My brother used our dad as the co-sponsor. My brother's fiancee had her interview on may 21, when the consular asked for her fiance's I-134 she give them my brothers I-134 but not my dads I-134. The interviewer asked her for more info concerning my brothers income. She must have mistakenly forgot to hand them my fathers I-134 at that time. The following week she went back to the embassy to give them the additional information the consular requested and my dads I-134. The interviewer said she now had all the necessary paperwork and that she could go home and wait for her visa. well last week she got a letter in the mail from the embassy stating... "we are unable to issue you an immigrant visa because you have been found ineligible under the following section of the Immigration and Nationality Act, you are likely to become a public charge". When she submitted the additional information i think the embassy may have overlooked my dad's I-134. My brother emailed the embassy a letter stating what happened, that they may have overlooked the co-sponsor I-134 when she went back the second time to give them the additional information.

Hello, My brother's wife had her interview at Manila embassy and got denied due to my brothers lack of income. He knew his income was below the income requirements so he used my father as a co-sponsor which far exceeds the income requirements. My question is--does the manila embassy not accept co-sponsors? or maybe they overlooked my fathers I-134 affidavit of support. can anyone give me any insight in this matter on what my brother should do? any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Interview was a success! The hub was scheduled for 9:30 but didn't end up getting in until around 10:15. The Fargo office is very small, and there was only one officer conducting interviews. And she kept being interupted by people walking in with one random question after another - even though it was clearly evident these people did not have appointments...it was rather shocking to see just how ill informed people are with the immigration process. We also had one minor glitch in that they made us go upstairs to the IRS and have them verify that we did not owe anything on our taxes. I assumed this was due to an error the IRS made a couple years back in which they took it upon themselves to credit the check sent with our taxes to the next years taxes. Gotta love it.

Now we are waiting on notification of the Oath ceremony, which we were advised might not be until February.

If you move to out of nowhere, probably you don't have many of people in front of you. ^^
So it is not lucky. It is one of perk from the fact when you live in rural area.

There is a spreadsheet with information on the site,if I find the link I will post it for you. I mailed my husband's I-601 to the Phoenix Lockbox from the US on 6/16/12 using Priority Mail. It was received in Phoenix on 6/18/12, and my husband received his I-797 in Canada yesterday. So it took about 7 business days to receive a receipt in Canada. Hope this information helps!!

Well the only thing i can tell u is that u were mother before wife, all this circumstances are damaging ur daughter identity, u should start thinking in take her back to USA, is not ur right as a mother to sacrifies her life for nobody, its u the one who got married not here and u should think first on her. I understand u that there is nobody else who can take care of her but u are the mother and when we have kids and we decide to marry again we should think 2 times first, kids are first and if u are a catholic u already know that what u are doing is unhealthy for her and is not right.

Go back to USA and if he really loves u he will be waiting for u.

Remeber that ur kids are ur blood and they will be always yours and there for u, a man who knows.

I agree with the posts about streamlining your hardship letter. Athens can be pretty tough on people. I wish you the best. Priority should be trying to get your daughter back with your son. She needs to go to school.
