But this number will be given to the doctor i presume during the medical ? because when i called the office today and asked she said that she only needs my contact details to book it.. so in short, i should be able to book it now, and if i havent received packet 3 before the medical date, ill just call and get a new date The London doctors took the LND case number, so it would appear that whether or not they need it when booking is country-specific. You can get the case number from the NVC on the number Mari quoted earlier in the thread. Then you can contact the embassy a couple weeks after the file left the NVC to check that it has arrived safely and is loaded on their system.	rallybug	Male	England	2011-05-06 05:07:00

Medical booked - 27th May (they had nothing before the 25th, so I went for the Friday option as I only lose half a day's pay then as I normally finish at lunchtime on Fridays anyway). Anyone from CSC that can tell me what exactly you get in package number.3 ? reason why i am asking is because it's said for me to wait to book my medical until i receive packet nr.3 , is there a certain number or so that i need to give the doctor? or why do they ask that ? Reason why i am asking is because its a long wait here, and the doctor only have appointments 1 time a week.. Do you think it's safe to book it now ? "It's valid for 12 months" ? the lady booking doesnt require anything, i could have one for 31th of may, 25 days from now.. should be plenty of time for my packet 3 to arrive comments? thoughts ? The number you have to quote for the medical is the case number created by the NVC (for London it starts LND, Manila starts MNL, etc) - I presume it just means that when the medical results arrive at the embassy they are put with the correct file ready for the interview. OK check out Ankara and look for something like this: First, this page: http://turkey.usemba...w_schedule.html then, this page: http://www.usemb-ank...chedule_iv.html They say at the Embassy level it takes 2 -3 days to put your file in their system. I don't know if that is true or not. Try your embassy now and see if they have a schedule for interviews. They must! How else does everyone look up their scheduled time? Anyway, on their official website, there is a page of "Scheduled Interviews" .............. Now look for your ID# and K1. That's the date of your Interview! See? USCIS is finished with us now once the NOA2 is completed (temporarily anyway till we file AOS). Ben have Gin call the NVC and she can find out if your file even left for London (or UK somewhere). You can then start guesstimating the arrival at Embassy ... what do you think about 5 days to get there? I'm not sure how long it will take DHL (the service Dept of State will use) to get to UK, but ours got to the NVC on the 18th and left NVC on the 28th; it's in Ankara as of May 2nd! So, here I thought K can 'take his time" to get back to Adana. Then, I found out from our Embassy they have very few interviews so they're granting them within 20-30 days! LOL can you say stress Mari out? So for the just in case, we have the NVC fone # on the Thread Map Index (which would be really kewl if you could hot link that again btw lol ). EDIT: I forgot to say then you book your Medical if the Embassy has it! (you'll need your ID) Mari I just called the embassy premium rate number and they hadn't received it, but following someone else's guide for tracking DHL, it maybe being delivered today (naturally, the UK had two holidays this weekend (friday for the wedding and monday for a normal holiday) so that probably delayed it a little. I also have a log of the contents of each box...as you probably can guess our port of entry is by land. This way if my Montreal interview is in August I won't have a lot left to pack so we can have our 09.11.11 wedding! This is virtually all the reduced stuff from the loft of the garage - still have all my books, cds, dvds etc to pack. The upside is, of course, that after the next flight we won't be apart again She's printed out this year's pay stubs, her W-2, ordered her employer's letter of confirmation, etc for the I-134. I'll be off to the nearest Snappy Snaps photo shop for some more US-style passport photies and then we should get the LDN case number soon, when I can arrange my medical up in London. If I get enough notice, my brother has offered to come up to London with me and will wait outside with my phone etc - makes it easier than leaving it somewhere. I already have 2 copies of my police certificate, 2 certified copies of my birth certificate (plus original), lots of proof of having met since NOA1 and other bits and pieces. Once you have done AOS and have your green card, you do not need to sit the written and practical driving tests. You must: Apply in person at a Texas Driver License office. Complete the requirements for an original applicant (see Requirements above). Surrender your VALID out-of-state learner or driver license, or a VALID out-of-country learner or driver license from France, Canada, or Germany, at the driver license office. The written and driving examinations will be waived, but you must still pass a vision exam. OR Surrender your EXPIRED driver license at the driver license office. You will be required to pass the written, driving and vision exams. If you are under age 18, you must pass the mandatory driving test.NOTE: For customer convenience, some locations are pre-scheduling the driving exam. "As the medical exam results are normally valid for 12 months, you should complete your examination as soon as possible. You do not need to have received your appointment letter in order to attend your medical examination. An immigrant visa will NOT be issued until a U.S. consular officer has reviewed the results of the medical examination for each applicant." If the medical is valid for 12 months, do we even have to wait for the NOA2 to complete the medical?? Yes - you need to have your embassy case number before you can take the medical - case numbers start with an acronym for the embassy (for example a case number of NWD2008521001 would be New Delhi (NWD), 2008 (year), 521 (day in year) 001 (order number of the day's cases)). K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	December Filers	The fog of state rules and regs has just been lifted a little, for me & Utah anyway Just had a reply from the Utah driving license department, regarding the path I'll be taking when I get there: When an applicant meets all the qualifications, has valid documents, and passes all the required examinations, they will be given, in your case, a Limited Term Driver License. (required examinations are eye exam, Utah jurisdictional written exam, and skills (driving) exam) If you wish to add a motorcycle endorsement there is also a written exam and skills (driving) exam on a motorcycle, with an additional motorcycle endorsement fee of $9.50. Please know that this, the Limited Term Driver License is a full driver license, the limited term is based on the legal status in the United States. . As to your presumption and need to re-test, when qualifications are met that a Utah Driver License (not a limited term license) can be issued, you will not be required to do any testing or re-testing, this requires a fee and a status change only. If i get my police records now and let's say i get the noa 2 in 3 months, would the paperwork that i have gotten be valid ? or would they request me to get newer ones ? I am just trying to sort out my to do list and have everything prepared like a good husband for my interview date! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	December Filers	Just a thought, but everyone moving to America should think about getting several certified copies of your high school and/or college transcripts as well as letters of reference in English just in case you decide to work when you get here. At least I shouldn't have to worry about that - left high school nearly 23 years ago and never went to university. Just had the doctor's surgery on the telephone - the basic details of my notes since time immemorial have already been transcribed into their computer, so they can furnish me with a print-out of those for £10 ($16). Photocopies of all the notes would be more, somewhere around £50 ($80), so I'll wait to see if I want to get them until after I've perused the transcribed notes	rallybug	Male	England	2011-03-08 07:16:00

Only sending clothes back, so we thought we might as well make use of the trip for that too We'll each do two cases when I finally make the move too. The rest will be being boxed up and sent by FedEx, UPS, DHL, whoever offers the best door-to-door price by air (should be around 3-5 days door-to-door) just before I leave the UK finally. If you look at the November filers thread, they're all getting excited about their petitions coming up for review soon (naturally), as October are being processed. Yet, if you click on the Immigration Timelines link at the top of the page, it says that CSC are processing K-1 petitions from 7 November. The Igor Completeness bar chart page shows October, November, December barely started, but January and February 14% completed. Consistency? I've sent off for my police records check, and have the receipt notification by email, so that's in-hand. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	December Filers	OK you need to stop watching the clock and start planning the wedding or something! LOL you're making me stress out now. In fact, I was reviewing my I-134 draft (affidavit of support) before I had my CPA do my 2010 taxes and also my I-864 forms too. Since I am self employed, I must use "line 22" on my tax return to state my 2010 income. Everything is OK, but I did stress a little bit over it earlier. Not worth my muscles getting tense! Also, I worked on our wedding venues today for a bit and called around, emailed, got the packages, printed them and put them into a binder... OMG WHY DOES IT COST A BOAT LOAD OF $$ when we're only having 35-40 guests??? LOL I am so seriously going to skinny out that list! I mean it! I am sticking to budget and that's it. This morinng when K called, I asked him what kind of food... do you think he wants to plan with me? Nope. I also decided to incorporate his culture and heritage into our reception. I have an idea in my head and bunch of stuff going thru my mind ...now to get it into my planning notebook. Work work work! I'm now going to get my red velvet cupcakes with that beautiful snow cream frosting... omg... LOL this is what I get for watching those Cupcake Divas and the Cake Boss on TLC!
