IMBRA Special TopicsCSC-Touched again today!!!!
I was 'touched' again today. I didn't want to start a new thread so I just added this to this one.

IMBRA Special TopicsFinally got my RFE July 10 but one question
I don't remember now if mine had my case # on it or not. I don't think it did. I did however attach a little letter with it because I wasn't comfortable with question 2 and 3 not having anywhere to put 'none'. I clipped them all together when I sent it back.

IMBRA Special TopicsHow many CSC IMBRA RFE's have been accepted?

touched Saturday July 8th hope they are working on it!

They recieved mine July 6th but the last touch was the 5th. No confirmation from them yet. argh
Maybe some employees of the VSC should take a couple weeks temporary relocation and help out the CSC get caught up.

Your confirmation will come soon. They received mine on the 5th but I received an email this morning confirming even though the email was dated the 8th.

Mine has NOT been accepted yet. They received it back on July 5th. I received a 'touch' on July 5th but that was before they received it back. I know they got it though because I did tracking through USPS. I guess my touches are done for now.....<sigh>

IMBRA Special TopicsRFE - Through email
I know with California it says to return the BLUE cover sheet with it so you wouldn't be able to just email it and print it out. I am not sure if Vermont's is different.

IMBRA Special TopicsOn Processing Order Post IMBRA at CSC
Well I have been away for 3 days with my daughter camping with Girls Scouts. I was hoping to come back and see the early March filers having their NOA2s. :(

I think I will be contacting my senator tomorrow to see what she says.

IMBRA Special TopicsOn Processing Order Post IMBRA at CSC
So I guess that means us that was transferred from Nebraska will just be intermixed with the other California petitions. :(

Also, this proves (if this is what they are doing) that Vermont and California process differently because there are people that just filed in June that are being approved in Vermont.

IMBRA Special TopicsContacted my Senator
Yes I am a bit skeptic to but I finally have somebody that is willing to work with me. The Congressman that I contacted never even bothered to call me back. I feel a little bit better that I have somebody to contact if August 8th comes and goes with no approval.

IMBRA Special TopicsContacted my Senator
Wow am I impressed. I faxed this afternoon the release form to my US Senators that 'Kitkat' gave me. They called me immediately.

This is what I was told. California is processing the petitions immediately after receiving the RFE back. However, they have been told that the petitions will be processed within 30 days of the receipt date. This is the receipt date that California acknowledged receiving back the RFE. He said that if I didn't have my approval by August 8th (which is 30 days from the receipt date) to call him back and they will take further action with CSC.

IMBRA Special TopicsContacted my Senator
Well I sent an email tonight to my Senator (since my Congressman was worthless). I will call in a couple days too if I don't get a reply by email. I will post if I hear anything. I just basically asked general questions about this new process and if he could shed any insight.

Jen

P.S. If I hear anything after I move, I will post from my work since I won't have a computer at home for a few weeks!

Oops! I probably should have put this under IMBRA. I was ask Captain to move for me.

IMBRA Special TopicsService Centers are making headway on processing times

My RFE was late getting to us, and late getting to them. I am not expecting to hear a thing until September, at this rate. I an get pissy that mail times have bumped me to the back of the line again, but there isn't much I can do. Except keep waiting! Guess that goes for all of us... :(

I am right with you sister. Mine wasn't late but since I anticipate another RFE for some missing paperwork I am expecting it to be first of September. :(

USCIS Service CentersVermont Service Center Slow and has Backlog
Vermont may be getting backlogged even more soon. If you look on USCIS's website, they are going to be processing more cases (non K-1 and K-3 visas) that are being shifted from other service centers. One can only hope this will speed up some of the other service centers.

USCIS Service CentersUSCIS...A Day In The Life

Yes they do handle a heavy case load, I think people are just emotional because they miss their loved ones so much and they just need someone to take it out on and USCIS is the one holding their petition up and they are an easy target, that's all. I don't really think it is anything personal against USCIS, this is just such an emotional process, it's hard not to complain every now and then.

I agree with you 100%! I just thought I would share. I honestly didn't know there were that many cases.

USCIS Service CentersUSCIS...A Day In The Life
Some people on this board only like to complain about USCIS and the process. Yes, I agree that some things are messed up but check out these statistics. You can find more of them on their website.

Every day the 250 offices worldwide:

? Conduct 135,000 national security background checks

? Answer phone inquiries from 82,000 calls to their toll-free customer service phone line

? Process 30,000 applications for immigrant benefits

There are alot more statistics on-line. I just thought I would share.

Sorry this should have been posted in Off Topic...oops

USCIS Service CentersVermont slowing down???
I had posted some time ago that Vermont was starting receive other visas from other locations such as California and Nebraska. They were not marriage based visas. This may be why Vermont is slowing down. I got this information off of USCIS's website. I think it was effective April 1st.

Just my thought.

Those dates are so wrong. The Nebraska NOA2's coming out now are from the first 2 weeks of March. I don't know why their dates are always 3 weeks off like that.

USCIS Service CentersCalifornia Calling

We have all read how to call in to the Vermont Service Center. But, I have not seen anything posted that describes the key sequence to reach the California Service Center. Does anyone have that number??

Or, maybe there is more than one California Center? How do the staffing levels compare between Vermont and California?

I wonder if there is a second location in California. When I recieved my I-797C it had the address...

California Service Center, 2nd Floor 24000 Avila Road, Laguna Niguel, CA 92607-0111

The website uscis says CSC is at...

California Service Center, 2nd Floor 24000 Avila Road, Laguna Niguel, CA 92607-0111

But the mailing address is...

hmmm.... I could have swore it was diffrent

I wonder if they built a huge building and staffed it will millions of people to help us.

I can only hope.

Yes I remember on my transfer the address was different also but I don't have it with me to verify what it was.

USCIS Service CentersRFE's from CSC

Hi!

Can anyone tell me what they are doing at the CSC?

We got transferred from NSC to CSC on 6/1 and they only say they received our papers on 6/14 - what's up?

If the process takes too long and wedding plans have all been set, is it possible to withdraw a K1, get married and file a K3 instead?

Since you just filed, you will be waiting awhile. If you look at the timelines for other people in California or that were transferred from Nebraska you will see that most go back to when IMBRA began March 6th. There are some others that date back to January and February.

Is anyone else as crazy as I am??? I know I have at least 5 more weeks to go but I find myself checking the USCIS web site 3 or 4 times a day!!!! I don't know what I expect to see but I still do it! I work midnights so I sleep in the day time. I find myself waking up at least twice a day to just go and check!!! Help me I am obsessed!!!
I will be glad when I get NOA2 so I can stop this obssessive stuff. No wait, I will probably set a timer and count down the days until the interview then....... OMG I NEED HELP!!!!!!! :P

Oh Gary you are not alone! But the good news is that several approvals from early Feb. have just come through so they are moving along again. And I have to think that the fact that you have already had 2 touches is nothing but good (I haven't seen anything yet :( which is probably a good reason for me to stop checking!)

Ha ha! We just filed today. My fiance says I will probably have USCIS's website in a little window on my computer 24/7.
