K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresInconsistent numbers!
It's a tough issue as India exclusively uses the pre-paid system leaving no monthly paper trail. In the US we are post-paid and have a monthly bill/statement at the end of the month. I am lucky that my wife's number has not changed during the entire time. She lives in a larger city from where you describing your fiancee lives so we don't have the connection issues you are having.

I would be thorough and get anything and everything you can from the US side in terms of statements and phone records. I was able to obtain T-mobile phone records when she called my cell phone so it shows her number when she called me. I also use Reliance Global Call to call India via discounted rates and they have an excellent billing statement monthly that perfectly shows what phone it is being dialed from and which number was dialed to and how long we talked. They can easily verify my number with the T-mobile statements I sent them.

In terms of India. You can have your fiancee try to contact his mobile service provider to see if they can provide past phone records. I don't know how it works in India but it's worth a shot. You just be thorough as you can from Stateside as it is much easier to obtain these records than in India.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresQustion about sponsorship and need help...
Your gonna need a co-sponsor.

India does not play lightly for those that barely meet the requirements. Most straight forward cases are sent into 221g for this alone.

A friend of mine on here recently finished up his schooling and is making $100,000 annual income but he did not make much the previous 2 years due to being in college finishing his MBA. Even with a good steady income now he was still demanded to show a co-sponsor with steady income so his wife would not become a public charge.

So, just think that you need a co-sponsor and prepare this way. Don't doubt it, just do it.

If my buddy did not think proactively that he would need to have a co-sponsor he would be in 221g land and waiting for his wife to get her visa...this wait is the worst of them all as you are at the finish line but can not break the plane.

Good Luck!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduresuscis sent the petition direct to consulate
NVC is a quick turn around point for K-Fiancee visa's. They accept the file and then there is a quick turn around to send it to the correct consulate based on the jurisdiction you reside in.

Several people have had this done to them and no matter what USCIS says, the application stops at the National Visa Center before it's sent to the consulate/embassy abroad.

Good Luck on the rest of the process!

It does suck but it can't be helped :(

Make sure you take her to see the zoo lights and if you can, pop on over to Oglebay in Wheeling for the Festival of Lights (Christmas, not Diwali lol)! This is a GREAT time of year for her to come...she'll be dazzled by the magic of Christmas decorations and the fantastic sales JUST before the weather totally sucks for three months  Make sure you get her a parka!

Totally forgot about the Wildlights! I can't wait to take her strolling around Easton and Polaris malls..do the carriage ride at Easton etc.

She might need more than a parka...I don't think she has seen anything below 50 F. lol

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresI am now TOTALLY convinced

Two other couples were denied this week.

I truly believe that the ONLY reason Dipu and I weren't denied is because I was there. We had lots of support and notarized letters and we spent about 110 days together total but they still had a 221(g) filled out and ready to hand over. They threw it away when they were introduced to me.

I must have not see the part where they thew away the 221g when you were introduced!

Sadly, India is a high fraud country and interracial marriages are not the norm and it also being a fiancee visa it adds to the mix as well.

There was an interracial marriage in my group (April 2011 Filers) that had 0 issues with the process. They were married and had a child together.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresI am now TOTALLY convinced

That totally sucks. Two others were denied by Delhi this week. Team Erra is getting married this month I think after being denied last year and trying to fight it.

I hate when they give the BS reason it expired. They know darn well they can choose to extend it. They are just taking their sweet time in reviewing, waiting for it to expire so that they don't have to list a legitimate denial reason that will get them in trouble if it is overturned.

I say get married and start the visa process over and GO TO THE INTERVIEW.

I can't recall having read any denied marriage visas from India, even for interracial couples. They seem to slide right through like butter.

I agree with Rebecca on this one.

Only one I have seen that had issues in the IR-1/CR-1 route was a marriage based on different religions (Hindu/Muslim). They were still able to overcome it.

Try to make more visits if you can to see your fiancee as well. Those immigration stamps speak volumes...

Catknit answered your question above.

We got through pretty quick with the IR-1/CR-1 visa. It took a little more than 7 months. I am quite shocked how fast it went thru compared to the other timelines I have seen.

Plan for a year at least if you re-file.

Fiancee visa's have a 1 year validity and IR-1/CR-1 visa's NEVER expire.

If you are going to get married eventually, why not just do it in India and have a party/reception in the USA.

It's based upon local customs. They can judge and scrutinize anything they want when it's out of the societal norm. I know it sucks, but it's the battle you face.

All the evidence is fine and dandy that you plan to send the biggest would be if you were present for the interview, even if they don't allow you in. This trumps all other forms of evidence that you can provide via paper.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresHave a spiritual marry before K-1, will it cause any trouble?

Hello,

We applied I-129f on July. We're at intinial review now, it has been 2 months and we're still waiting for USCIS approve our case.

My fiance is going to see me again in the end of this year. We're planning to have a spiritual wedding, because he's Christian and we want God witness for our love. It will just my fiance, me and the pastor who will say some words for us. We already contacted to a pastor and he agreed to do that for us without any paperwork. And of course that we will have a legal wedding when I come to US.

I just want to know if this thing might cause any trouble for us when I go to interview? Should I tell them that we have this wedding at the interview? Will they deny my visa because of having a non-legal religious wedding? Please give me some advices! Thank you!

Below are links to forums from different Embassies/countries, but same scenario...one being a gift given to parents during an engagement ceremony, but was construed by the CO as the couple being married. If that small incident (a gift) could deny these couples, what do you think the CO will think once a Pastor performs a ceremony...legal papers or not??

Case #1

Case #2

I agree with what others have stated...wait until you get to the US then marry. IMHO God will recognize your love for one another without a Pastor speaking for you...because it will come from the heart.

There is a 16-year difference between my husband and I, and I am past child bearing years, but it never came up. I think it all depends on the CO you get for the interview and their mood. As stated previously, better to have proof than not when needed.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresPhone Records

Hello All!

Just a quick question for clarification... Is it necessary to submit ALL pages of the phone records when sending our fiance?

Just wondering cos I know sometimes there can be many "Extra" pages in the phone bill so I wasn't sure if it was ok to JUST submit those calls highlighted on ONLY the pages that apply to the International calls opposed submitting every page of each months phone bills.

Thanks in advance!

I submitted ALL the pages, and this spanned at least 3/4 different phone providers, including localphone.com. My son and I share an account, so I did not send the pages that had his number/phone calls, and it was arranged so that his actitivity was at the end of the bill so it was easy enough to leave his activity out.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresManila US Embassy: Original Documents
Hi, I recently had my interview at USEM last Friday I would advise to photocopy the docs that you will show them. As for my experience they took the copy of my fiance's ITR 2010, W2, Employment Certificate and copy of his policy life insurance since I'm his beneficiary. The Filipino (upon screen interview) will ask questions and would need proof and will staple it with the Forms then it'll be forwarded to the consul. So if you still want to keep the original docs a copy would be good.

For St.Luke's, you would need 4 2x2 photos, SLEC Online Registration, copy of NVC/NOA2 if you don't have NVC (just in case), copy of Biographic info of your passport, your passport and of course the money amount to PHP 9,3xx.00

Good luck on your medical and interview....medical is tougher than the interview though Posted Image

Hello fellow friends at Visa Journey! :)

When submitting your paperwork to the US Embassy in Manila for a visa interview, do they return all of your original documents to you? If not, what documents do they keep?

What are the all of the required documents during your visa interview? And St. Luke's? :)

Thank you for all of your help!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresI-129 Question
Hello, I am just starting the process of trying to get my Australian fiance into the U.S. I am currently filling out form I-129 and I have a quick question.

My fiance has two middle names, and they will not both fit in the space provided. Even if I try to write it out by hand, I know I won't be able to fit both of them. Should I just write the first of the two middle names, or do I need to put both of them somewhere else? Do I need to attach a whole different page for the continuation? And if so, what do I write in the actual box provided?

EDIT: Also, for #10, if I was born in the U.S., am I just supposed to leave the rest of those boxes blank, or do I need to put in None or N/A?

My fiance will be using the Sydney consulate as well, so I went searching for information yesterday. I found this great page on here that lists reviews of the Sydney Consulate.

http://www.visajourn...?cnty=Australia

This includes questions they were asked at the interview and everything. It seems like you shouldn't have too much to worry about. =) Plus, 10 months isn't that long, considering the requirement is having met in the past 2 years. I'm sure they're plenty used to hearing about people being apart 10 months for the visa process.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresLeaving Blanks?

Several people with experience here have stated NOT TO LEAVE BLANKS on the I-129f. Is something unclear about that? One has stated that they received an RFE and lost several weeks on the process for that.

I understand not to leave entire questions blank. I was just unclear whether every single blank portion of a question (city, state, dates, etc.) needed to have N/A in the spaces. I thought maybe it would be sufficient to put N/A in the first box to indicate the entire question did not apply to me (even the sample forms here on VJ did this in some places). But if I have to put N/A or None in every single blank box of the entire form, then I will certainly do that.

Well, "see attached" won't even fit in the box, so I'm stumped about that as well. And I don't want to write something that's not their name in a name box and have them think that IS their name... x_x I'm so confused.

Thank you =) Now that I have that established, I have a few questions about what should be none and what should be N/A.

Should fields that ask for names be N/A? Such as when it asks for names of prior spouses and I do not have any, should that be filled in as N/A or None?

I'm really confused about what answer would require None. It seems like almost everything would be better with N/A.
