Just researched a bit about your question and this is my take (stands corrected of course): Since you filed an I-129f petition, you would file the I-134. Those don't allow for joint sponsors, so if your dad were to file an I-134 on your behalf instead as a joint or cosponsor, it would be up to the interviewing officer to decide whether or not to accept it, but considering it's your dad, s/he probably would. But I'm leaning towards the CO would not.(Embassy link is not clear either) As I have read here before, some consulates accept cosponsors for I-134s and others don't. My suggestion would be for you to read thoroughly from the American Embassy's website to find out if they accept cosponsors of I-134 relating to fiance(e) visas. Also try searching your qusetion in the 'search' bar up this page and read about similar topics. In addition, you could post this question or have a mod move it to the Egypt/region's subforum and see if you can get other answers/specific experiences. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	JULY FILER RFE	I had a simple RFE and from the time I sent it to approval was about 2 weeks. OP, I agree it depends on the kind of RFE(2 to 4weeks). Years ago, I helped a friend put together an answer to a RFE and it took exactly 21days for approval. If you have an identical copy of the petition packet you sent in, you can look over it and compare to the checklist. 90% of the time, you would have an idea of what's missing. Or a quick Google search of the member representing North Hollywood might bring up some hits. Then you can go onto the Senator's or the House member's website and take it from there. Usually, the Senator/House member has a staff on his or her team assigned to dealing with constituents' inquiries. Better yet, use the search function on this site. There a bunch of folks here that I am sure I will break down in tears of joy when they get their approvals. I can literally feel the frustration of each July, August, September and now October filer here. This empathy just makes my wait harder.... But I wouldn't have it any other way. Being here on these forums, sharing the frustration. Hashing out ideas of what we might be able to do, has really helped keep me sane. That is very true my friend!
