Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionVSC I-1751 Status List
QUOTE (vega1x1 @ Jun 23 2008, 10:06 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
wow names keep getting added in and no approvals for a month. at these speeds I ll be looking at filing N-400 before my I-751 approval which sucks cause you hang on for another year and a half for another case while one is pending!! mad.gif

Not true. we've had 4 from this list approved this month, plus a bunch of others that are at VSC but not on the list. Vermont is slow right now, no doubt about it, but we've had at least 3 or 4 approvals this week alone.

Dang mailed it off last week on the six. was whining that they wanted 600$ to show them that yes your happily still married and behaving yada. Now come here and find out have to wait a yr. wow then it will be past time to file for citizenship. Plan on traveling extensively this fall, including back home for 4 weeks. I guess dont have to worr about changing an appointment date. Maybe Nebraska and Des Moines will be as quick as 2 yrs ago. Jeesh. How much does this extension stamp cost. ????? Nice to see you all again. Not in these cricumstances AYE!!!

the stamp is free, not including the cost of gas you use to get to the office

Nebraska isn't in the mix anymore. It's a good thing.

WOW!! What good news and I only missed it by one week. Please forgive me for getting the wrong Monday! Best of luck and congratulations. I see Cassie and B-brudi falling quickly in line after your approval.

from your lips to VSC's ears! wink.gif

Only for Okie girls!!! Hope it happens soon. Sorry you had to drive such a long way for service. Will be in Canada in 4 weeks looking forward to cooler weather and some good fishing!

Well, the drive's not bad, if it's sunny weather! Zip along the toll highway, stereo blasting, not so bad! I just don't want to do it again in 6 months for another bloody stamp! tongue.gif

Hope the fishing's good! Where are you headed?

I am going to Rainy Lake border waters between Ft. Francis and International Falls. Great fishing, been going there for nearly 20 years now. And the weather, scenery, etc. incomparable. Will probably go to Canada to get a Canadian fishing license and remote entry border permit. Canadians only allow one fish a day, so will probably catch and release a bunch. Fishing to my way of thinking is better on the Canadian side, perhaps the low limit has something to do with it, and it is a 20 minute boat trip to get where I want to fish, so a bit off the beaten path.

Sounds good to me! Hope you have a fantastic time! smile.gif

My bet is on citizenship applications - trying to process as many of those as they can in order to get them onto the voter's registry for the November election.

Makes sense! smile.gif

And I forgot to add that I think the slow down at VSC is due to the fact that they and CSC are the only service centers processing I-751s now. So throw that into the mix and I think you have a good reason for the slow down. We were fortunate in that ours came perhaps before the wave of I-751s were forwarded from the various service centers. And I think that that what we see here as applicants is but a tiny fraction of the cases that VSC is doing.

Well, someone else ( I think it was James) mentioned H1Bs as well. Something is taking priority, because there's no movement in K-1s or spousal visas either.

Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion10-year Greencard production hitches
I had changed my address online in December for Removing Conditions. I have prirnted out the conformation that it was changed online for both myself and my sons card.

I also received a letter to my correct address from USCIS stating they had the correct address on file.....what a joke. I really hate calling that miss information line they are so stupid. I called 5 times one day and each person told me something different.

I guess they mailed my sons card on April 28th to our address we lived at A YEAR AGO. ####### is wrong with those people.

They mailed my card on May 6th to our address we lived at A YEAR AGO.

So I go to both post offices here and neither one has received those green cards returned to them. So I am thinking someone at my old address has our cards. I have gone to that house many times and the people that live there cant speak english. whistling.gif

So now I have to wait another 30 days to see if my cards are returned which I dont think they will be. I really think the three people living at my old house has my cards. Its been almost a month since they sent my sons, I am sure it would be back to USCIS by now. Same as for my card it dont take from May 6th to May 21st to return a card back to USCIS when sent to the wrong address.

So now my drivers lisense have expired and they will not renew then till I have my new card. Can this really get any worse. blink.gif

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionHAPPY: just received 10-yr. card in the mail today.
You have to file a I-90.

I just did because they sent my card to an address I lived at two years ago. They approved our GC in April and we still have not received our cards.

Good luck is all I can say when dealing with anyone to do with USCIS, whether in person or on the phone. They have no idea what they are doing when you go to an Info pass appointment. Waste of time.

They would not even stamp our passports because they say we owe bio fee's and we dont. I drove 2 hours just to talk to an idot who knew nothing.

I waited 11 months to get my approval from Vermont. I am still waiting for our 10 year Green Cards since April 16th. Sorry you have to call the misinformation line as they all suck there.

Good luck with the waiting.
