Just got home to get my pre-med results, chest x-ray (Tb) and hepa-B screening (HBSAg). These were the tests ordered since these are the ones that would matter known to be communicable. All turned negative, thank you Lord. Hope it goes the same with the actual medical in St.Luke's. Will find time for the girls on a day with no classes.

I understand that they won't honor any of these but it is just to give me a relief on being a paranoid.LOL.

Hi there! I've been there and i've seen everything. The glass window is sooooo narrow that you can hardly slip a pocketbook. Its opening is not on a direct position that you can easily slip something under it. Medyo malalim sa gitna yong opening. That whatever you slip under it will have to be bended abit. The hallow looks like a rounded tube cut lengthwise. Hindi ka pwede magpasok ng something na makapal. Its fine if you submit pics as is, anyway, pagkatapos ng preliminary screening the Consular Officer will return the pics to you.

Greetings to all!

I have read that the consul's window at USEM during the interview is only about 1 inch thick, should I say that's the width? Sorry, am not sure about it. I am trying to figure out what kind of album to make. I have the typical album made of soft cardboard sized 6in x 8in where it can just slip into the window. Can anyone of you who underwent interview please give me an idea or maybe an estimate about the window's length to fit in an unfolded page?

If she's not married with the kids' father and the kids are under her surname, she won't need. That's exactly my case. Does the father support the kids, she would need permission and that's for formality reasons. I hope they are in good terms so as not to create hassles. smile.gif

As far as I know if she was given pink slip means approved, together with a white slip means she's under AR (adminstrative review) - she must have paid DELBROS the document verification fee at Metrobank before the interview to avoid further delays, inform USEM of the payment with complete details,this is I think USEM will send transmittal request to NSO.

The seminar is a pre-requisite before leaving the country for filipino spouses and partners of foreign countries.

It isn't required to be notarized, seeing previous interview experiences, some were asked for notarized letter of intent. It's a case to case basis. Just wanted to be prepared than be sorry. tongue.gif

My wife successfully had her scheduled citizenship interview on May 13. I went with her for morale support even though it was not required that I be there. The letter said for us to be at the Houston office at 7:40 AM. We got inside on time after waiting in line for security screening. (A tip: No cell phones and cameras allowed. You will not be allowed in with them. We already knew that and left the phones in the car.) We placed her letter in the box at the window and waited for her name to be called. She was called in a little after 8:00 AM and the interview took about 30 minutes. We were out of there before 9:00 AM.

She will have to wait for her official letter stating the date of her naturalization ceremony, but the interviewer told her that the next ceremony is on June 12 and most likely she will become a US citizen then. This is months earlier than we predicted when she filed in October 2007.

The interviewer asked her 10 civics questions out of the 96. She passed the English proficiency test easily. She was an English teacher in Belarus and the interviewer was impressed with that fact. The interviewer asked a lot of questions about my wife, me, and our marriage. The interviewer also looked at the documents my wife was required to bring, but did not keep any of them. We brought originals and copies.

That's it in a nutshell.
