In my case it says "we estimate your case will be adjudicated between April 1st and April 15th" ...does this mean decision passed by USCIS and therefore NOA2, or the final interview??? IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Just Married...CR1 or K3	We finally got married in California. Just got back from honeymoon and we are going to start the visa process. I live in Toronto and my spouse lives in San Diego. I am starting to see that a CR1 could be faster or better than a K3? What should I do to be able to be down in San Diego to live and work in the shortest time? Thanks! Congrats, I am just starting the process myself and am returning to Ireland next month, so please keep me updated as to how are you are getting along, After much deliberation, it was basically the risk factor that decided it for me, as I had not 'declared' that I was getting married the last time I entered on my visitor visa, there is an inherent risk that they may view this as withholding information. Therefore they may decide not to approve you, this risk is costly but was one I was willing to take however I have heard the number of people being refused for this reason and other such as outstaying their visa while undertaking the k-3 route has increase. This can depend on the interviewer on the day also. For these reasons I bit the bullet and decided I would return to Ireland and follow the CR-1 route, though I will be away from my lovely wife for a while we have been through this before when I was studying my masters in Belgium so we weighed the pro's and cons. We can save a lot as I will be working in Ireland. There is less risk as you are technically abiding by the rules in place. Plus for me I am glad to be interviewing in my own embassy in Dublin but that is just me. Just be sure to make loads of copies and read the instructions for the forms thoroughly and you'll be all set good luck with it all, I hope this helps I thought I should share with you what I just found out as a fellow Newbie to the process Cheers Brian	Shergar	Male	Ireland	2011-04-07 22:03:00

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	About to file I-130 a few small Q's	Hi Everyone, Thank you in advance for your input, I am just putting together the I-130 packet with my wife, before I head home and we had a few (hopefully minor) questions 1). I-94 or lack thereof, I did not receive the little green card in my passport on this journey, I did get it back in Feb 2010 when I came over to collect my brothers remains, on the couple of trips since then I have not gotten this and the one from February is gone from the passport. I this a major problem with the I-130 filing or not, I ask this because I am leaving as soon as it is sent therefore I will not be in the country. also if it does matter would the stamp on my passport and the copy of my online VWP suffice? If you have made it through the mess of a question above (sorry about that) then I promise this one is easier, 2). Just wondering if we are posting this packet from Boston where should it be sent to?? I've been reading the forums for a few weeks now and it still is not clear to me, do they all get sent to Texas and then to wherever it should be?? such as Vermont?? Probably a stupid question but you know yourself I just want it to be right. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	heading home and getting read to start the process	Youre in the same spot I was (about 5 months ago!) We married and Nick sent off the packet about a week after the wedding just as soon as we got the marriage certificate through the post! I wasnt there for long afterwards but sent it about a week before I left. Just make sure on the I-130 you put how you entered the US, and in one of the questions it asks what consulate you will be applying at, or if youre AOS-ing, so thats where they will know that you are going CR-1. It sucks being apart after marrying, but to be honest im (trying!) to use this time to get my stuff at this end together before the move. Not that youll have this problem but changing my name on everything is a feat in itself! And Nicks certainly happy hes got a chance to save for a while Good Luck, and let us know if you have any questions - I know this is the real daunting stage of the process! If you two really wanted to be together during the process, unless there are commitments in Boston, It is very easy to live in Ireland as a USC. I have been here for over a year and just got my GNIB card renewed for 4 years. It took about 5 minutes at the Garda station. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	heading home and getting read to start the process	Hey everyone, So we got married on the 26th March on Hilton Head Island SC, with all our family including mine from Ireland, I have spoken with a lawyer about our options and we have decided that I will return to Ireland and I will file from there while my beautiful wife remains in Boston. I am flying out in May and was just wondering when we should start to file? I will send all our documents to the lawyer to go through and check, however I am unsure whether to send them to the USCIS until I have left the country. This is going to be a tough time having to be apart from my wife after only 2 months of marriage but it is a necessary evil I guess and we have been apart for long periods before while I undertook my masters in Belgium so we are remaining very positive. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Filing I-130	Hi Guys I have a few questions that I am sure you fine people of VJ can easily help me out with, so here goes: married 26th March 2010 filing IR-1/CR-1, beautiful Ashley is in Boston and soon moving to Orlando, I am back in Ireland 2 weeks now trying to finally put my Masters to good use Affidavits: Do I send the Original Notarized affidavit in the original package to the USCIS or is it a copy so that I have the Original for a later part of the process such as the Interview in the Dublin Embassy I have just returned from the US to Ireland and am interviewing for jobs, one of which is definitely looking like I will get it, anyway if I do get it after filing can I amend my employment status after it is sent?It says unemployed at the moment as I was visiting for 3 months but I think for the application this may look better if I am employed. I do have very good savings if this is relevant at all? I have tons of photos of both of us including the wedding itself, any gauge on how many to use would be great, realistically I could use 700+ but I dont wanna do that I as thinking 20+ ????what do you guys suggest? As mentioned above my wife is moving to Florida by 31st of July will a change of address after the filing slow the process considerably?
