K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Initial review	I just checked on the USCIS my case status (for the first time in months as it was originally not working) and it says that in late October our Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Is this normal? What does this mean? Should I have received something in the mail? It now says initial review. How long does the initial review normally last? Yes, it seems a lot of people are getting this lately. It means an A-# has been generated & assigned to the alien fiance/e while USCIS works on your petition. The wait period is about 4-6months. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	K1 NOA2 APPROVED, VSC AUGUST FILER!	God is good and Jesus Rocks. A few minutes ago I just checked my case status online on the USCIS website and it states: Post Decision Activity On January 31, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283. My fiance has to call and confirm from USCIS, 29TH Aug 2012 is my NOA1 date, been waiting exactly 5months and two days. Should i start doing the twist Anyone, who knows what's the next step after this? I pray that y'all July/Aug Filers get a speedy approval! Be Blessed ConGraTuLaTions! What to send to your fiance(e) once the I-129F is approved (Receive NOA2): 1.A copy of the entire I-129f package (that you made when you sent the petition in) and a copy of information that you sent back due to an RFE (if you received one). 2.Send all originals of the documentary proof that you submitted for the I-129F to your fiance(e) for their interview at the embassy. 3.Send an original letter affirming your desire to marry your fiance(e) and your continued support of the K-1 Visa. Sign and date the form. This will be similar to the letter you provided with the I-129F, but dated much closer to the interview (it will have most likely been several months since you submitted your I-129F). 4.I-134 Affidavit of Support form. Ensure it is signed, with all required supporting evidence. Begin collecting the required information ahead of time, as it can often take several weeks to collect it all. 5.You will likely need at a minimum (for the above form) two to three of your most recent pay stubs and a signed letter from your employer listing you job title, start date, your salary, and the status (full-time) of your position. Begin collecting these ASAP after your NOA2 arrives. You will also probably want to include other evidence such as your banking information and other assets as required by the I-134. Specifically you will need at least 2 of the 4 options mentioned in Section II-Supporting Evidence of the I-134. See this FAQ for more tips and ueful information on the Affidavit of Support Form. 6.A copy of the NOA2 that you received in the mail. 7.Proof of your ongoing relationship. This needs to be taken to the interview! Include photos, travel documents, emails, etc from between the time you filed and present (NOA1 date-now). Examples: Copies of land line and cell phone bills, appropriate emails and letters you have sent including the stamps on envelopes (to document the date they were sent), and other written documentary proof. Provide a reasonable amount; two to four of each type. Pick a range of dates up to and including the present. You can also include a copy of engagement ring receipt (this is something that is a big optional - do not worry if you do not have a ring yet!) How amazing it was! 8 fiance filed I-129f last December 1st week and NOA1 rcvd Dec.12,2012 got RFE Dec.27,2012 replied January 1st week USCIS rcvd the RFE from fiance January 16,2013 and JANUARY 28,2013 upon checking the status it was APPROVED..beyond our expectations thought it will take awhile but GOD is GREAT!and so with the USCIS...such a blessing! The recommendation is to call NVC at this number 1 (603) 334-0700 to find out if they've received your case. But it takes about 2weeks for NVC to receive your case from uscis. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	i129f routed to VSC - Questions	Hello there. I was very excited to see that my check has been cashed, and that I got an e-mail stating that my packet has been routed to VSC. This, however, brought up questions. Does this mean that I sent everything that was necessary (aside from any need for RFEs) and that all the forms were correctly filled out? I became worried when I read about someone who only sent in the i129f form and a check and it was routed to VSC (with check cashed), only to find that it (of course) got rejected. It's exciting to know that my packet is being routed to VSC, but it is also worrying that I might easily just get everything sent back to me. I feel confident that I sent in everything necessary and that all the forms were filled out -- but that doesn't mean it is so. I'm just worried, as I'm sure everyone else is who goes through this process. I appreciate any advice. I think you're putting undue stress on yourself by unnecessarily worrying about something you have no control over at this point. If you're "confident" you sent everything in as you say, then no need to fret. Brooding and fretting over an already sent petition would only exacerbate your stress level and it's not good for your heart. If you want to clear your mind you absolutely did every right, you can look over the checklist in the guide link below to compare with what you sent in. You getting a NOA1 means acceptance by USCIS(meaning you correctly signed the form, paid the correct fee and did the right things that met uscis' standard of acceptance). After this, your waiting period begins until it's time for your case to be adjudicated on. If all the evidence you presented supports the benefit sought, your case gets approved. We received our NOA1 on July 23 and I just called USCIS this morning and Samantha (The Representative) gave us (My fiance was on the cam listening) the good news. I just called USCIS to ask them about their progress, and was told by a Tier 2 that they were processing JULY 2nd, which is NOT when I applied! I am an August 6th filer through VSC, and while on the phone, I received a text notification & email! Once I hung up with the USCIS officer, I logged on to check my case status, and BOOM! Approved on February 19, 2013!!! 197 days!!! So strange! Overjoyed, nonetheless! I hope everyone else is one step closer to receiving their NOA2s! Wow congratulations! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Exactly after 6 months, got our NOA2	Yes yes yes, we got our NOA2 today. The best ever news I received this morning from my fiancee. It's 9.05 am here in New Zealand and I was asleep after a hard day's work yesterday following college. My fiancee rang me simply said "We got our NOA2, but I am driving, I cant talk to you right now", lol. Anyway I would like to thank the VJ family here for their consistent support and encouragement. My VJ timeline actually said my case would be adjudicated between February 25th to March 5, 2013. So, my case was approved 3 days ahead of the timeline. I just feel so happy. I was worried about so many things. I opened a thread about---if we were going to receive an RFE, coz I forgot to write our names, location and dates on the back of photographs etc, but the learned members here assured me that its not an issue at all. Thank you so much guys and gals for the reassurance you have given me. I feel so sleepy after last night's work but cant sleep now at all, ,lol. I wish all the very best to those who are waiting especially the 200 group. I really hope they get their NOA2's very soon, I am an August filer from VSC and I am sure they are really doing some work there. I know there's still some paperwork to do afterwards, but for the moment I am happy to announce that my Fiancee's K1 visa was approved this morning. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	K-1 Petition	Am getting concerned about my K1-petition,my fiancee filed in late december and she only recieve a confirmation or somethng from the office of payment,i dont know exactly what was it but she told me a reciept.Will anyone tell me how long will it takes for us to recieve notification of processing or something,am new in this site which really help so many folks as have read through.I will highly appreciate if i could recieved help on how this K-1 PETTION WORKS.. Don't be too concerned this early in the petition. You have some waiting time to do (average of 6 to 8months). Your fiancee should have received the NOA1 (hard copy receipt) in the mail by now. If not, uscis must have cashed the check and she can find the receipt # at the back of that check. After she gets the case receipt #, she or you can register on the uscis.gov website for your case status updates. If she doesn't have the receipt # then ask her to call uscis' toll free # and ask to speak to tier2 ISO. They will ask for some personal info and hope she can get the receipt # that way. You both can go to the top of this page and read the "GUIDES" to learn about the next steps in the process and what documents you both should be getting ready. Good luck! Today after 218 days of nail biting, pain, and suffereing we just received a test message with the notification.
