a poster specific to the costs in Texas, it would be great. Otherwise, general experiences/costs would be very much appreciated!

Just got to your bank here in the U.S. to have it notarize...its free at the bank.You can also go to UPS.All you need to do is to photocopy your passport with the visa pages,staple it all together and go to your bank and they will notarize it on the front page copy of your passport not per page.

Oh btw,I forgot to mention,Call ACS-FedEx number 02-879-4747 to order the CRBA forms.

The Air21 will deliver the CRBA forms to your door and you have to pay 225pesos if its still the same.

You and ur hubby needs to provide all the requirements listed on their checklist along with the forms and submit it before the 60days from the date of receipt expires.Just call the number again I gave above so they can pick-up the CRBA package of ur son.Don't worry you don't have to pay again for them to pick-up the papers.Delivery of forms,CRBA package pick-up and delivery of US passports and CRBA certificate fees are included to the Php 225.00 you paid.

Also,the CRBA fee is $150.00 if its still the same and you have to pay that at US Embassy during your son's appointment date.Don't include the money on CRBA package.You have to pay it in person.

P.S.

Make sure you have enough proofs especially when you were together during the baby's conception and a 5yrs. US Physical Presence of your husband before your son was born,like 5yrs Tax returns,pay stubs,school transcripts and etc.,

Hi,I went through CRBA for my daughter and we are here in the US now.

I wanted to share you the coverletter I made when I submitted my daughter's CRBA application.Just follow what I did.All of the proofs and supporting documents we had are listed in the cover letter.

Also,I recommend you to get your child a Philippine passport too so your son will have 2 passports that will make him dual citizen because he is native born of the Philippines so you won't have to pay penalty and/or exit permit.Just show his US and Philippine passport at NAIA on your departure.The Bureau of Immigration told me that,because it was too late for me when I knew about it so I didn't have choiced,paid exit permit for my daughter,they charged me almost Php4,000.So better get your son a Philippine passport so you won't have to pay.Bureau of Immigration charge too much.They just told me to get her a Philippine passport here in the US so next time we visit PI,she can stay as long as she want and can be able to buy properties.

K-1 is a single entry visa ...

If you leave before you file adjustment of status you will not be able to re-enter the U.S. ...

After you are married you will file for AOS ... and you must also file for Advance Parole before you can leave and re-enter ...

After you get your green card you can leave and re-enter with no restrictions ...

I called them today and yelled at them and told the agent I spoke to that I want to speak with the manager and she said the manager will be available 9AM Pacific Time.Well,I will call back again around that time.She even told me that there is no guarantee that the manager can do something to fix this.I thought I will not have this problem since from 1st to 3rd time using xoom was really fine.

I searched for complaints about xoom and I found a lot just recently (Dec.3,2009) and samething happened to them and their recipient didn't receive the money and the sender didn't get the money back.I just hope that they can fix it so my family can get the money and/or get my money back as soon as possible.

Hi,pwede mo dalhin lahat yan..ako din nagdala ng mga yan..bsta yung food at mga liquid balutin mo mabuti tpos balutin mo ng newspaper at i-tape mo then balot mo sya ng dark na damit mo then ipagitna mo sya.Bsta wag ka lng dala mga imitation things.

It depends sa airlines.Ako kc nun nag-excessed din ako..imbes na tag-23kg ginawa ko sya tag-31 which was $50 ang excess fee kc $25 each then hanggang upto 32kg lng pwede mag-excess pero gnawa ko 31kg kc bka iba timbang nila sa NAIA..that was fee for Continental Airlines.

Yung mga liquids mo,pwedeng-pwede yan bsta i-tape mo yung sa may takip pra di mabuksan then balot mo sa newspapers tpos pagitna mo sya sa mga damit mo.

Call mo NAIA then pa-connect mo sa Korean Air pra malaman mo excess fee at kung hanggang ilan kilo pwede mag-excess sa fee na i-charge nila.

There is no contact numbers of USCIS or DHS in Cleveland,OH...they only have the address.

She will be given an I-94 to fill up and the officer there will stamp it's expiration based on the date she arrived US and it will be attached to her passport. This is what I did when the same thing happened to me, the officer did not attach it to my passport at the customs upon my arrival.

Hello Fellow VJ'ers,

just wanted to ask about the I-94 from the POE..i know about it coz I had mine and the officer attached my I-94 to my passport.

My friend arrived here in the US on April 18,2009 and got married May 27,2009...she called me regarding the I-94..she said she don't have I-94 ,the officer on her POE didnt attach the I-94 on her passport,now she's worried about it bcoz we know that we need that for AOS.


She also said that she filled up the I-94 (which is white form) on the plane then when the plane landed on her POE..the officer said she dont need the I-94 white form that she filled up...officer gave her a blue form and told her to filled it up and so she did..then she had her fingerprints,picture and told her she's done and she can go to her next connecting flight.

I gave her the USCIS number and told her to call and ask about it.
The officer didnt attach her I-94 on her passport.Anyone experience this?

Guam was my POE and it was so easy.I was travelling with my daughter and our stop-over there was 60mins only.Don't worry..staffs there are nice and Guam is a small airport only so you'll be fine.During my POE there..one of the staff there let me fell inline to USC..he said my daughter is USC so he let me fell inline there and it was my turned right away.

We flew via Continental Airlines.Didnt have problem about our baggages too bcoz it goes all the way to our final destination..Our itinerary was: Manila to Guam,Guam to Honolulu,Honolulu to Houston,Houston to Tampa then Tampa to Tallahassee.
Honolulu was my CBP.Thats the only stop-over where I had to get our baggages with the help of the staff there for my CBP checking,they just asked me what's was on my baggages and that's it.Told me to go to our next connecting flight and they took my baggages and they said I will get it on my final destination.

Are you flying via Continental Airlines?

If you just get your child a PI passport,you dont need to get exit clearance bcoz that will make him dual citizen.
He is automatic dual citizen bcoz he is a native born of Philipines by Filipino mother and American father ..thats what BI told me.All you need to do is show his Philippine passport and US Passport at NAIA and thats it..no more exit clearance fee and penalty.

Anyway,in my daughter's case,i just found out about it too late already..i mean we dont have time anymore to get her a Phil.passport bcoz our flight was in 5days when I went to BI for her exit clearance so the BI told me that just bring her NSO BC with me here in the US and just apply a Phil.passport for her at the nearest Philippine Embassy/Consulate so next time we visit Philippines,she can stay longer when we want too w/o penalty and no limit.
