All those before us should be given hope as you are now further along as we begin our journey!! It is frustrating seeing people desperately waiting for their cases to progress, and having to wait right up to the 5 month mark. I really feel for you guys and I pray that you hear soon. (I also want you out of the way to make room for us!!!!) It is uplifting to see people getting NOA 2 and then approval. It gives hope and I know that in a few short months it will be us So thanks to all those who update timelines and post their progress. Even though I am not with my Fiance this festive season I will be celebrating and making the most of this time I have left with family and friends. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Where are you, Packet 3?	We got our explanation today. The packet was sent to the US attorney at the EIIC that assisted us in filing for the K1. I guess because he's the attorney on record, they sent packet 3 to him instead of to my fiance. Strange, but at least it has been received. Oh, well that explains it! But An Post is probably to blame, and/ or one of the many bank holidays. Give it a few more days and it will probably show up. If it doesn't have him call his nearest An Post. Also, I swear I remember reading that if you actually never received your NOA2 (as opposed to receiving it and losing it), there is a form you can fill out to request a new one free of charge. That's just me going off of my memory, hopefully someone can come in here and tell you that's actually true! Thanks Coconuts. I hope you're right! It was mailed on the 4th (of January) and it's now the 20th! Granted it's being sent from California to Ireland...but still, the last mail we received here from the USCIS (presumably from Texas) only took a little over a week. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	August 2010 CSC Filers!	I'm unsure as to when to make my doctor's appointment for my medical. One of the requirements at the doctor's office is proof of "Appointment letter or other instructions that you received from the U.S. Government or your legal adviser that show your alien/case number." When does that come? In the letter from my embassy? Yeah I think that stuff will come with your packet 3. We just went ahead with ours because previous people on here from our embassy said they allowed you to book the medical without all of that stuff. You could try booking it and see what they say. Just pop up right now, if we try to call them and expedite our case would we get a positive response from them? or just a mono answer of "try to call back after Xnumber of days"? Only members of the military and humanitarian cases qualify for expedite, the rest of us just have to wait it out unfortunately. Once you exceeded five months you can contact the USCIS but I haven't heard of a single instance where this has made a difference. Let's hope that we receive the good news this month. base on Igor's list those who submitted their application last August 12, 2010 is now being process, our NOA1 is August 18. Its good to wait all these months if you know your application is approved but if you receive an RFE (i hope none of us would receive it) it would be devastating. Calling all those August 2010 filers, if you received or NOA2 or you are approved already please update your timeline or update us. Yeah unfortunately that data frame is consistently inaccurate. Only 7 non-expedited August (csc) filers have been approved (we're Aug. 5th and we're still empty handed). K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Waiting...anything else??	Hi everyone! My fiance David sent in our I129F pack 4 weeks ago, and maybe 2 weeks ago he got the receipt letter in the mail. The receipt EMAIL he got said "we mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case".... So I have two questions to the more experienced petitioners out there: 1. Is the receipt the only thing we get? It's the I797C, and I'm counting that as NOA1...right? But will there be something else "describing how we will process your case" as what we got was just the receipt? 2. Is there going to be nothing between this and our NOA2 some 5/6 months down the line? We neither have any criminal records, children or previous marriages, and sent in a hefty amount of evidence, so I'm not expecting to be asked for more Information. So we are just waiting for the NOA2 in maybe March? David and I only see each other for 2 weeks every 3 months, and I just want something else to break up the time while I'm waiting! :( this is going to be a long hard wait! I have tried several “calling cards” and some other ways of calling the Ukraine and have had poor luck in finding a low rate with good sound quality, I can hear her fine, but she ccould hardly hear me. I would go the Magic Jack route (free) but in her area where her parents live the internet is not good. Alla got approved today but she will need to call family, any suggestions???? If you both have SKYPE ddownloaded on your computers, you can see each other and talk free of charge. The adjudicator updates the file, hence the update, and then it sits around until it actually gets printed and actually gets put in the mail. It was NOT actually in the mail on Tuesday. Why? Are they lying? No. Like any big organization they have people assigned to do certain things. Adjudicators go on to the next file and throw yours in the RFE pile where it gets handled by someone else, and there are several procedures you have caused by not sending the correct information. Someone must generate your RFE letter explaining what you did wrong the first time, package it with a return document and get it out to you. It can atke a couple days internal administrative time. If you were in an office, wrote a letter and put it in the "out" box and your secretary picked it up would you say you "mailed it"? Of course. Because YOU did what you needed to do. You will get the RFE soon. RFEs delay the process, it is best not to get them by reading carefully and interpetting literally. This is a LONG process, no one in the goivernment hurries for you. You do not get a mail notification from them that they received the documents - you will never get notification on this so you are waiting for nothing. No, I dont think you understood my question. I am waiting for the RFE hard copy, I only received notice (on the USCIS website) that they mailed it this past Tuesday. I just thought that they used first class mail and that I would have received it by today. I'm sure I will get it soon, then I will know what the RFE is and can send whatever they need.
