Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionRequest For Evidence - I-751

Is this letter good enough to please the officer?

Dear USCIS examiner:

Enclosed is some of the evidence you requested. Not all the information you requested applies to my wife and I. We are all happily living together debt free and request that this petition be accepted for removal of conditions on the residence of my wife. We are currently living with my parents so we don’t pay rent, utility bills or have a house mortgage. We have no loans or insurance policies. Medical treatment is cheaper in Mexico so that’s why we have no medical insurance. My wife doesn’t know how to drive so that’s why there’s no joint car insurance. A Birth Certificate for a child is not available because there are no children. Basically, we are just living a peaceful, simple live.

Enclosed also please find the following documents to verify the status of our marriage and ongoing relationship:

• A notarize letter from my parents saying we live at this current address
• Copy of the tax statement for 2006 showing she filed as a married person
• Library card
• State ID
• Letter form the Bank showing joint ownership
• Arizona State Retirement showing me as the beneficiary.

You may feel free to inquire at any of the sources of enclosed documentation for validity of their statements, and you are always welcome to visit our home should you ever desire to do so. Please advise me if you have any further questions or problems related to this petition.

Sincerely,

US citizen spouse

this is all well and good, but if that's all the evidence you plan to submit, you're in trouble. A letter isn't going to satisfy them. You have received a lot of great ideas for evidence in this thread and I hope you take them into consideration.

CanadaMedical (weight issues)
You had to get a medical for AOS. Wonder when they started that.

I dont know if the medical for the K1 is the same as the one for the AOS, I assume it must be?

It wasnt bad! Mainly, the doctor asked me a list of questions, and did a really quick physical exam followed by 6 shots (because my mom couldnt find my vaccination records, and even if she did, they'd be in French and I couldnt be bothered with the translation, you probably wont have as many or any, other who did the K1 from Canada can chip in). The only unpleasant thing was the tuberculosis skin test, stung a bit but it was over in seconds.

So all in all, it was fairly easy, so dont worry too much, next thing you know it'll be over :luv:

So, was I the only one that called "Kraft Dinner", just that? Kraft Dinner? Or Krappy Dinner...K-D, cause when I said Kraft Dinner down here I was looked at like I had two heads....I guess it's called Mac n cheese.....

I still call it kraft dinner after 8 years of being here. lol They call it mac n cheese here in the south.

Try the Organic Heinz - it is close enough that you won't mind too much...although they recently changed the organic recipe too but I don't notice the change too much.

I gave up bringing some things back from when I travelled to Canada and Ketchup was one of them - I am still obcessed with Canaidan Miracle Whip and Canadian hellman's 1/2 Fat mayo - they just don;t taste right in America

I grew up eating Candian Miracle Whip. I don't like it here in the US at all.

I have looked at the Candianfavorite website. They don't really have much on there. I looked at Ebay and Amazon as well. I want some Catelli Sauce and BBQ ruffles and Brown Oatmeal Bread. Weird I know..haha I can not find them anywhere.  They have a world market here but they don't really carry anything Canadian in it. Well Labatt's Blue beer but I find it to strong to drink. Used to be my favorite beer at home. Well thanks for all the input. I will keep on looking good.gif

Wondering if my fellow Canadians would share with me the best online websites they found for ordering Canadian products. I have been searching and am wondering what are your favorite sites. I am living in the USA and am trying to order favorites things that can be delivered here.

Thanks

The office I had to go thru (Pictou County, Nova Scotia )would not reconize my K-1 and I-94 for EI once I was in the USA.

They told me I could not file unless I had the EAD card, which I did not have.

Needless to say they denied my appeal and had to pay back money I received after I quit my job in May/05. My ROE said moving to the USA. I drew EI from May 2 until I moved on May 25/05 and they told me I was not entitled to draw it because I quit my job.

They are full of chit.

It looks like I am the only one that was denied my UI when I moved from Canada. I even appealed it and she still denied it. I already had my claim open when I moved here and she told me the 1-94 was not good for work permit.

Its hard for me to believe that she has the right to tell me when I should leave Canada to get married. I left my job on May 2 and drew my check till I moved on May 24 and I had to pay that back because she told me I should have stayed at my job until closer to my August wedding.

I should have told the b$tch off. Oh well they can shove it where the sun dont shine. Worked and paid into the system for over 20 years and then cant draw what I paid into. They suck

They denied me becasue they said that I left work to early to move to the USA.

My interview was May 2, I moved May 24.

I didnt get married until Aug 12, so they said that I left my job to early and that I should not have moved until August. What the F&ck ever. They shouldnt be able to tell me when I can move.

We had Russian Chicken last night, along with rice and sauteed carrots (sauteed in butter, balsamic vinegar, honey, and ginger). I'd never had Russian Chicken...it's pretty good! Joel's mom called me with the recipe...seems she's made that a lot and her son wanted his wife to make it. biggrin.gif

Russian Chicken

1 bottle Russian Dressing
1 small jar peach preserves
1 envelope onion soup mix
Chicken parts...thighs, legs, breasts...whatever you have

Mix first three ingredients together. Place chicken in baking dish, pour dressing mix
over chicken. Bake @ 300 degrees for about 90 minutes. Yum!

My mom makes a version of that -- using Catalina dressing and cranberries. Your (erm, Joel's momma) version sounds very interesting!

Marinating chicken in catalina dressing was good, but you really have to wash it before grilling if you don't want orange chicken.....it looked like I was eating that fake crab meat on my salad! laughing.gif

I'm marinating chicken tenders in Catalina dressing -- just to be different! -- and then grilling on my GF grill. Then putting them on a nice salad. Yum!

Ive been looking for Panko bread crumbs forever..and finally found them.. breaded some chicken tenders and pan fried them..and made chicken sandwhiches with them last night..they were so crispy.. love Panko will never go back to regular crumbs..

us too! good.gif I had heard about them on the Food Network (especially during Iron Chef episodes) and on the day I needed bread crumbs, I noticed that my grocery stocked them so I thought I would try them. We will never go back! The brand I buy doesn't have any preservatives or extra junk in them, much better and crispier than regular ones for sure!

I made one of my hubby's faves -- marinated chicken dredged in panko bread crumbs and baked, and saffron rice, and corn

I made lots of chicken, so I am heating some up and slicing it on top of a salad -- nothing nearly as fancy and pretty as what I will now call THE Cobb Salad tongue.gif

So, I brought home some delightful things and we're going to have one of my favourite suppers! How does, fresh baked whole grain artisian bread sound...with various cheeses (including goat..my fav!), an assortment of italian salami, wheatberry fruit salad, hummus (this is my homemade stuff, not from Costco), an assortment of coloured mini peppers and tomatoes, leftover broccoli cauliflower salad, lentils and rice. Perhaps a nice bottle of wine and candles as well?

Mmmmmmmm sounds yummy to me!

I'm going to make a puff pastry spinach/feta/swiss cheese sandwich and I bought a container of Butternut Squash soup at Trader Joe's on the weekend. I've only ever had butternut squash soup once and it was SO good. I've thought about making it myself, but it slipped my mind, and then when I saw this, it reminded me of it. I'm going to go look for a recipe if this is good.

When I was home in April, we went to a special dinner honouring volunteers in Nova Scotia (my dad was one of the honourees - yay Dad!). The first course was this amazing squash soup in little ramekins, and the top of the ramekin was covered in puff pastry. It was seriously yummy -- the soup wasn't stringy (sometimes squash or pumpkin soup can be that way if it isn't pureed enough), it was perfectly seasoned (not too sweet), and the puff pastry kept it nice and piping hot. So good! good.gif One of these days I am going to make that for myself!

Tonight, if my husband gets home in time, I am going to gently persuade him ( whistling.gif ) to make me his famous quesadillas with some leftover ground beef.
