K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsMedical Results Pick Up Medisys Montreal
According to your timeline your aways from an interview so if you don't want to hang around take an express post envelope (so you can track it) and just have it mailed back to you. I am not sure if they allow someone else to pick it up. I know they didn't ask me for ID when I picked mine up, they just asked my name, took my money and handed it over. Make sure you get a completed copy of your DS-3025 for AOS later on. I never thought of it, but I should have asked them to fill in the vacc. section of the I-693 and sign it so that you'd already have it done for AOS. I don't know that they would do it, but its worth asking.

Hey I just noticed Halifax, welcome...I lived in the valley before moving to Wisconsin.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsWell, this is not good news.

Difficult news to receive the day before the interview.....I will say a prayer for you both that this turns out to be nothing more than a benign (harmless) cyst or something else of little significance. I work for a physician and we see things all the time like this; a good percentage of the time they end up being nothing to worry about. I will send positive thoughts your way for a good report.....

On a more "clerical" note, isn't something like this a good reason for folks to try to get their medical scheduled a few weeks ahead of the interview? I thought that in general you shouldn't try to schedule the medical the day before or the same day as the interview. (although I realize that the OP may have had extenuating circumstances for needing to do it this way....) Maybe this situation reminds that it is best to have it done and out of the way ahead of time so that no stressful "surprises" crop up......

However, the bottom line is that I truly hope things turn out ok for your fiancee'. Hang in there.

Being from Canada I think I can help you understand why alot wait till so close to their interview date. Travel. Canada is a big country and USCIS has decided that only 4 doctors (I think we're still at 4) in the entire country and do these medicals. One in BC, One in Ontario and Two in Montreal. The cost alone to travel and the time involved. Myself, I scheduled a week in Montreal so that I could have the medical on Monday and to give them time to get it completed and interview on Friday. It was a 14 hour drive one way, plus hotel and meals, the medical. I know alot of people say, "but you knew it was going to cost $$ getting into this" and yes I agree. But everyone wants to save where they can because who knows once you get to the US, get married, file AOS, etc if you will get a job right away. Ideally if it was closer it would be best to have the medical a few weeks out to address such issues as the OP has posted. To the OP get to the interview, ... your just waiting for medical results..and hopefully they will extend some time to get the medical in. I hope it all works out for you.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsWell, this is not good news.
I would definately still go to the interview if she can. It may end up that the visa is "held" pending receipt of medical. Good luck.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsNVC called me....WHAT??
If your getting that it is a non-working department of state # it probably just means that its an outbound only line, that doesn't accept inbound calls. Used for contacting applicants without worrying about return calls flooding into the offices. Just a thought.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsVaccinations
If you can't get your vaccination records your family doctor can do titer tests to check and see what you already have been immunized against. I had to do it. Read the guides above to help you along. I got as many of the vacc. as I needed so that I didn't have to pay for them down here. My family doctor gave them to me. I only ended up needing one, and I had an elective one that I paid for when I had my vacc supplement transcribed. Here is the link for the vacc requirements.

No, I wouldn't worry just yet. Its only been 3 weeks and factor in the holidays where alot of people take vacations, as well as the backlog they seem to be working through slowly. People are just getting book now that were approved late fall. Hopefully you will hear something soon.

Awwww that is the sweetest thing. =) wub.gif Well I've been productive during the holidays. I've started to plan our wedding! At least as much as we can before we can finalize our wedding date. wink.gif Also, I dreamed I got a touch on our case a few days ago lol. I think I've been spending too much time on VJ. I hope the NOA2 is around the corner in 3 weeks or less! I can dream, right?

Hey Karri I've got my fingers crossed for you...hopefully you'll hear soon. We were talking last night about wedding plans and checking things out on the internet. He wants the Vegas - DRIVE THRU wedding.! wacko.gif Oh well, it really doesn't matter to me, as long as I get to have my dress and he's in a tux, marrying him is what the most important thing is. He bought us a house just before we started the K-1 process, it needs some work and me being the interior decorator
......money on a wedding isn't what I see...I see a new kitchen...a new bathroom...new windows.....oh and a leather sofa set...a fireplace...and.. and..lol! Best of luck with the wedding planning.

Well my sweetie arrived December 24th at noon...he was suppose to be here on the 23rd but he made it and that's all that matters. United Airlines lost his luggage though...so we've been spending time on the phone trying to track it down, no luck yet. Good thing it was Christmas and there was presents under the tree for him! The clothing I got him is managing to hold him over...and I had bought him a new electric shaver for Ho HO! So, all in all....its not the worst that could happen. Although he's upset because he had things for me in his bag. I told him having him with me for Christmas meant more. Hope everyone is enjoying their holidays......2009 here we come!

ARRRGGGGHHH!! My sweetie was suppose to be here last night..he got caught at Chicago Ohare last night, the flight to Nova Scotia was cancelled. They rerouted him to Dulles, Washington, DC...where he is currently sitting and awaiting standby for Halifax since late last night. It's suppose to depart a little over an hour from now. Hopefully there will be a seat for him, otherwise he has to wait till Christmas morning. I WANT MY SWEETIE..and he's so close! Say a prayer guys maybe that will help us! Hope you all have a wonderful holiday season. Take care.

I really hope he makes it out as planned. I am happy for you to be able to spend Christmas with him.
I leave on the 26th to the Philippines. I get to meet up with Grace in Nagoya Japan before our last flight to Manilla. I cant wait to see her, but if I get a weather delay or cancellation, I am really going to be upset.
Good luck and Merry Christmas

I'm glad your getting to see your sweetie as well. About 10 minutes after I posted this he called and said that they have him on standby for a flight out of Washington to Nova Scotia, then seconds later they were paging him to board. Little over a two hour flight, and a two hour drive for me to get to the airport. We just got back here. My honey is here with me!!! He's exhausted and went right to bed, but that's ok....I have almost two weeks with him. Merry Christmas everyone. Safe travel to the Philippines for your as well. Take care. innocent.gif

Definately a double espresso for me - too much beer last night.

I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO bummed now mad.gif . I read your post in August and thought based on touch you previously got and the reply that you got approval. My Heart skipped a few beats. Now I see your reply that you havent yet. What a let down!! You need to hurry up! your a couple days befor me, so I was thinking you were going to lead the way for us.

Long story short - I'm just lurking here because I hang out in the August thread but I actually applied in September because of mailing issues and I was approved yesterday, that's me, Brian and Sarah. Anyway I thought it might give you some hope cause I think we're one of the first (if not THE first) September filers approved.

Good luck everyone, it's coming soon! biggrin.gif

Well Congratulations!!! Nice of you to stop by and let us know...we've had a few September Filers approved which is getting everyone in the September Waiting Room Excited. Good luck with the rest of your journey. Take care,

7 more sleeps and I pick my sweetie up at the Airport. He may not want to go back to Wisconsin, its -27 with the wind chill where he's at. We've been having a good winter so far. Snow twice, then rain to take it all away. We have bare ground and above seasonal temperatures. Christmas is almost here guys! Safe travel to all who are making it their honeys.

US too...I am so excited...and when I seen some August filers on Igor's List I actually celebrated....friends and I went out for dinner...I know they really have no idea why seeing August Filers approved is so exciting, but it was an excuse to have a few drinks around a Christmas tree for them. I got to celebrate with friends, even if we were celebrating different things! What a nice HOHO present. Hopefully we will start seeing September approvals mid January. Hey guys I got my Christmas decorating all done today. I will have to post some pictures over the next couple days.

We filed first week of September and I find the time has gone by rather quickly. Peter is coming to visit for Christmas and I find December flys by anyways. So come New Years we will have about 4 months of waiting gone by. At least I get to spend Christmas and New Years with my sweetie. I see my timeline bumped ahead on here anyways, but that's ok. The thought of driving to Montreal in January or February didn't impress me. I'd be much happier with April or May. I have to sell one of my properties and real estate doesn't move to good through the winter months. Moving in late spring or early summer suits me just fine. We September filers are such a quiet forum! I started checking the August filers to see if anyone's approved yet....its starting to get exciting now guys!! Its getting close.....

Ok, so I was just thinking...not that it will make any difference, but if I sent my I129f on August 29 and got my NOA1 on September 2, does that make me an August or a September filer? I think I will stick it out with you guys either way because if I join the August forum then I am going to get depressed when everybody else gets their approvals before me... cray5ol.gif

Time flies fast. Here we go.... December.... kicking.gif

Not fast enough! wacko.gif Waiting for this NOA2 is like waiting for Christmas to come when you're a little kid...only much worse! At least with Christmas you knew what day to look forward to, and you could count down the days on the calendar or by cutting the links on the chain. But alas, we must wait indefinitely until the USCIS gods decide to have mercy on us! 83 days and counting... whistling.gif (Although it will be much BETTER than Christmas when we finally get approval!! good.gif )

I am with you, not fast enough! But hey, an August filer got a NOA2 today, so it shouldnt be too much longer. Gives me hope for January. Maybe December if I get the lottery too. haha

I noticed that too!! Even though it was at Vermont....it still a ray of hope! innocent.gif

Mom and Dad, or sorry...Santa would wrap all the things in our sock....which was a skill cause we always got a big apple and a hugh orange, not an easy item to wrap!! But there would be all kinds of little things in there. I think I loved it so much cause because of all the excitement on unwrapping little presents. Santa filled 3 socks at our house growing up...now me just doing the one could put you in the poor house so I decided to make some things to put in it....a "love" coupon book....for one. Nothing like a coupon for a foot massage from your sweetie!

Hey fellow September filers......Christmas is coming quick! This will be the first Christmas together for me and my honey. We've both been living in our own places alone for so long and kinda set in the ways of "how" Christmas should be. So it should be interesting to see how things go. Just wondering...any one have any plans on what new Christmas traditions you plan on starting once your reunited with you sweeties permanently? I want to start the whole filling the sock thing again, ...it was my favorite part of Christmas morning. Something you can't do when you live alone. I miss that. So I made Peter a sock to hang on the fireplace! How bout you guys? unsure.gif
