This made me cry as well. :crying:

I miss everything about my fiance. I miss just being able to sit together and cuddle on the couch or having him next to me when I wake up in the morning.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresWell since Nebraska is dragging it's feet on our visa
I understand the frustration too. We have been waiting over a year for his divorce decree. I check twice a month to look how Nebraska is moving along. It looked like they were doing good until I checked tonight and saw they have fallen behind again since Vermont is on January 29th. We will be filing at the end of March of this year.

We have a family vacation (I have two girls from a previous marriage) in September 2006 and I have a feeling he won't be here by then. :crying:

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures?? On filling out forms
I am finally filling out the forms for the K-1 Visa (been waiting a year). In the examples, it shows filling it out in caps. However, the city I reside in and the province my fiance lives in is too long for the box when you fill it in CAPS. Is it ok to fill it in using regular case letters. For example, the city I live in is Olmsted Falls, OH. Is it acceptable to just type it the way I did in my example?

I hope that makes sense.

Thanks!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresBackground Checks
I was just reading another thread about somebody being held up because something came up on their background check. This is starting to worry me. My fiance was denied at a land crossing border last May. He was coming to see me but was bringing some personal items with him. They viewed it as he was trying to come into the United States and wouldn't be leaving. That was not his intention at all. Now I am wondering if this is going to cause a problem with the approval. He has since been to the US twice to visit me and hasn't had a problem.

What does everybody think? :help:

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresHow many peopel waited to file I129F
My fiance and I met August 04. We wanted to file this time last year but delays in his divorce has caused us to put this off. We will hopefully be filing end of March 2006. I have filled out the forms several times being promised his divorce would be over and then the Canadian courts had their own agenda. Crossing my fingers that this is the last time I am filling out the forms.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresCanadian Interview Info
Yes it is Vancouver from Calgary, AB. When my fiance and I first met he lived in Calgary so we planned to go to Vancouver for the interview. Then he moved to Winnipeg, MB so we thought it would be Montreal. Now he lives in Kelowna, BC and we are back to Vancouver. I told him to plant his a$$ down and stay there til our interview date!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresDivorce Decree
I have a question with refence to the divorce decree for the I-129F. We are waiting for my fiance's divorce decree to come from his attorney. She was going to fax me a copy of the certified copy. Is it ok to send in just the photocopy of the certified copy? The reason she was going to fax this is because in Canada there is this 30-day cooling off period after the divorce (whatever....its been 1 1/2 years). We wanted to start the visa before the 30 days was up but wouldn't receive the original certified copy until after the 30 days.

I hope this makes sense..... :help:

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresLetter of Intent
I have a question on how to date the Letter of Intent. I am going to see my fiance on March 22, 2006. I was going to take the visa packet with me so he could sign the G-325A and the Letter of Intent that I am preparing. Do the letters have to be dated within days of sending the petition? I thought about leaving the date off and then just printing the date on later. Just not sure if they are picky on the dates. We will be filing the first of April.

Any suggestions? :help:

Thanks!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresG-325A
I have a question on the G-325A. (I have filled out this form about 5 different times and still come up with questions :P ).

On the employment, my fiance currently works two jobs. The second job I just from (10/2005) to Present (this is filled in under the month under the 'To' column). Is that ok?

Also, for a short time he was unemployed due to a medical condition. I should put that in there right instead of having a gap between jobs. I didn't put that he had a medical condition. I just put unemployed from and to dates. Is that right?

:help:

Thanks in advance!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresHow do you deal with loneliness?
I cry alot. In fact right now while reading this post. Today was one of those days that I really miss him. I guess its because we don't get to spend as much as we used to on the phone, IM or webcam. In fact, he doesn't even have a cam anymore. He is working two jobs to keep himself busy and save up money for the move.

We have been through hell and back over the past two years and we haven't even filed the I-129F yet.

Hang in there! There is always somebody here to talk too! It helps me to read VJ to see how other people are handling this journey.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresI-129F
I know this is asked like a million times but I am really nervous about this question on the I-129F. This is the question that asks how you met. Since it doesn't give you much space, I was going to type the following:

We met in an on-line chat room. See evidence of meeting letter attached.

I have a two-page letter showing all the dates that we have been together. We see each other approximately every 3 to 4 months and have been together for 2 years.

Do you think my statement is sufficient and then putting my letter behind this referencing it to question 18? :help:

I have plenty of other evidence that I am submitting, i.e. photos, phone bills, airline tickets, etc. but I am nervous about this question.

I think I am just paranoid I am going screw something up. Okay I will stop rambling!

Thanks!

I am assembing my package for the K-1 (finally) and I have a question. In the instructions on assembly (#11), it says copy of birth certificate for the US citizen but doesn't say anything about the foreign fiance. I thought I had to send his along too. If so, where do you put that in the packet?

I have copies of both our Divorce Decrees as the last item.

Also, do I need to put in there a copy of my marriage certificate to show going from my birth last name to my existing name (the last name of my ex-husband)?

I just want to make sure I send everything and trying to avoid an RFE. :help:

Thanks a bunch!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresQuestion on name
I have one more question. (Sorry I am being paranoid) On the various letters for the K-1 petition, I put our first name, middle initial and last name. Is it ok that I do that or does it have to be your first name, full middle name and last name. On the forms, I used our full names but on the cover letter, letter of intent and proof of meeting letter I only used the middle initial.

I hope this makes sense.

I have a question with regards to this. I have read the guidelines like a zillion times but how do you attach it to a piece of paper and then to the G-325A. They say not use staples. I am using the ACCO clips but how do you attach the bag to the paper I guess is what I asking?

Thanks,

Ok I am getting conflicting information. When I filled out the G-325A for my foreign fiance, I checked at the bottom of the G-325A - Other - K-1 Visa. I was just reviewing the form on VJ and Naturalization is checked with I-129F Petition for Alien Fiance filled in under Other. So which is it?

I am going to be ticked if I have to redo this. Please help! :help:
