Canada	Visa Approved	Hi everyone this is Lorry here I have Allie on the phone. He is still in Montreal and not near a computer so I am writing in his stead. We are so very happy to annouce we got the Visa YEAH YEAH YEAH!!!!!! We both did some happy dancing and shed a few tears of joy.. What a relief to have this portion completed at last. Now we can plan our life together. Allie wanted me to let everyone know that it went very easy....Every one at the consulate was nice and polite. His interview didnt take more than 4min Whew what a hugh relief. We have both been on cloud nine all day. Allie says he will write a more detailed description of what happend when he gets back to Nova Scotia...... To waite for the Visa Express Post. We both want to thank every one for their help and support it never would have gone so smoothly with out this site. All you guys are awesome, wish I could hug you all. Lorry P.S I Love You Baby cant wait to see your smiling face at the Spokane Airport Hi Sweetheart. I'm looking so forward to seeing you at that Airport and to have you in my arms again. I had no problems at POE on any of the visits. Just the usual questions where you headed, for how long, ever been to the US prior and where. I brought all my paper work with me along in case they had problems with anything regarding the Visa Petition. Just be honest don't tell em more than they ask info on Good Luck what is best POE.................like i said Toronto is unbearable!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know what you mean They're pretty stern in TO lol lol 3 of the 4 trips were through Toronto The last one was through Halifax. US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	Question 11 on I-134	Hi all We need assistance on a question on the I-134 form Lorry is filling these out now so I can take them back with me after my Christmas visit and have them ready for my interview She's unsure about a couple questions and how to answer Do You have other personal property, The reasonalble value which is ? She lives in an Apt Do they mean all her personal belongings like furniture ect. She has no realestate as being an Apt dweller. Canada	Interview in the morning few questions	Hi Mercy Thanks for posting the list of basically what they'll be wanting I was wondering about what they would be aking for at that time One question for anybody that has already gotten to the interview stage Is it a requirement to fill any of those DS 156 forms out online and also take a printed copy with you to the interview I thought I read somewhere awhile back they required a version to be filled online for thier records along with printed ones you take for the interview I know I have awhile yet to go but I like knowing what to expect ahead of time I wish Lorry and I had found this site when we first started our application. Canada	Christmas Visit	Besides, everytime I did vist him in the past before we sent the K-1 I was always saying to the officer that Im visiting my friend and his family. They were asking me if it was a man, if I work in Canada and thats about it. Never had problems. So I really doubt they have added the K-1 information based on my passeport number since I just sent it back to Mtl embassy. And I doubt that customs and immigration contact each other for every case submitted. So if they scan my passeport and say nothing about a K-1, ill just stick to my "very light information" story. As everybody say saying too much is not better sometimes. IF they do ask me if I have a relationship and if i intend to live there, Ill say everything, yes and yes upon the receiving of my visa. Just be true. Anyways, isnt the USCIS asking for proof of ongoing relationship ?? That is funny, yes keep prooving to us you are together, but you cant go visit him...whatever..... Mephys That is what I was thinking too How will they know we have a K-1 Visa Application in Would they have me in thier search system already with just the application on going since Sept. I have never had problems before going through Customs the usual questions and stern faces never a smile on my 2 previous trips, not yet anyhow lol lol I suppose that is true not to volunteer more than they ask The main thing is being truthful with them rather than risk being not let in. Canada	Christmas Visit	I just took the chance today. We bought my airplane tickets for December 24th as its the only way to see each other. Im waiting for my packet 4, so Ill bring the packet 3 letter , my medical bill, police certificate, etc to show how deep we are in the process, and got letter from my employer, car lease and of course return ticket even if its not that big of a deal. Its gonna be the first time that I try. But for me its worthed to waste that money to have the chance to spend the holidays with my fiance and his family (they keep asking why i cant be there). The worst thing that can happen is that my holidays are gonna look like they should have in the first place if I'm denied... My POE is gonna be Montreal airport. /crosses fingers Mephys I'm taking that chance too I have my flight tickets bought for sometime now I'll be leaving Nova Scotia on the 26 th for Washington State I don't have any of the USCIS paperwork to bring but will have my Mortgage agreement an Employer letter, some bill statements, Bank statements and return ticket I hope that will be enough to show ties to Canada still I feel the same way as you The chance to be with Lorry during the Holidays far outweighs the chance of money loss My POE will be Toronto I wish you luck and do hope we both make it through to be with our Loved one Good Luck Allie	Allie	Not Telling	Canada	2006-12-10 15:13:00

Ties include lease agreement, bills, return airfare, thats not a big one as most know its cheaper to buy tickets that way. Canada	What does a Canadian send to the NVC with DS 230?	One only requires fingerprinting if they have ever had a criminal record. NO criminal record, NO fingerprinting. The police check is good for 1 year. Ensure it states on it that it was done CANADA wide and not just in that city. Not sure about the DR thing. Some DR's requie the letter from trhe pkg stating you need the medical, some do not. I'm sure others will pipe up with info on that. Canada	POE Dorval-Trudeau airport	I live in Montreal and go through Dorval everytime I fly to Chicago. Definitely a pre-clearance there. Dunno about the K-1 though. If it's anything like other PFI's, K-1s/K-3s/etc can clear it no problem. On a semi-unrelated note, I'll be going through the PFI at Halifax this Christmas, will be curious how it goes.
