and the internet article where you got your infos about this "madatory bride school" didnt mention if all those 23,000 supposedly students had been K1 applicants after graduating from that defunct school (if it ever really existed)... and even if, they had all been k1 visa applicants, they still DO NOT constitute the MOST(read: majority) that the nephew's friends was implying.

You are even calling people here JUDGEMENTAL but please read your statement and tell us that you are not the same.

The first few weeks arrving the US, you won't really miss yet filipino foods. Since the Philippines is now much influenced with American foods brought about by all these well known fast food chains, so foods in the US aren't that new for us.It is the QUANTITY that will put you into shock,LOL.

Maybe, as what my fiance' then did, he gave us a treat (just as we got out of the airport yes.gif ) to a buffet restaurant, that way we were able to choose and try different foods...though it made him realized next time won't be right to go back there since me and my girls don't eat that much laughing.gif .

Mom and my fiance' uses Xoom coz of its cheaper fees. Charging from debit/credit and checking account has a time difference in processing, likewise with Value/Standard service fee. So far, haven't experienced that long wait of 120 days. You may wish to check on the fees with Western Union, learned that they lowered the fees to compete with xoom.

Hello, I am not sure if this situation is the same with yours. My mom who's in Michigan always uses Xoom to send money, just 2 weeks ago she got an email saying her Bank account has been closed and that she needs to give her account name and password in xoom. My mom verified from the bank and nothing was true about it. She also called xoom and discovered that someone tried to send $200 from her account but the scammer didn't knew my mom's password. My mom asked xoom if this is the first incident that happened they said yes, but probably they just don't want to keep off xoom customers. By the way, the scammer was sending money to Morocco.

So if any of you receive an email similar to this, please don't give any information and instead verify it to your bank.
