IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresDo they need to see original W2's at the interview??
I, personally, think a copy should be fine. Hell, some companies only have electronic W-2s now. So, to print one is a copy!

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresTOCHED
I've heard "touching" has virtually no affect on a case. It is neither good nor bad. It only means someone looked at it and had to make a recording to note they did. Approval is all that really counts!

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresWhen you folks say your petition was 'touched'...
My official "cut & paste" answer regarding "touching"...

"Touching" is meaningless and no big deal. Some petitions get 'touched" and others never do. It only indicates someone had your petition in their hands and made note of it on the database. What truly counts are NOAs (yeah!) and RFEs (Boo!) smile.gif

so does this mean his visa could be refused because he has I MISS YOU on his arm??????? what can happen?? everything else is in perfect order, we have everything we need, he just has this on his arm...

clear it up with a scar treatment ointment
or go for a Diamond Peel (go to dermatologist for this) or go for scar treatment.
if the interview and medical is still far off, you may still have a chance to cure the arm.
if not, still go to a dermatologist.

BUT I would say if it is really deep.. since this is subjective...
the health professional may want to subject him to mental disorder test.
as already said by lots of people, cutting is not an ordinary behavior...
even if it is a first time. we're not labelling your husband or anything, we're just saying
from the point of view of an outsider, even if this is the first time.. it may signal some sort of
depression or self-esteem problem.
After all that is said and done, there are quite a few 'immigrants' who did go 'mental' while staying in the US
shooting out number of people. And I'm sure the panel of doctors would note certain irregularities in the behavior of a person.

Talk to your husband, ask him what is up with him... this is not normal, really.. even if done only for the first time.

Good luck!

Call NVC don't wait for them to tell you it is a false RFE.
I assume.. you can't just say you've submitted it already. They might have lost it or the copy looks like a photocopy or it has smudges, either way.. you may have to submitted new sets of documents.

Keep in mind you are talking to the goverment here, and you're the one who need them more. If you sit on this, you'll be the one to suffer anyways.

PS: Don't use ALL capital letters here. Feels like you are shouting on us.

It means you have a long tough time ahead!
Won't help being from Iran!

Or that they have system glitch and was unable to print your NOA1.
Wait 30 days then call them ask what happened.
Request for another copy if you have not received any.
If you are not filing for K3, this is no biggie.
See my timeline... I didn't get my NOA1 until 1 month and 2weeks later.
If you want to check your status online.
Look at the back of your check... they stamped a series of number there...
starts with EACXXXXXXXXX or WACXXXXXXXX ....

EAC = Vermont
WAC = California

Add 1 to the last number.
ie: 5 + 1 = 6

therefore your case number is EACXXXXXXXXX6 or WACXXXXXXXXX6

log in to USCIS website.

Good luck!!

yes, do not worry so much.
make sure your husband is relax and not stressed with these issues when he goes in for interview.
be confident... and pray. Make sure he dresses well and tell him to take his time in answering the questions.
Ask to clarify if he is unable to understand the question the first time around.
Remain calm... and God willing he will get that visa without problem.

Good luck!!

We have a lawyer, so there will be NO DS3032, just goes straight to the AOS and IV bills I believe? I noticed most other users received their bills in like 5-6 days, is there anything I can be doing to speed it up? I can't use any shortcuts cuz my lawyer advise against it (not that I agree with him). HELP??

uhmmm.. don't know... did you give NVC your email?
We're still waiting for ours, got our NVC case number on May 11th.

I think you'll still get the DS3032 and assign your lawyer as your agent.

I used my married name in the I-130 forms.. but when I got my DS3032... they put in my maiden name.

plus, women have a right to retain their maiden name after marriage anyways... so you'll be alright.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresCR-1 questions
bonafide relationship can be proved by how many visits you made, pics, emails, snail mails, etc.

reasonably around 6months to 1 year time is needed to file a visa. depends... like March, April, and May filers have suffered a delay compared to Feb Filers of this year due to USCIS working on work visas. depends on your timing.

the petitioner can always go out of the country to visit... this will increase the level of bonafide relationship too.

As for the interview, some consulate allow you to be with the beneficiary during interview.. some don't. see specific regional forum to guide you on this.

Good luck!!

Hummm, maybe someone from Egypt here in the forum would know better?

I can't tell you 100% sure, but I think it doesn't matter if it's different from what you sent to USCIS, specially because they accept copies and NVC wants the original which is the most important one. But I think it doesn't matter if it's different, as long as it is original. I also think it doesn't matter if it's a different certified translator, because that really can chance.

Your best option in my opinion, would be try to get the original from your husband, and have him get another copy. By the time you are on NVC phase just call them and ask what you should do about it.
Or maybe someone here from egypt knows what you should do more specifically. smile.gif

this is a good suggestion. send in your husband's copy then get another certified copy.
NVC is also known to lose one or two papers.. you don't want to be stuck with an RFE for no marriage certificate
and wait a long time to get a new copy.

good luck!

Well so far I was told that the touch on my file on March 10th was because my naturalization file was united with my petitions and that they were consolidated

I was given my husbands A# in a subsequent call

And today, I was told my case has been in workflow since last week (although no touches) and I'm not sure what that means.

What kinds of questions should I ask that might gleam more understandable information?

our two previous calls with USCIS, we specifically asked whether the petition is already assigned to an officer.
After we got assigned, we were approved two weeks or so later.
See our timeline.

Good luck!! hopefully we hear some good news for you before May ends.

The conditions in Pakistan are getting worse day by day and I am afraid that they will shut down all operations for the immigration process. My husband is waiting in Pakistan and still waiting.... what do you think we should do???

Not sure what calendar you are working on... 6 months from what? Your timeline says you put in i130 Jan 26,09 6 months would be July 26?
FYI we filed in Nov 08 transferred from VSC to CSC Jan and touched Jan 30th then NOTHING until April 27th when it was approved.

Complaining or gumming up the works with complaints calls and Senators distracting adjudicators from the files they are working on will not help the situation.

They probably flipped your file to a more experienced adjudicator because someone who was a junior newbie could not decide in 15 minutes if your packet justified approval. Just a guess and I assume that is what went on with mine as well having seen people who have been married 5 minutes get approved in lightening speed and our packet took almost the full 6 months and we have been married 8 years plus.

Hate to be politically incorrect but Pakistan may be part of the problem as well.

I filed my I-130 October 24, 2008 where did the Jan 26 come from???
It's frustrating that people who filed their I-130 in Jan 2009 have already been approved in april 2009...
Yes Pakistan is a problem I already know that, my brother in-law had his interview oct 7 2008 but they kept his passport and visa until he called someone in the USA, it was coming close to his wedding in DEC and they finally gave him his visa and passport after all that....

Hi,

I filed mine on Decembe 2008, and sofar I didn't get any answer yet! I can not even check my case on the site, they didn't enter my information to the database! Can you check yours?

wow in your time line it says Based on timeline data, your I130 may be adjudicated between October 29, 2009 and December 4, 2009*.

I can check my staus online but all it says is pending and that is it....

Try to contact your senator... but when we called the USCIS they told us that the 6 months thing is a timeline for a 'perfect world' and it may take them longer depending on the case. I'm sorry and this may even sound politically incorrect.. but honestly, it maybe because your beneficiary is a Man from Pakistan.. they may be trying to jam your petition somewhere. I've read somewhere that some immigration officer are biased on certain culture or place of origin.

Ask for help from a Senator.. or Congressman. The more liberal the better... i hope. Good luck!

Find it hard to believe that you can twist a person's words to look so ugly. Says a lot about your character... again I say your CHARACTER not religion, race or even sex.

Let me clarify this MUSLIMLADY, the OP said the problems was the CO asked how many times SHE (Petitioner) got married before, and he replied something. Could it be that she was married before and it was dissolved but they didn't disclose it? Or they did not include the papers in hence the denial?

Now, see... perfectly good clarification. There was no need to go bite people's head. If you can't understand english properly, as you seem to be having trouble lately, please do not go around spreading your hateful self. Inflicting your sad and pathetic personality all over VJ. The OP asked for help, naturally everybody is interested to know the details. If she wanted to keep it private then she shouldn't have posted her situation here.

This is my last response for you, I am not stooping to your level wasting my time typing words in my defense. Let your God and my God be the judge between the two of us.

You have no Idea what you are talking about to say that 98% of the time that they are right in making the decision that they do. Let's see when you have your interview if all goes well. It kills me when people think that there has to be something wrong with the relationship as a reason why some not all don't get their visa.

I don't understand.

He didn't know how many times that YOU were married? How many times were you married?

That is between her and her spouse. #######.

Out attacking people again? WOW!! You really are a vicious person aren't you? And using foul language now? Tsk tsk tsk...

Tngirl
I still feel you made a racist and discriminating statement towards MENA in your previous thread that I responded to. So you may say whatever you like.

Whatever floats your boat... whatever floats your boat.
As I said let your God and my God be the judge between the two of us.

come on everyone
we should carry respect to each other and all of us ..
im PRETTY SURE none meant any bad means or words ..its just this PROCESS make us MAD ...uhmmmmmmmm

Being racists or not, being MENA or not, being a green alien from Mars, THESE ARE NOT THE ISSUE OF THIS THREAD.!!!!!
ZORQA's probelm is, NOW how do we help her? , by bickering???, GROW UP!!! and take it elsewhere.
Lets help her, advise her the best we can. This is a Visa help webiste, lets help her. Cause if this thread gets locked cause of the bickering, we wont be able to help her and support her in her time of need.

bickering? Paris, I wish it was just that....

but you're right.. Off-Topic2.gif

wish she'd say more though... i'm getting nervous with this 'fake' marriage accusations being made by the CO.
Wonder how they can deduce that in a 5 min interview. headbonk.gif

I know what frustration is and I know what being attacked is.
I've already reported this racist comment to the moderator and hope that some action will be taken against her.
I won't tolerate such behavior and nobody should be accused of being a racist. If I was living in the US or she living in my country, I'd sue her for defamation.

I'm sorry but that comment was uncalled for and I am left with no choice but to report this matter.
