Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussionwill there be an interview?
if there is substantial evidence with the removing conditions there seems to be in most cases an Approval with no interview...

I think there is a thread pinned down here with sample attachements that you might want to consider referencing before sending your package....

goodluck.....

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionStuck in CSC! Anyone else?
I second that....

find your home state senator and work with their immigration liason to sort this out for you....

It really sickens me when folks stationed on military orders out of country are left out to dry by immigration office....

goodluck!!

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionMissing anything?
I sent pretty much the same thing, however I sent them the last three years of my tax returns...

other than that everything looks great, make sure you are using the most recent application....

check and recheck the fee amount...

oh BTW, we also included everything on a cover letter (really your preference), we did that to make the life of the adjudicator easy.....

we always use the money order instead of the check to pay, because with check the immigration office waits until the check clears to initiate your file.... just our preference really....

goodluck!!!

Africa: Sub-SaharanEASIEST AOS INTERVIEW IN HISTORY!!!!!!!
dear BESANGIN,

I am so thrilled to hear good news from you old friends, hope u n ur husband r doing well and are living a life full of blessings from our Lord n Savior. It is truly the best gift God gives one to be able to enjoy their hurband or wife everyday of their life. I wish you the best in all walks of life, especially to be stronger n stronger in your faith. We two are also enjoying our life as one in Christ everyday, she has gotten a job in our church daycare and hopefully soon will get a position in the school that is also part of the church. In process of getting her a car n praying for making this happen with no problems.

Our interview is tomorrow around 11:45, we got all the papers ready but we are not afraid or worried, as Lord has always been on our side and will soften their hearts for us and we will come out with success...

In Christ,

Amar

US Citizenship General DiscussionBacklog Proclamation
yeah at least the memphis office feel the pain of the immigrants and are showing their committment....

wish the CIS in general feels this towards this process at large....

I for one would like for CIS to review the I-751 and remove it by giving the first green card for 3 years, and at the end of 3rd year, the immigrants can either apply for I-751 or N-400.

just my 2 cents....

congrats....

keep your nataralization letter in a safe place, I heard you can use your passsport for almost anything to prove your US citizenship and shouldn't have to produce your nat. latter.

I also heard that if you loose your nat. letter you will have to deal with the immigration office again.....

goodluck....

US Citizenship General DiscussionQuestion about renewing old non US passport after filing for N-400
ok thanks Auscal.....

we do in fact now have a wedding to attend in Canada so I guess its better to get her home country's passport renewed.

US Citizenship General DiscussionQuestion about renewing old non US passport after filing for N-400
we already have a valid US credentials like her permanent resident Card and a Driver's license.

I meant that during this process up until the naturalization is complete and at the point of interview does she need to provide a valid passport from her old country to be given US citizenship.

Plus also we plant to travel to CAnada for visiting some friends after her passport from the old country will expire. Will we be able to travel to Canada with only her green card.

thanks

US Citizenship General DiscussionQuestion about renewing old non US passport after filing for N-400
Hello,

I just filed for my wife's N-400, however her non US passport she has been using all this time will expire in mid-July this year.

My question is should we renew her passport from her old country while we have N-400 in process even when we have no plans to travel outside the country during the processing of her N-400

I am hoping that during the N-400 interview she doesn't have to show a valid passport from her old country to be given US citizenship.

any help will be much appreciated.

thanks

US Citizenship General DiscussionCitizenship Test
Hello,

Can anyone tell me the format for the writing and the reading portion.

do they simply ask the applicant to read a particular sentence from something of their choice.

For the writing portion, do they read something and ask the applicant to comprehend it and write it down.

It seems from the material I downloaded from the USCIS site that they give a word and the applicant to come up with a sentence to read and write down.

any help in clarifying this would be greatly appreciated.

thanks...

US Citizenship General DiscussionN-400 interview & test coming up
it sounds like you have a legitimate reason for living apart, if I was you I would try to have my spouse acccompany me along, there is nothing more than having your spouse present with you showing their support at that time. And oh by the way if the office interviewing at that time have any doubts he/she can call your spouse for any additional questioning.
