When I mailed off my packets I called the USCIS and asked them this very question, they told me that it is not abnormal for the NOA1 to take as long as 1 month, and there is nothing that you can do about it until the 1 month mark has pass. I was lost somewhere... didnt realize ... ok so here are there dates 09-29-2009: NOA1. 01-25-2010: NOA2 petition approved granted this is for a CR-1 visa and I have some bad news peeps... I am in the wrong thread... I am to ditzy for my own good.... I was using the NOA1 date from my I-130 instead of my <sigh> November date for my NOA1 of my I-129f petition.... Have you read the LingChe NVC shortcut? http://www.visajourn...he_NVC_ShortCut this was really helpful to me... and I found out that someone flew through NVC in only 13 days!!! I guess I can be a little more pessimistic, But, from what I have gathered is they can touch your case if they even just move you file from one cubicle to the next, touch it for a RFE, an approval etc..... there are always a reason they touch it and some ppl can have there petitions touched several times before an approval, I hope and pray that this is "IT" plz keep us posted	Amit-N-Melody	Female	India	2010-02-05 13:13:00

OMG... the more I think about this the more I get nervous for you... I could of sworn some where that I read that wedding photos are REQUIRED and you had to show pics of all the ppl that are in the wedding to make sure that there was a communial response or something like that.... I am extremely tired and I could be wrong... I am curious... have you ever read anything like this? It seems like you have alot of marriage bonifides.. this is what I sent in this order : I-30 *check for 355 *cover letter with list of everything included * completed and signed I-130 form *G-325a and photograph (petitioner) *Color copy of my birth certificate and my passport *Copy of my DL with my last name changed to my Husbands *G-325a and photograph (beneficiary) *Color copy of my Husband's Certified Birth Certificate and passport (also I included his live birth report and CBSE) *Copy of registered Marriage Certificate *Copy of my Hindu Conversion Certificate *Copy of Certified DIvorce Decree (petitioner) *Bank Statement showing co-mingling of financial resources *Notorized Affidavit from me explaing our relationship *Notorized Affidavits from both sets of parents, siblings, and friends (25 in total) *30 pics of the wedding and honeymoon everything was divided accordingly and I attached every category with a paperclip, the only thing I stapled was the divorce papers I-129f *Cover letter explaing everything that I have encluded *I-129f form *copy of the I-197c NOA1 *G-325a and photograph (petitioner) *Copy of my Birth Certificate and passport *G-325a and photograph (beneficiary) *Copy of my Husbands Birth Certificate and passport *Copy of our Marriage Certificate and my Hindu Conversion Certificate *Copy of Certified Divorce Decree (petitioner) I didnt include as much information in the I-129f because I believed that they would pull both files together and see everything. I use this phone card service called Amantel, and they email me an overview on all the calls that I have made to his number... which is like 4 hours a day for the last year I have snail mailed him several packages, and included some pictures that my kids have drawn of the whole family. Netflicks will allow you to add him to an account and you can get the DVD's sent to your house and both your names will be on it. I dont know how helpful emails are, but they cant hurt. If you can go back and visit him then DO IT.. I think that is the best evidence.... not to mention pics pics and more pics... not just with him but with his whole family. I am not far in this immigration process and my knowledge is limited... so I dont know what kind of advice I can give... only suggestions from experience	Amit-N-Melody	Female	India	2010-02-01 21:53:00

I hope it is worthy of a NOA2 also. Are you establishing an ongoing relationship right now? I have no idea why some ppl get approved and others do not. I think it has alot to do with the organization and the materials included in the I-130 packet... obviously the more evidence you include.. with all the required documents the more dry cut your case would be... meaning... the lazy americans <yea I am one of them> would approve the easier applications first... and then go back to the ones that they would have to think about, or get some more information on.....
