K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresTexas NOA1 over 4 weeks!
As easy as it may be for me to say this..... It will come. But, I do agree that it has taken a bit longer than I would have expected. Unfortunately, the anxious feeling has only left me briefly for a day or two after receiving my NOA1. Now that I am in the NOA2 waiting phase, the anxious feeling is back!!!! Aagghh..... Sorry, I know your notice will come and you will soon be in the NOA2 boat with the rest of us. Good Luck on your new baby. I wish you a fast approval.....:)

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduresplease help-post office message
This is the exact same message I received when I sent it to TSC. Every morning a representative from TSC goes to the P.O. Box and signs for all the envelopes in the box. You will receive your green card back with a stamped TSC as the pick-up signature......No worries. Welcome to the world of waiting! :)

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresTo my adjudicating officer

[size=7]THANK YOU !!!!!!!!!!!

It makes me excited to see people with almost identical dates. I have had no touches since I sent our paperwork, but from the looks of your timeline, you didn't either. I simply have the NOA1, the touch telling me they sent the NOA1 and nothing since. Hopefully, I am on the same path you are......Congratulations!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresK-1 or just get married? Confused...

Hi All,

Am a little confused with all the timelines.

I'm a UKC and my fiancee is USC.

From the forum I read that if she files K-1 it will be around 6 months before I can go to US to marry.

What about if we just get married outside US? Is that a faster route to us being together in US?
We would marry anywhere if it speeds things up?
Is it quicker to file I-130 in UK?

Thanks.

M

I think that the K-1 (fiance visa) is the quicker option. The K-3 (spouse visa) tends to take a little longer. Either way you look at it, you are going to be in for a wait. But, I hate to quote a time amount to you. At this time, people are being approved at all different lengths of time. Most of the time it does not matter what country you are from when filing for these things. However, some countries take a bit longer to schedule the interview. So basically either way you go it can be a while, but I chose in the same situation to go for the K-1. Hope this helps.... good luck!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresMight get a RFE~!!!
I can't believe it.... I checked and rechecked our paperwork before sending it in 2 months ago. I just now got it out to look at it (Boredom) and realize that on one of my fiances G-325 pages (page 4 of the 4 required) he forgot to sign it. He signed all the other 3, but missed the 4th!!!!!! All 4 dated and filled out completely, but missing one signature.....UGGHHH!!!! Maybe they won't notice and we won't get a RFE......:)

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresCall USCIS or not?
Would it be a waste of my time to call USCIS and ask for an update on my case? I haven't had a single touch or anything since my NOA1. The last "touch" on my case was 08-22-06. But, I am fairly confident that was only because they were mailing my NOA1 to me. Anyways, I am not completely impatient yet, but I would like to know if there is anything going on. But, perhaps they wouldn't know anything and then I would be wasting my time....... :D

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresAn impatient question....haha

Okay, since I am in the waiting game....sigh..... I am coming up with impatient questions....

I have a daily habit of every morning checking my email and then checking USCIS to see if I was touched. I only do this once a day. My question is: Does USCIS do like a bank and only update once a day. So if it is not there in the morning, then there is no reason to check again later......I hope me question makes sense. Or should I succumb to the urges and check every 1/2 hour....hahaahahahah

It is possible to get locked out of the account for excessive access.

I was kidding about ever checking at 1/2 hour intervals. At this time I only check once daily. :)

Congratulations! You will definitely have a happy Thanksgiving!

My case has finally been received at NVC and was given a case number!!! # CDJ--------------
Now it is off to Mexico in the next 5 days! WOOHOO!!!!!

I was looking at your timeline and wanted to tell you about my experience with CSC.....I would advise you to not get discouraged if you go 2-3 months with nothing. No touch or anything. I got nothing for 2 months. But, when I finally did get touched, I was approved 2 days later. So it is almost like they did nothing with my case for 2 months and then wham! we got approved.

I hope you have no RFE's or anything. Remember to be patient and things will be fine! Good Luck! :)

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresInterview Time!

Good luck girl, hopefully everything goes by smoothly. How sad, you didn't post this in our Juarez thread :( , ay que mala, just kidding. You had been missing in our thread for a while now, I guess you were busy preparing all the paperwork. Everyone in the Juarez thread is getting ready for their interviews. I hope everything turns out wonderful and he gets his visa that same day. BTW, you are going on my b-day, so that will be my birthday wish!

I just have one question though, we don't need police records in Juarez, do we?

No. You do not need a police record. I got it just in case....... His record is clean and he has no problems. They probably will not even ask for it. I am just over the top with preparation! hahaahahahaha

I will post it in the Juarez thread!!!!!!! :)

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresInterview Time!
Well we are finally at the moment of truth.....We are planning to have our interview December 27th....... The big day!

We have all the items we need: financial documents, original I-129F, NOA 1 & 2, evidences of our relationship (photos/emails/phone bills), police record (no problems there), letter from Juarez saying they are ready for us, etc.....

We are very hopeful that we get this visa during this interview. But, we are prepared if they require a waiver. I have a completely prepared Hardship letter and documentation. Please keep us in your prayers! :)

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresSecurity Name Checks
Well first of all I am of course American and understand the security needs for our country....I also agree they can check and should check individuals thoroughly. Its definitely possible that if a person had a smooth check once through the system, they could possibly do something after the original check that would pull up on a second or third check as a red flag........

Anyways, I think that we all know that security checks are good and serve a purpose....
luvinmbFemaleMexico2007-03-23 13:39:00
K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresSecurity Name Checks
I just thought it was funny when I noticed how many "FBI Namechecks, fingerprints, etc...they do repeatedly throughout the immigration process....

Prior to ever having a visa interview, our fiances/spouses are checked on lots of security levels w/ fbi namechecks, border system checks, etc. and most are eventually even fingerprinted at the consulate during their visa interview.....

And then when it comes time to adjust status, your fiance/spouse gets the biometric fingerprint appointment and yet another fbi namecheck ran on their names.....

I mean how many name checks and fingerprints are really necessary? I would think that once you get the visa, they have already determined you are good to go for adjustment....(yes, I know not always the situation, but the majority) Just seemed funny to me.

Asia: East and PacificSubmitted Blue slip documents today...
QUOTE (Guy&Hoa @ Feb 5 2008, 12:04 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Hello all,

My fiancee submitted all the documents requested by the US Consulate today from our Blue slip last week. It was a stressful week, getting all documents together and having the responses reviewed by my attorney and her attorney at IOM in HCMC. I feel better now, and I hope I don't have to wait too long for a response. Did any of you other couples that had to supply additional documentation for a blue slip, what was the typical wait time for your responses?

Appreciate any comments...

This is what they asked for and what I sent:

They asked for proof of my former spouse current address. I was able to have my former spouse draft and sign a document that she lives in another home. She also notarized it.

They asked for general information about my ex_spouse which I had already provided them, when I originally sent all the paperwork to USCIS last year. I went ahead and gave them duplicate information. (If it helps my case, I won't complain)

I provided them with (2) sworn statements regarding how we first met and how we communicate, which I alluded to in my earlier postings last week.

I feel confident in what I submitted and our attorneys didn't have to modify or delete any sentences. I hope for success.

-Guy&Hoa
