I have seen some ppl get an approval with out a single touch and then I have seen some with 7 + touches before the approval comes... I dont believe that they stamp the passport the same day... at best... i believe that it will take 3 days.. worst case I have heard of someone still waiting for the past 4 months ... Look at this from the US Embassy in New Delhi : http://newdelhi.usem...ainterview.html 2.) you dont need the packet that the emabassy sends you to take you medical, all you will need is the interview letter that the NVC sent you via email... As far as Dr.'s in the punjab... IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	AP How long?	My wife had her interview in Dakar, Senegal on June 22 2010. The interview took 5 minutes she answered all the questions about me, the only question she didn't know was the name of my former wife (My former wife by the way, sponsored my green card, but I got my citizenship through military service). The CO told her she was supposed to know her name, then he asked for our pictures and my wife showed him our photos. At the end of the interview, the CO told her they will call her in few weeks. I wrote the consulate explaining how according to our customs we don't talk about past marriages and he responded: "your case was referred to eligibility review unit for further research and processing. We will contact you when we can move forward". After 10 days, I wrote another email asking for the status and they replied "we have initiated all our inquiries and waiting for replies. We cannot reliably predict how long this may take". I would like to know if anybody has gone through a similar situation? and if so, what was the outcome and how long this may take? and which kind of research and processing are they doing? I couldnt tell you the name of my Husbands ex girlfriends, or lovers... he had never been married before, but his parents before we were engaged to be married tried to arrange his marriage to some villiage girl... and I couldnt tell you the name of the villiage nor her name.... SO, to say that women would know these things is not really accurate... My Husband does know my ex-husbands name... And that I have dated... but when we are talking at night we really dont bring up who you screwed and why... just doesnt seem relavant to our own relationship... Did they tell you at the interview that everything was fine or did they have some questions? At the interview they told us Congratulations ur visa is approved you will recieve it in 1 week.... it wasnt until 1 week had passed with no visa that i called the embassy and they told me that we were on AP... really dont know why or what red flags we had... "tired of hearing "be positive " but thanks anyway for being concerned. it eases the pain when you hear that you are not alone in the boat. good luck I wasnt telling you to stay positive I was pep talking myself telling you that I was telling myself to "stay positive" honestly... as long as you have been dealing with this I think that I would be going crazy.. I have a plan.. if we dont get the visa in 3 months from the interview I am moving to India to wait it out.. so this is keeping me a little sain right now.. Honestly there is nothing that anyone can say to console someone that is seperated NOT BY CHOICE from there spouse.. I honestly pray that you will hear some good news soon. And what was the reason for the 221g? If the Embassy kept your passport this is a good thing... it might take 6 months or more to recieve your visa from the last interview but it is always a good sign that they approved you at the interview and kept the passport. We also had our interview at the New Delhi embassy. We to were approved and the passport was kept, the Lady that interviewed us told us that we would recieve the visa in 1 week... we have been waiting 24 days to date... My husband told me that most of the time that they use the school records as birth certificates in India, and I have also read that they accept them... I had some for the hotels that we stayed at in India as well as the wedding venue that we rented... I cant find them.... How important are these receipts for the interview process for the K-3 visa? Will my bank account work with the day and place highlighted showing where we payed for it? Can he go and get duplicate reciepts?? anyone else had this happened? Aaaargh... I called myself being really organized... I pray that I have just put them in a very safe place that I will soon discover BEFORE we actually need them. I am not sure if this is will help or not.... but.... when I was in India I got converted over to Hinduism by the priest that married us. And the only documentation that we recieved was a hand written statement from the priest with a couple of witnesses that was there. After the marriage, we took our marriage certificate to the US Embassy in Delhi (at my request) to ask them if this is valid in the US. The lady took my marriage certificate and looked really puzzled and then took it to the back where she and 3 other ppl looked at it. She then came to me and told me that it was not valid and that she did not know how I was able to get this marriage certificate. I started to well up with tears.... and then asked her why it wasnt valid.. and she told me it was because I was not Hindu... <whew> I then showed her ther piece of paper from the priest showing my conversion... she then went away for 10 mins talk ing to the same group of ppl.... When she came back.... she said that would do as proof.. that everything looked in order, but she was very snotty about it I am not far in the visa process... Good luck... I ordered them 6 weeks ago and still have not recieved them in the mail.. SO I will be sending in the faxed copies... when in doubt or in a hurry I would just get your co sposor to call the IRS and have the transcripts faxed to him... I had my Hubby print it out, and then he Fed Ex'd me the signed form... In the mean time I emailed it too them... in the long run the one that they accepted was the one that I emailed to them... there are 3 ways to send in the DS-3032: 1.) Print out form with Barcode, fill it out, mail to petitionor, so they can mail it to the NVC <or you could mail it directly to NVC> 2.) Print out form, fill it out, scan it back on the computer and then email it the the NVC 3.) You got your NOA2 in record time - do you do any visualization exercises? if so, what do you do? I actually do, not just me though, my husband also we also got our DS-3032 accepted in only 3 days when ppl are still waiting I use the power of imagination, I use my intuition, mixed together with lots of prayer and fasting <I fasted every other day for 6 months before I sent off the I-130> and when we recieved the NOA2 it was a really awesome time, my husband was actually at this temple down in Pune< we hadnt been able to talk for 2 weeks due to his phone not having reception,> the day I recieved the NOA2 he had been in meditation the whole day, then the approval came and his phone also started working the same day . DO you believe in the Power of NOW? Thoughts are things, Thoughts become things... we are like a magnet, if we wake up with negitive energy then negitive things are drawn to us... wake up with positive energy then positive things are drawn to us... less you ask, how do you wake up in positive energy.. through meditation and my husband does krya yoga...
