Just don't let me get my hands on someone who is here illegally. Although Javier has come illegally, he is now doing it the proper way and that makes a huge difference. Makes him ok by me

I too drive fast. it's illegal. never been stopped for speeding though. police always see me speeding but i'm not going fast enough for them to bother. am i therefore a criminal for doing something illegal or not a criminal because they don't want to bother with 10 KM/H over the speed limit?

Then it would be the determining factor of whether or not you are caught that makes you a criminal. I think the difference between a criminal and doing something illegal is a matter of intent, also how you are afterwards and if you do it again...

Well I don't intend on driving dangerously or causing harm to anyone or their property.

I doubt she knew when she posted all that, that you never know who could possibly be reading this. Certainly never good to air illegal intentions in public, period.

I don't want to get into it, but they're really not the reason the process takes so long. By not getting a visa, they're actually freeing up a place in line. I think we should all remember who really makes this process long-the terrorists and those who commit visa fraud. Not the ones who just hop over. And although I agree with some of what you said, that statement about the criminal mind was a bit hurtful. I certainly don't regard my fiance as a criminal, because he's not. He simply broke the law once, which I do every single day by speeding, etc.

point taken. my apologies.

Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)RE: Muy Solo
for someone to go "ah screw it we'll do it illegally" is degrading to those of us who are doing it legally. They are the reason why this f'ing process takes so freaking long. Just deciding to immigrate here without a visa is illegal, which makes them criminals. Who knows how criminal minds work. Never thinking of what problems could lie ahead.

Do you see any difference between the forms other than the date?

I have two copies of the DS-156, one dated 9-2004 and one dated 2-2003
I can't remember which one Montreal sent me, but I THINK it's the 2-2003 version. Anyone know which one it should be?
I'm thinking maybe of filling out both of them then asking them which one they want, when I get there

Canadawhat to tell canadian customs

Tips for Parents and Guardians
Always carry proper identification for yourself and the child(ren), such as: birth cetificate; citizenship card; passport; baptismal certificate; Record of Landing (IMM1000) or Registered Indian Card.

If you have the legal custody of the child(ren), have copies of relevant documents such as: custody rights.

She had all of that and they still gave her ###### for not having a letter from the parent who does not have primary custody. I do understand their concern in the matter however she did have the legal right to leave the country with her daughter and had the relevant documents supporting it.

CanadaDelta to start Calgary-Atlanta service in June
Detroit was the best airport for me. Still my favourite airport besides Halifax :D
The secret to having a positive experience is to give yourself more time than you need for connecting or making your flight. If you only give yourself 30 minutes to connect, don't ###### about missing your flight. I usually give myself at LEAST two hours. It also helps a lot if you like to do some plane spotting :)
Also helps to find a place where I can go have a smoke and a bite to eat although airport food is horribly overpriced.

(3) Will "out and about" still be pronounced "oot and aboot"?

this particular stereotype bugs the ####### out of me, since no one in my family, friends, community at home, etc etc etc pronounces it "oot" and "aboot". I'm waiting to hear a Canadian pronounce those words that way on a regular basis.

Yeah that bugs me too. I have never heard anyone outside of South Park pronounce it that way. I have no idea where it comes from.

And yes, I will admit to being a fan of the Maple Leafs,

and additionally I'm an ABC fan (anybody but the Canadiens) ;)
