I was wondering if anyone else is having this problem? I called my Senator and had to fax information to them. They are now looking into our case.

Unfortunatly I didnt save any boarding passes. I threw them all away after I got off the plane. When I stayed at the hotels my Ficance did the booking under her name. I do have pictures of us together.

Today I just recieved another circumstance of meeting request.
I am just getting frustrated. I guess.. when I stated that I met my fiance online and traveled to meet her in person was not enough. I will try to rephrase my letter and re-submit what other info I have left. I already sent them my airline receipts and dont have any copies of it. I am pretty sure they still have what I sent on files still. I will send more pictures of us together. I will be traveling to meet my fiance agian and maybe I can gather more evidence and send it from Thailand. I hope this will pass soon.

I agree with you sunshinegirl but seems it is not enough for now.. I just checked the online status from USCIS and seems they are sending me another request for evidence. I hope that I will have what they request for. I guess will wait to see when I get the letter. Any ways I will be traveling to see my fiance this January. This time I think I will save more evidence.. but I am keeping my fingers crossed and hope for the best.

I personally wouldn't. I think USCIS are aware that dates can be manipulated. It probably makes no difference either way but I would just send the photos as they are.

I think I agree with you. I will just print out a few pictures and send them in.. will just add some notes in the back and cross my fingers.. hope everything I send in willbe ok..

-> Bank Statements of my ATM withdraws in Thailand
-> Flight receipts and Itinerary

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresCircumstance of Meeting
Hi everyone,

I am new to this forum and have read many good information here.
I just have a few quetions.

We met online and communicated with each other for a few years.
Then when we finally met in person we really hit it off and came really close.
I lived with her for 18 months and we decided to get married.
I came back home to file for the F-129 pettion so we can get married here in the US.
I finally received a NOA on 10/2007 after filing on 06/2007 and seems they are requesting for more evidence.
Unfortunately I lost my passport and cant show the arrival and departure stamps.

They want: Cicumstance of Meeting and Last Meeting evidence.

For circumstance of meeting, do I just write them a letter of how we met?

and for Last Meeting, I have an itinary of our trips together and receipt of my flight to Thailand.

We have photos of us together but none are dated.

Will this be enough?

QUOTE (us11857 @ Jan 18 2008, 06:17 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
My fiancee and I just started the process for the K1 visa. Everything I have read makes it sound like six months is pretty standard. She is coming from Brazil, and has been in the US in the past with a H2B visa working various jobs to learn English. She has also been up here with a B1 for work while she was employed as an engineer. And she has been here with a B2 visa when she visited me last summer. My question is does anybody know if having past visas speeds up the K1 process.

Also, it is very very early, I just Fedex'd the package last friday, but the check was cashed already on Wednesday. Is that a good sign or is that pretty standard.

Thanks,
Scott

I don't think past visa will speed things up much..
Seems the CS take their time to do things.
I never received an NOA1 after about 6 months I just received the RFE.

I think it will be faster if you know someone in the Service Center your filing at.

Alright I recieved my first RFE for more evidence of having met in the past year. I can send a copy of my military orders as evidence as the RFE states, but my problem is that I will have no evidence of my fiancee having been in Korea, she worked there for two years and is from the Philippines. After she returned to the Philippines she had to get a new passport and no longer has the old one that had the stamps in it.

Basically, I've come to the realization that I will have to make a trip to PI to visit her, but I'm curious how that works. Will I have to re-submit a visa application and start this whole process over again? Of course I'm going to have her look in every nook and cranny of her house for a shred of evidence she was in Korea during the same time frame, but barring that I'm thinking it's going to get denied:(

She has to have some kind of proof she was working there or why she was there. The Philippines has to have some kind of record of her going there

Your fiance can request to have her stamps transferred to her new passports. She have to go get a letter from her Embassy to take it to the Korean Immigration so they can do that.

My fiancee printed them out and will turn them in ASAP.
She got her police records and stuff already and everything seems to go as planned.

Go to this link for the US Embassy in Bangkok. It has the packet 3 instructions and forms. She can print them out at any internet cafe'. We ended up printing most of ours out off the internet anyway as we could fill them in electronically.

http://bangkok.usemb...structions.html

If that does not work, contact the embassy via e-mail and ask them to resend them. Here is the format I used for e-mails to the embassy. They responded within a day everytime.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Proceduresmailing out I-130!!!
I didn't know anything when I sent in the I-130 for my wife and me. I just put everything in the envelope and sent it. I didn't have copies of anything, either. I didn't send a cover letter. I wish I had known then what I know now, but our application was accepted and approved on 8-3. Just save your copies so that if they lose anything you have them to send. I spent months worrying about that. But have faith that they will be processing it in good time. Backup copies are what o need most if they lose anything. I sent a disorganized mess, and they figured it out and didn't lose anything. Hopefully it will work out for you, too.

OK, I'm the opposite side of the coin from everyone else. I hadn't discovered VJ yet when I sent in our I-130. I didn't even have a cover letter. I just threw all the forms and pictures and documents in an envelope and sent them off. No paper clips or anything. And I didn't know I should make copies of everything, just in case, so I didn't. But we went through in an average amount of time...so it's all good.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresPAID AOS bill, and now?
Call NVC and talk to an operator there. They will ask for your NVC case number, your name and birthdate, and your wife's name and birthdate. Then you can give them your email address and your wife's email address. You and your wife will be emailed a bar-coded DS-3032. She can then fill it out and send it in as a scanned email attachment to NVC. Also have her send you this as an email attachment, and you can print out a hardcopy and overnight it to NVC with the printed cover sheet. They will accept this and it will be very fast. When my wife emailed ours, they accepted it, but it two weeks to process. I sent in the printed out email from her and that went through right away. Good luck! Have a fast journey!

So I've received instructions to pay 70 bucks AOS fee and fill out DS-3032. What is next? Do I wait for a package. Do I download something?

Pay the fees they ask for online. You should be able to print out the document cover letter once those are paid. The DS-3032 can be emailed in, but it takes two weeks to process that. Have your other one email you an attachment of that form and print it out and send a hard copy to NVC. They will accept that, and it will be much faster. Just wait for the cover letter from NVC. They have your email address and that of the benificiary? If not, call NVC and give them that info right away.
That will speed things up a lot. The number is (603) 334-0700

Don't rely on AVR, talk to an operator there.

Yeah, Line 39 is for you, the petitioner. You are petitioning for your wife to get a visa and she is the beneficiary of that petition. Just fill in your name, address, telephone number, and email address in that section. And make sure she does not sign Part II, that is done at the interview in Manila.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresExpiration date on approved I-130 sitting in NVC?
QUOTE (Desi27 @ Sep 22 2009, 04:27 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Hello to all my VJ Friends,

On 9-22-09 I got a case status online update stating that my I-130 have been approved. It only took 28 days. I was thinking it would take at least three months. Now, I know USCIS will transfer the I-130 to the NVC.

My question is can I wait 45-60 days before paying the AOS and IV Bill? Is there an expiration date on approved I-130 that is sitting at NVC? Is there a certain time frame within which I need to pay the NVC fees?

FYI - The reason I need 45-60 days is because my wife has some exams in November that will determine her pass/fail degree after four years of college education. I would like to have her interview date in December 09/ January 10.

You friends are great. I appreciate all your help whole heartedly.

No need to slow down the process for you. My wife and I got our I-130 approved on 8-3-09. We just got case completed at NVC yesterday, 9-21-09, and are waiting for an interview date to be set. That will happen in early October and we're hoping for an early November interview date. If you want a December/January interview date, you should be trying to get through NVC as fast as possible, as they seem to be a bit backlogged now. Go to the LingChe NVC ShotCut guide in the wiki section of VJ for the best advice of getting through NVC as fast as possible. Good luck!

Yeah, there's definitely something that's gone wrong with your case if NVC doesn't have it by now. Our NOA2 was 8-3-09, and we completed NVC yesterday. Call USCIS, it seems your case got lost somewhere between USCIS approval and NVC receiving it. Sometimes NVC is slow entering things into their system, but not THAT slow!

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresInterview ??
It's a judgment call. It definitely helps to be there. My wife had her interview yesterday, and she passed without me being there. Did I want to be there? Oh, yeah! But our finances didn't allow that to happen. If you can afford to go, I would say yes, go and be at the interview. With everything going on and the expenses of getting a visa and immigrating, that's not always practical. If your case is straightforward, there should be no problem of your SO passing the interview. Nonetheless, it's a stressful time when it's good to be there to support your SO. I say go if it's financially reasonably feasible. If not, save your funds for your immigration journey.
