K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsVermont July Filers!

You must be super excited to see your other half!! I get to see mine in 5 weeks 5 days!!!

So who's going to share a recipe first??? Lol!

5 weeks/5 days!! Not too long! :) You must be sooooo excited! At least you have a short-term goal to look forward to! :) Knowing he was coming here this week made the last 2 months go by a lot faster. After this though......

How about my SUPER SPECIAL recipe for Pizza??

Step 1: Call pizza place
Step 2: Place order
Step 3: Log onto Skype and wait for delivery

I can actually share some if anyone wants to circulate some...my grandparents were from Italy, so I have some pretty good stuff I can post! :)

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsVermont July Filers!

I'll join this party. Received NOA1 on July 12, 2012 and 'patiently' waiting but the extended processing times at VSC are making me anxious and I can relate to everyone's frustration. I'm lucky enough to see my fiancé by visiting him every 1-2 months for a few days but it is costly and we just want to start our life together.

Welcome to the party!!

That is so wonderful that you get to see each other so often!

It's been about 4 months apart for us now...but! ...he will be here TOMORROW!

I think the t-shirt and car sticker are great ideas. I wonder if any famous people have applied for the K-1 or CR1 through VSC such as
Gwyneth Paltrow etc, and how long they had to wait? Good idea for a magazine article maybe?

Do you think that would even go through a center? I wonder.....

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsVermont July Filers!

I live just outside Glasgow.

I know what you mean. I'm happy that CSC July filers are getting approved but its really hard to see it when we know we've still got a long way to go.

I think we could create a book "101 things to do while waiting on NOA2" it would be a best seller on here!!!

That is a great idea!!! It could be something like Chapter 1 :Watch Paint Dry - It's faster!

Look at my timeline and dont hold your breath... Have no idea how July filers are getting done before me! Lol

Wow!! That is crazy... I'm NOT going to say "hang in there" or "be patient it will come when you least expect it"...but I would suggest a strong drink ...and of course, hang out with us!! We're gonna share recipes, knit together, drink and play "I never" hahahah Anything to pass the time!!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsVermont July Filers!

I agree I know I have only been waiting 3 months and still have a few more to go ... Just patiently waiting....

Welcome!!! We can all wait together!

Yeah I'm in Scotland and my fiancé is in Arkansas.

Haha! They should definitely give us something. Maybe at the end of this we need to get tshirts printed with "I survived VSC!" on them

Tshirts AND bumper stickers!!! LOL Ah Scotland...I used to have a friend in Glasgow. Have never been, but would love to see it!

It was getting really hard hearing people talk about how difficult the 3 month CSC wait is when we most likely won't even be touched until 2013! Not that begrudge them their fabulous timelines. :) I just think it will be easier, perhaps..on the VSC people if we have a space to chat together and not feel SO terribly left behind! :)

Excellent idea!! More than happy to join you and see if we can make this wait a little more bearable!!

Wonderful!!!

I see you are UK as well! :)

VSC should really supply us with "pass the time" game ideas!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsVermont July Filers!
Hello All!

I thought it might be a good idea to start a separate thread for those of us who have their cases collecting dust at good old VSC. While I am tremendously pleased to see so many CSC people getting approved  knowing we still have MONTHS  to go made it hard to see every single day. :(

So....here is a space for us to wait it out together...talk about life, love, share recipes lol...WHATEVER we can do to keep our minds off of the months ahead!

I hope you will join me!! :)

Here's to VSC getting a serious move on things!!

All of our best, Denise & Andrew

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsAny July Filers have their Noa2 Yet

im july 23 filer from vsc. my fiancee call USCIS this morning. and they said that our paper is on the line were they will adjucate. cos TIER 2 trace our paper. we want to HAVE a service request but the tier 2 said, no need because its on the line now. so soon we will get the noa2. maybe we need to wait patiently. MAYBE ALL THE july filers shude wait patiently. our time will come soon. goodluck to all of us

You're soon!!! Your VJ timeline states

Processing
Estimates/Stats : Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between January 22, 2013 and January 30, 2013*.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsWhat is going on with the Vermont Service Center?
The entire process is exactly what you make it.....you have bad days and good days. TRY to have more good days! I would love to tell you that I didn't worry or freak out one or two days BUT the timeline is an estimate and the wait is just that, a wait. I found it REALLY comforting to read interviews with former USCIS adjudicators (just search for them they are on the forum). It gives you an idea of how the process can be X amount of days for one person and Y amount of days for another even if they have the exact same NOA1 date.

I actually took up embroidery and feng shui during the wait. hahaha :D

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsWhat is going on with the Vermont Service Center?

Will someone please send me a word of encouragement about the Vermont Service Center experience they've *recently* had? We only got our NOA1 in late November, and based on the USCIS trendline, VSC is 18 months PAST their 5-month national goal to process the paperwork! That's horrible! Our lives are on hold in so many ways during this time, and I just can't wrap my mind around how VSC went from being the fastest to the slowest processing center!

Does anyone have anything encouraging to offer? Insights into why this happened or if /when it might turn around for the VSC processing times?

Thanks!

Besides....chin up ...your timeline says "Based on timeline data, your I130 may be adjudicated between January 28, 2013 and February 6, 2013*."

Not much longer now!!! I wouldn't even think about worrying unil after that window has completely passed you by. I am sure you will hear something beforehand :)

Don't feel disheatened already. We had an NOA1 date of 7/3 and got ours on 12/27. Two days earlier than our estimated window even started. What made things easier for us was to just keep the estimated date of adjudication on our VJ timeline in mind. Yes it shifted nearly every other day due to approvals or lack thereof...but to know we could expect it around 12/29-1/5 was just a way to keep our focus and not freak out while waiting.

Hang in there and don't let other people's nightmares upset you. If you research you will find longer timelines are often relating to the beneficiary's country, further background checks needed etc. For the bulk of us..the kind of 'average joe types' the timelines are quite spot on. :)

Nah man i havent heard of anything yet. No approval, no RFE, No denial. just havent heard anything as of today.

Hello! Our NOA1 date was early July as well. Our NOA2 was 12/27.

Your estimated date of adjudication per VJ is "Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between January 7, 2013 and January 14, 2013*." ...so you are kind of out of the window. You can call...I don't wish to discourage you...I just have not seen anyone getting anywhere with their calls. Give it a try though..can't hurt!

Best of luck!!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsJuly Filers!!!!

Our NOA1 is 07/18/12 and I have been a wreck for DAYS!!
I'm trying to be calm and patient but it's not going so well...
I check USCIS like 5x/day. LOL

Hey! According to your VJ timeline "Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between January 16, 2013 and January 24, 2013*." ...shouldn't be much longer! Best of luck!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsJuly Filers!!!!

if that adjudication date is within the first day after the 5 month and the 7th as you say, then i already passed that point. I'm not sure if I should make a service request a soon as i get back to land or not. (I'm enlisted in the coast guard and i'm currenlty at sea on a patrol)

This was taken from YOUR timeleine:

Processing
Estimates/Stats :

Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between January 2, 2013 and January 9, 2013*.

If this date range has passed or your application is past due per USCIS processing times then you should consider calling the USCIS to inquire on your petition. If you have been approved please update your timeline.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsJuly Filers!!!!

We're on CSC ,they said it takes 5 months. 5 Months (according to them) will be on January 8 so when that happens we will do a service request (if we hear nothing). (I'm more terrified about the interview and not so much about the noa2 though lol)

I know a few people who went through the interview and said it was easy as pie. Apparently there are two interviews they go with ...one if you are suspicious and another (very fast and simple one) if you aren't. That said, it differs from embassy to embassy so...by all means talk to people who have been interviewed at yours. Also, if you haven't done so already you can research your embassy on here :)

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsJuly Filers!!!!

My fiance will call in 3 hours!

He will ask kindly if they is any problems or whatever because in the website (from USCIS) says CSC takes 5 months to process the I-129F Petition. So..

I took at look at CSC estimated processing ...it seems it is at 5 months...so that means you should hear something any day now!! Yay!! Keep us posted and best of luck!!!!
DnA7Not TellingEngland2013-01-04 15:08:00
K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsJuly Filers!!!!

We called USCIS today. Our NOA1 date was July 23 but we were told our 5th month is 23rd of January 2013. I told the tier2 that our 5th month was up on Dec 23,2012 and she stated that CSC is processing July 16th. I called several times last Dec. and they told me the same thing. So, it's like they are processing July 16th petitions for almost a month?
I asked her if we can submit a service request and she said she could not do that. Our NOA2 would not be considered past due until CSC is processing July 23 or later and we still don't get any updates.
This is getting a frustrating since I called them last Dec 28 and I was told to give it 5-10 more days. Anyone who has called recently and got the same info? We all have been really patient but it would make us all feel better if we can at least get straight answers and would know what is really going on. CSC used to be the fastest center but these past months, they became really slow with processing.
:help: :bonk: :help:

Wow now these people cannot count haha! you are the second person I have seen without an estimated date of adjudication on your timeline. I don't know if it differs based on country  My fiance is from England. That said, your estimated window should start at about 5 months 3 weeks after your NOA1...so you should be HOPEFULLY hearing something in the next couple of weeks! Hang in there  it should be soon.
DnA7Not TellingEngland2013-01-04 15:05:00
K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsJuly Filers!!!!

Thats is exactly what they told my fiance. We got our NOA on August 8 and on January 8 its 6 months. Lol.... They can't count or? :P

They told him August to September is one month so they start counting from September. As weird as it is, it's a fact so a little bit more patience !!!

t
Yea...you're at 5 months!! YAY\...nearly there if you're VSC! Maybe you want to check out my signature and do one of those counters?...they are really helpful!! ...well until you get annoyed seeing the time pass...hahaha ...but mostly they are really helpful!!

My timeline says : There are not enough recent approvals in the timeline system to accurately approximate when your I-129f will be approved. Please see the Timeline Stats page to see recent approvals.

lol

Wow I have never seen that before!!!! I would find out what the average is for CSC and then figure our a guess-timite window from there. For example, VSC is working at about 5 months 3 weeks ...so if you were with VSC I would say add 5 months 3 weeks to your NOA1 date and make that "DATE A" then add a week to that date making "DATE B"...thus having your estimated date of adjudication window being DATE A to DATE B. Make sense?
DnA7Not TellingEngland2013-01-04 14:57:00
K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsJuly Filers!!!!
Ok everyone who is waiting and worrying...you NEED to look at your ESTIMATED DATE OF ADJUDICATION...that is, go to you VJ TIMELINE and then scroll down to see your estimated date of ajudication. It should be a window of a week or two. Ours, as with most others, was approved right within that timeframe. IMHO I would not bother worrying or calling until that window has passed. Ours came in 5 months 3 weeks from Vermont...perfectly within the estimated timing. I did not call...I did not freak out (much)...I took up embroidery.

As to why some people within a day or so from you get theirs earlier (I cannot guess as to how that one person got theirs in October unless a fluke or expedited for some reason)...as I was saying...There are posts on here from ex-employees that detail the internal process. Our petitions essentially collect dust until they are assigned to a processor who then allows it to sit around until they can get to it. They do this in chronological order FOR THAT PROCESSOR. So, if your petition goes to someone who is faster...then you may get yours a week or two before another who has similar NOA2 date..luck of the draw so-to-speak.

As for people who are waiting who submitted after July...it is a nearly SIX MONTH wait for VSC. Take up knitting or painting :D it sucks..but there is really no need to WORRY.

hi did you call the uscis bout your visa. or you just wait that you get the result and get the NOA2? IM JUST WONDERING. if we need to call or just wait

We quietly and (somewhat) patiently waited. We didn't even bother calling, as according to our VJ timeline...our estimated date of adjudication wasn't under the 29th. We figured when that window passed we would look into contacting USCIS. Personally, I would say if you are still within the estimated VJ adjudication timeframe, just wait. (IMHO of course :innocent: )

Best of luck to you ALL!

Hello All!

We mailed our package in June...but our NOA1 is dated july...so that makes us july filers! We've been watching the posts and while we are so very happy for the CSC folks getting their approvals, we are saddened to see stark difference in processing times with our center: VSC.

It does seem that according to the processing chart on Igor's page, the VSC really kicks it into gear over Oct, Nov, Dec if I recall... so here's hoping they get it moving! Maybe we should send them some Red Bull? ;) jk

Wishing you all a fast and easy journey! Andrew & Denise

We are in the process of completing the I-129F and Denise will be using her passport as proof of her US citizenship. On the form it asks for the birth certificate number which we don't have as it is lost at the moment, hence using the passport. Does anyone know if the number is needed on the form or not? Any help would be great.... Thanks Andrew
