US Citizenship General Discussion	Interview Passed in Detroit	I will ask my wife to let me know the questions that were asked of her during the interview and will post them here.... we arrived 10 mins before her interview at 3:00 pm and put the interview letter in the assigned window tray, she didn't get called until an hour later. the interview took roughly 30 mins. She was asked the question to read "Which country is on the north of the US?" She had to write down the answer for it, she wrote "Canada is on the north of US" Then the officer asked is she has the originals of the credentials we submitted for her in her N400, she said yes.... he went over her file and said all is in order, however couldn't find our marriage certificate, she said she has a copy, the officer said, let me look at your file again, and found it, the certificate is longer that 11" as we had folded the copy among other papers. He said yes it is fine, he couldn't see it as it was folded .... she did tell me that her file is gigantic and filled in with lots of papers in it , also at the end of interview they move all passed interviews files to a special room. she was asked basis questions about me, which she answered fine.... they never called me in for further proof.... In Detroit office, I noticed that they let people wait after the interview and after 30 mins to an hour another officer comes out with their oath letter. Her interview was the last one of the day, so basically us and another lady left, we both got letters at the end.... her oath is next week at 10:00 am..... overall, I noticed that the officers are much friendlier, back in 2002 when I did mine, they seemed very rude and yelled at ppl..... US Citizenship General Discussion	USC Spouse presence at the interview	I went with my wife for just in case if they wanted to talk with me, but they didn't and I just sat outside in the waiting area.... everything went well without any problems or any need to talk with me. Personally, in our experience we always want to be in a situation where we don't give USCIS a reason for objection, so I would suggest that if all your documentation is in place there is a good chance they will be fine with yourself. However if for some reason the officer want to talk with your wife and she is not present, your process will be delayed and proabably asked to come again with your wife present.... I think if she can attend her meeting on the phone, have her go and stay in your car outside to attend the meeting and be available on a moment's notice if needed.... US Citizenship General Discussion	Oath completed - our journey is complete	hello all, to let you know all, my wife took her US citizenship oath today and acquired her citizenship certificate at Detroit - Cobo Hall today... the ceremony was only 20 mins long, but it ok 30 mins for her to get her certificate as she chose to sit at the back... The officials were very helpful, they gave a lot of information including directing the people to register to vote and update their Social security records at available desks if they chose to do so..... we took advantage of that and had her register to vote and updated her social security record, they kept her current SS card and told us we will get a new one in the mail.... anyhow, we are applying for the US Passport tomorrow so that we can put an end to this process for good.... US Citizenship General Discussion	what did u bring from the interview	we brought all the originals + driver license and passport from the previous country + copies of the documents we sent along in our file in case they need another copy we also brought 2 extra passport photos per their letter for in case they ask for it..... nothing needed but we have everything ready to not cause any delays..... goodluck on your interview..... cheers	Live By Faith	Male	Pakistan	2009-09-25 09:12:00

US Citizenship General Discussion	Additional Passport Photos to bring for N400 Interview	this is optional.... you can get a new set done quickly and that way if for some reason the officer reviewing your case wants the new set it will not delay your case. US Citizenship General Discussion	Citizenship Test - Multiple Choice??	hi Flsusi, I remember when my wife went to get her biometircs taken, the office gave her a nice printed book with a CD of sample questions.... she would pop that CD in her car and listen to it during her commute to work.... don't know if you got that book with CD of sample questions.... if you review them a few times, you will have no problem during the interview... goodluck	Live By Faith	Male	Pakistan	2009-11-13 09:39:00
US Citizenship General Discussion	Citizenship Test Online - Lessons and Practice Test	hello, when my wife went for her biometrics appt, the office gave her a sample questions book which had the audio portion in the CD as well. she used to listen to those questions in the CD (the same questions are in the book).... the interviewer asked the questions from the book and CD.... these are also available in the USCIS site, AKA sample 100 questions... if you review and memorize them for the interview you will be all set..... US Citizenship General Discussion	Submitting the N-400 90-days prior to eligibility date?	I concur with Ant + D you can apply 3 years minus 90 days from the date your became the citizen..... There is a lot of info here on the items you need to send in in support of your application, however if you have any doubt, feel free to ask and we can help by providing info from our own journeys. that is to say we are not lawyers tp give legal advise of any sort, but can at least help by guiding you in the right direction.
