Philippinesds 230...im confused
QUOTE (eimen05 @ Mar 29 2009, 12:44 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
i need some advice with regards to my cr1 petition.
when my hubby got an email that my visa was approved i thought we were done, but i was wrong..this was actually the start of the process....
so they sent my papers to nvc, they ask my hubby for the affidavit of support.he sent them in n paid $70.then i received a letter that asks me to choose an agent n i chose my hubby...
march 28 he received an email bout the iv fee bill.he payed it online n now we r still waiting for the receipt.

ysterday he got another email that says i need to send the ds 230 to nvc..my question is,,,is it just the part 1 of the ds forms that they need?or do i have to fill up both parts.ds230 parts 1 and 2?

pls help...based on the timelines that i read this is the last thing that they had to send nvc.and that after this nvc sends in the papers to their respective us embassies so i really wanna do this fast...pls help!

Hi! you have to fill up part I and II , BUT sign part I only. You need to send that to NVC along with the other documents required...birth certificate, marriage certificate, 2x2 photo (2 pcs), NBI clearance, police clearance, bar-coded coversheet and photocopy of the biographic page of your passport. I also made a photocopy of the whole packet and sent it along with the things mentioned above. After they review your documents for completeness , which usually takes about a week, then they will forward your documents to the embassy in the Philippines after they scheduled you for interview. I was told by the NVC operator that they keep the documents until a schedule for interview is set. Hope this helps smile.gif

Ok. Thanks! Maybe because SLEC wants to attend first to those who are going to have their interview prior to my hubby's schedule.

PhilippinesCase Number Not Found on Appointment List
QUOTE (Raeka @ Mar 31 2009, 08:49 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I was trying to check my appointment online in the USEM website. Since the NVC already set an interview date for me, i was thinking maybe i could also check it online at the USEM website as what other people here did when they got their May interview notice. They were able to check it at the USEM website but how come i can't?

QUOTE (AmyStan @ Apr 1 2009, 07:28 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I saw this on another site.

"The NVC Automated Phone Service says my petition has not been received. What's going on?

Those that will be applying for a K visa after approval of an I-129F are not able to use the NVC Automated Phone Service. These petitions in general are only at NVC for a relatively short period and as such information is not entered into the automated system. You will need to speak to operator. "

Hope it helps!

Hi! When is your appointment for the interview? Your documents might still be at the NVC and has not been forwarded yet to USEM. Once they forward all your documents, give them about a week and check it again on the USEM website. Try calling NVC to know the date when they sent the docs. Hope this helps smile.gif

PhilippinesThank you everyone!!!!
I just want to thank everyone here on VJ especially those who patiently reply on all my questions. This site helped me a lot going through this whole process. My hubby had his interview last april 20, 2009 @ 0830am. It was a very smooth and calm day for us. He told me that the only question that the CO asked him was my workplace...and that's it! The pre-screener asked for the CEMAR, pictures, phonecall records, mails and remittances. We received the visa 2 days after the interview.

Again, thanks to all and to those who are about to have their interview, we wish you Goodluck and keep praying for God's guidance! smile.gif

Hi! I would suggest that you do your medical exam whenever your case is completed at NVC. Usually kasi it takes 2 months after the completion of your case to have an interview schedule. smile.gif

Oh my mistake. K1 ka pala....I guess whenever you have a date for your interview at USEM na lang at saka ka magpa-medical. First come, first serve basis naman yun sa St.Lukes, so you can go there whichever day is convenient for you. Goodluck!!!

thas strange. i was there May 18 for my medical too. I just showed the email of appointment for interview that i printed (it wasnt even scanned, just copied and pasted) and the letter that i received fom Manila US embassy (eligibility for appointment letter).. no NOA2 copy was asked.
They should be needing just those two forms and the passport. that's it.

PhilippinesSome questions...
QUOTE (rockhouse @ Jun 2 2009, 12:17 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I was wondering, after we receive the NOA 2, is there a certain amount of time they give you from the NOA 2 to the scheduling of the interview? I mean does the NOA 2 expire if you wait too long to schedule the medical and other interview?
The reason i ask is that my finacee wants to get a job soon in Cebu while she waits for the NOA 2. She says that at the call centers where she applied they make the employees sign a 5 month contract. She says that if she breeches the employment contract that they will charge her 45,000P.
So we are trying to figure out if there would be enough time to fulfill her employment contract AFTER we receive the NOA 2.
I am also curious as to how serious these employment contracts actually are. Would a call center really try and sue a poor filipina for 45,000P? And could a breech of such a contract hinder the whole K1 visa process in some way?
Any info is appreciated......thanks.

call centers in ph nowadays do that, its common. but dont worry too much about it. Im about to start mine tomorrow (we have the same contract) and my visa interview is in 16 days. If she's leaving the country anyway why worry? all they can do is not give her a clearance from work which she will need if she applies for another job in the philippines and not release her backpay. that's all. the company wont really spend time and money to sue every single employee who resigns. I know some friends from call centers who had resigned as they have better job offers in other companies, they just cant include their previous employer in their resume bec. they know that they wont be able to get a clearance or cert. of employment anyway. that's all. so, go do what you have to do and even if she have the visa, she still have six months in her hands smile.gif
take it easy smile.gif

PhilippinesPhilippine interview preperation
QUOTE (GBlackwell @ Jul 4 2009, 11:37 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Hello to all...

I am Gary and I live in Alabama. My fiance is in Davao City, Philippines. We just received our approval letter from the USCIS and the letter from the NVC. I have a few questions and I hope someone can give us some answers.

1) There is conflicting information regarding setting the date for the interview. The Manila site says to call a specific number to set an interview time. The NVC says to wait for Manila to assign an interview date then after the interview date they will send a packet of confirmation.

I suggest that you call the number (their call center), that's what I did. they will gladly assist you and give the available dates for interview.

2) We have so much proof of relationship but what kind of proof are they looking for regarding intent to marry. Are they not the same? We do not have wedding plans set because we have no idea when visa will be granted.

I included mine and my fiance's letter of intent to marry, in my "Evidence of engagement folder" ( I have about 6 folders smile.gif consul said Im very organized smile.gif hehe ). Our letter was short and straightforward, about 3 sentences. That's it. I believe that our engagement pictures, engagement ring receipt, etc. was more than enough as a proof, but we made a letter anyway.

3) Two of her children will be accompanying her to me. They must be involved in the interview. What kind of questions will they ask the children and will they be accompanied by mom in the interview? They are nervous about the interview.

Please check this link http://www.visajourn...amp;hl=pictures

Thanks so much for any responses.

Gary

Anyways,My fiancee (husband now) bought a ticket for me and our daughter at continental airlines website using his credit card.He just put my and our daughter's name, passport number and expiration, then he emailed me the e-ticket and boarding pass with our seat number and I printed it.When we were at NAIA,I just showed them our e-ticket,they didn't ask for my husband's credit card's copy and/or Identification. That's it,didn't encounter problem.

oh my, i got worried when i read the OP's post, coz my fiance bought me a ticket using his credit card thru cheapoair.com, they never said anything about a photocopy of credit card (I have a photocopy of his passport anyway). PhilippinesFinishing DOT process at St Lukes

Hi Misha Jeff,

Wow congratulations to your fiancee and to me (haha) we will finish our DOT finally. I don't know if I'm seeing your fiancee there but I'm happy to hear that. Anyway, about the NBI and the CENOMAR you have to ask Michelle when she got her NBI because that's only valid for 1 year. About the CENOMAR as long as she have the original copy she is good on that, no validation unless she will marry :D About the payment, yes you have to pay for the retake of the medical the same as before. The payment of the Visa interview is valid only for 1 year upon payment. So if she had 8 months in medical she still have time to take the interview without paying. Yehey to that. Also, the St. Lukes will explain to her what she have to do after the medication so relax. Just pray for the remedical and everything will be ok.

Question tho, when Michelle will end her medication? Thank you.

PhilippinesJust submitted K1 to vermont
Hello all.... I just submitted my K1 to the vermont center from the philippines on the 23rd. Since im in the philippines working i can see my fiance once in a while, i guess my question would be what should me and my fiance do when we are together to get concrete evidence of a relationship?

THIS IS WHAT I PUT IN MY I-129F Packet:

I sent about 16 pictures of us together printed out on paper 4 per page and i wrote in captions underneith them all with dates and where we were, I sent in a photocopy of my entry into the Philippines this year and a photocopy of my passport exit in 2008 ( long story i have two passports one civilian and one government, I came to philippines in 2007 on orders without my passport so i only got an exit stamp on the one ) I do not have my itinerary from this year or in 2007, but i have my excess baggage claim and it shows my destination being manila, i have my orders bringing me to the philippines in 2007 and in 2009, hotel recipts from 2007, 2008, and 2009 from hotels in Makati, I even have a letter of appearance from one hotel signed by the managers at the hotel saying that my fiance was my guest while i was there. I only sent a few Instant Messages because none were dated and I also sent in copies of reciepts from me mailing her things when I was back in the states.

What else can we get while we are together here in the phils? We are planning to get pictures with me and her family.

I also hope that I can be here for her interview and she can fly back with me to the states. we will see how long the process takes.

Any input will be great,

Thanks again
