PhilippinesGlobe Network troubles..
QUOTE (Chris and Rick @ Jan 6 2009, 05:35 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Hello I am globe user and im using this for 5 years eversince I dont have problem with this.only i can tell and i can advice you is try to check your barring call and try to cancel incoming barring calls...or try cancel all diverts,

Thanks for the advise. I don't use my Globe phone for making calls(I do get calls on it though), I just use it for recieving txt.. I'm refering to calling other people on the Globe network, for some reason, I've been getting alot of 'Can't connect your call' or "Call cannot go through", but I have no problem calling ppl on Smart network.. unsure.gif

Maybe its the other end that has their setting wrong.. I'll try to get them to check that.. I'm also thinking some of the provincial areas have sucky reception.. whistling.gif

Salamat n ingats!

PhilippinesGlobe Network troubles..
Just wanted to ask any of the locals if they are on Globe and haveing trouble getting and sending txt or incoming calls... I've been getting spotty(delayed or not getting them at all) txt messages and the lines that are receiving my txt can't seem to recieve my calls all the time... this seem to have started a day before New Years.. I experience this a while back during the storms.. so not sure what the deal could be now.. unsure.gif

I've been looking on Globe network and it seems their customer service line is spotty with trying to get a hold of someone.. so, I'm asking here to see if anyone else is having those problems that I have mentioned and maybe have better luck with contacting Globe customer service as I can't seem to get a hold of them.. blush.gif

Salamat for any info.. good.gif

PhilippinesSending Load To A Cell Phone In The Philippines
QUOTE (4MYMEVE @ Dec 25 2008, 10:54 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Pardon me, but I am very technology-challenged.

I loosely understand the sim cards and such, but here's what I THINK I am seeing. When I go to RP, I can buy a phone and use it back HERE in the USA to keep our calls and texts cheaper??? That sounds awesome, if I am understanding this correctly.

Right now, my angel texts within Phil for P2, but it's P15 to text ME here in the U.S. mad.gif

Correct, I bought a phone from Phils, 1/hr before you leave, you txt ROAM ON or somehting of that sort to the provider number depending if it's Globe or Smart. Now, they can continue to txt that Phone for 1-peso. I only use that phone to recieve txt, then I either text her back with my phone(I have an international txt plan with AT&T-100 txt for $9.99/month) or I txt her thru Yahoo Messenger(free for me). You SO would have to have a Yahoo account and she/he can add their Phone # to that account so txt messages from YM can get sent to them.

She even txt me back on YM and it only cost her 2.50-peso to txt my YM. I have a smart phone with unlimited data plan, so, I'm pretty much connected to YM 24/7.

Not sure how much it is for her to call me, but I'm the one that does the calling. Plus, I go thru Gorilla Mobile when calling Phils, they charge .9cents for landline or .15cents to cell phone.

QUOTE (Steve_Donna @ Feb 23 2008, 05:23 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Their customer service sucks. I kept reloading my phone and Donna's phone often and they would not send the load until I contacted them for "security and fraud reasons". I now us http://www.pldtonline.com . They may be a little more but their customer service is good.

Hmm.. I've never had a problem with them, although, they do have a monthly limit to how much you can send, which is good for security purpose. I've been using them for 6/months now and I've never had a problem with aryty.

I too have a dual-sim phone from Phils, I just turned Roaming on before I left Phils and she txt me on that and I either reply to her thur YM(which is free for me, she just has to register her phone thur YM) or my cell.. yes, 1-peso txt is great for her..

QUOTE (Dencio ? Mane @ Jan 14 2009, 11:24 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
still waitin 4 d letter from d embassy, NVC forwarded our application to USEM last dec 15.. and ryt now i havent received a letter from USEm...will i still wait for the letter from USEM before il make an appointment for my interview?or shall i go on without the medical exam and interview without that?tnx!

What letter are you exactly waiting for from the embassy? Are you talking about the packet they used to send out? If so, they do not send you a packet anymore, you have to download it yourself. This is the English version: http://manila.usemba...ov/wwwfk1en.pdf of the packet they used to send out. But if you want the Tagalog version go here and scroll down to the bottom of the page: http://manila.usemba...v/wwwh3238.html

The only letter you should be getting from the Embassy is after you make the interview appointment, they will send you a confirmation notice thru email and then mail you the hard copy.

If you have your NVC letter, you should have the MNL case # and you can call the Embassy to schedule an interview and then you can print the interview confirmation and bring that with you to take your medical exam. You can also go take your medical exam without the interview confirmation email/hardcopy, , just bring a copy of the NOA2 and the NVC letter to show that you have a MNL case #, but I've heard some people get treated ruff if they don't have the interview(my fiance was telling me this one lady was giving someone an attitude cus they didn't bring the interview confirmation letter..toinks!!), but none the less, they are allowed to take the exam.

Hope this helps you out some, you can also go to the Manila USEmbassy site and read more: http://manila.usemba...v/wwwh3023.html

9. Does your fiance have kids n who do they live with
10. Where does he work
11. Were you ever married

They asked for only 4 pictures, some chat logs, letters/cards. They CO told her that we looked good together and we were photogenic blush.gif ..lol.. she also gave the CO my phone bills for the calls..

They took my I-134, W2(2007/2006), 1-yr tax return(2007), employment letter.. they didn't ask for my paystubs..

They didn't asked for her NBI Clearance..

After the interview, the CO told her that she's going to work on her papers to enter the US and wait outside to be called for the next step. They called her and she paid 250p for the visa delivery and got the pink slip.. good.gif

My fiance got the same thing. After I scheduled the interview, she got 2 emails after I got off the phone confirming the interview. Then, 2 days before the interview, she got another email, from the same address that you posted telling her about her interview.

I kind of looked at it as a reminder email.. .. she went to her interview and passed, so you shouldn't worry if you got this email confirming your interview..

That is exactly what I was thinking.

Vida Taylor

Since he is paying child support, he is financially(Partially) responsible for them, doesn't matter if they live with their mother and not him. On the I-134, it has the section to list who you are financially responsible for and you have to mark down Wholly or Partially responsible.

QUOTE (jamesNrei @ Jan 15 2009, 09:20 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
the Manila consuls don't accept co-sponsor from K1 applicants.

you are in difficult situation, considering your fiance is deployed right now it will be hard for him to find another job to add up to his present income. The thing is, your fiance has to come up with another source of income so he can meet the the criteria.

Yep, that's how I read it. Manila USEmbassy website only mentions joint/co-sponor for the I-864, IR/F/E visa catergoires:

Form I-864 Affidavit of Support (AOS): The I-864 AOS is required for visa applicants in the IR, F and certain E visa categories complete with copies of your sponsor’s latest U.S. Federal income tax return (ITR) and wage statements (Form W-2s). Please note that your petitioner must provide an Affidavit of Support, even if they do not meet the income requirements and even if a joint sponsor’s Affidavit of Support will be providing all of the actual financial support.

There was no mention of co-sponsors being allowed for the I-134, SB-1, K1/K3.. :

Form I-134 Affidavit of Support: The I-134 Affidavit of Support is required for returning residents (SB-1), fiancé(e)s or spouses of U.S. citizens (K1, K3), children of K1 and K3 applicants, spouses and children of lawful permanent residents (LPRs), applicants with special immigrant status, and follow-to-join derivative family members of employment-based (E) applicants. A copy of the sponsor's most recent Federal income tax return (Form 1040) should accompany the I-134. Faxed copies of the ITR are acceptable.

But then agian, I've seen people say they were allowed co-sponsor, but not sure, as I probably didn't pay attention to the type of Visa they were applying for when I read their post.. blush.gif

This is a tuff situation you're in, and since the CO stated you needed to provide papers to support this requirement, I'm thinking they might of put a comment in there stating this and it would seem hard for another CO to overlook it.

As mentioned before, can your fiance submit 2008 salary that might satisfy their requirment??

Good Morning,
I only have 2 years income tax return (2006-2007), is 3 years income tax return required ?
thank you

Not anymore. But it helps if you can present historical income during the interview.

The annual income of my fiance does not match the income tax return.
in his affidavit of support it is 32K
then on his incme tax return : salaries and wages its 19, 746

Which income tax return is stating the $19,764.. 2007? If the affidavit of support is 32K, it could be he got a pretty good raise in 2008 and this is what he is currently making now, that's why it is different from the tax return. People usually get raises so the previous years tax return wages will be different from the current year..

Ingats!

Some people never learn . . sighhhhh.

good.gif , i was waiting when this thread will be closed. threads like this is one of the reason i don't frequent philippine forum as much as i used to. yes we could all chose to read what we want to read but still presence of threads like this is just disturbing... it trashes american women and at the same time casting a bad light on filipina women, and being a filipina who DON'T believe that filipinas are better than their american counterpart (the difference is between individual persons NOT nationality because there are as many trashy filipinas as there are trashy american women, and there are as many good american women as there are good filipina women), threads like this is just so sad, especially with titles shouting out. sad.gif

I agree, and why does it seem that the other half(non-Filipino/a) of the relationship feel like they have to bring these issues up for discussion like it's going to solve the stereo-type of Pinoy/Pinays when all it will do is stir it up? And in the end, it's the Pinoy/Pinay that has to try to defend themselve on a topic a non-Filipino started? blink.gif Opening this kind of topics on the web for everyone to voice their opinion is not going to solve anything, it will not cause things to 'settle', it will just keep the pot stirring.. to each his/her own I guess, but I don't see topics like this clearing anything up... we don't need a non-Filipino trying to come in and 'save' us from stereo-types..

The Phillipines have the most beautiful women in the world and not only are they the most beautiful they are very abundant so much so that lots of old ugly guys like me end up being married to them. Supply and demand ... to many beautiful woman to few handsome men so us ugly guys get more than our share kicking.gif

All comes down to supply and demand..nothing to do with submissiveness or anything else innocent.gif

That's so true about the abundant amount of beautiful woman over there.

I am considered very handsome, And when I go to PI it like I am a kid in a candy store.
