I called the 202-663-1225 number. Seems this is the DOS number.

I got the email for NOA2 on Dec 23.

The number above said NVC got the case Dec 27. She seemed very hesitant about the case. She said it would be a long time before it goes to the embassy in India.

Makes me worry. I have heard of cases where NVC puts it into AP.

Anyone know the NVC number?

You sent the right money in the right timeframe and because of THEIR mistake you've ended up being RFE'd as a result of the damn notice date on an NOA1 you should have received early August. Their systems are not as foolproof as they should be. I don't know how many times I've said on VJ that the 'notice date' is more trouble than it's worth and here is proof. mad.gif

If it's any consolation (I doubt it) we have had heard nothing whatsoever on our petition. We are wondering whether ours got filed with the September filers as a result of the notice date on our NOA1.

Thank Aly, I have decided to visit him Valentines Day - I've had it, been too long! Havent told him yet, but I have a few days off work the week after and will take a couple of days off the week before - hopefully if I can keep to myself until then, it'll be a surprise for him!. The thought keeps me going :-)

I do understand your frustration... we did get approved however.... our NOA2 has the consulate wrong.... seems it's going to be an act of congress (and I don't say that lightly) to get this corrected. I have been calling both CSC and NVS to no avail... one doesn't know what the other is doing. Congressmen and Senator's appear to not be able to be bothered with my little "imigration issue".

All you can do is follow the guidelines and send in the info with a letter and pray and pressure these idiots to rectify their error! I wish you much luck and success!

Thanks! You're right it is so hard to be calm. I'm grateful for the approval but then again.... how valid is it if my finace' is from one country and they have the consulate listed as a completely different country??!! I'm thinking.... not very!

What NVC told me is that it doesn't matter what is on the NOA2, they go by their own records (I'm assuming the info they pull off of the petition) but I have to wonder.... if that's the case, why don't we just send our petitions straight to NVC???? What I understand is that they whole petition is sent to NVC. Which is a good thing especially in my case but I just have to wonder how factual the information I'm receiving is. We were approved on Dec 4th..... NVC still hasn't received our case..... ridiclous!!!!!

Ugh!! Maybe they hired people without interviewing them!!! Hopefully NVC will get their work done a little more accurately then the USCIS centers. Hugs to you too. I dont know what I would have done without VJ.com!

The fire may already be burning. VSC had 20 K1 approvals last week (Sun - Sat). That is close to the total of CSC/NSC/TSC which churned out 25. On a % of open petitions basis, VSC had a much greater % than CSC/NSC/TSC. biggrin.gif

Maybe they have but I don't see my timeline going down. I'm up to Dec 21 now.


The VSC Projected Adjudication Dates were probably earlier than they should have been recently due to the bizarre clump of September approvals. At this point those are being averaged out and the PAD is climbing again and is more consistent with the waiting time of recent approvals.

My petition was received one day before yours and at this point I am anticipating a January approval if VSC maintains last week's pace. December is still possible but I think unlikely unless VSC starts to move even faster. Personally I am relieved that January is now a possibility since until this month it looked like July VSC filers were going to be waiting a very long time.

Of course with a service center that approves September petitions before those from June, July & August anything is possible. Maybe Santa will stuff our stockings with a nice NOA2 surprise. dancin5hr.gif

My fiancé and I are hoping for a weeding in March or April....

So I started a new thread about petitions postmarked before july 30th and finally heard some good news from my congressman's office. They left a message today telling me they had good news for me whistling.gif

Then I received an email from my congressman's office:

Well, I received my letter from NVC dated Aug 6th. When I call NVC to find update of it going to Morocco embassy, they have no such number received. My letter has USCIS number and the new NVC case number.

I have been trying to call NVC to find out if it has been sent to Casa, but always get operators are busy, goodbye.

So now what? Anyone tell me................pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

Am I (being a filipino citizen on a STUDENT VISA) ELIGIBLE to apply for my K1 fiancee visa here in Frankfurt ( as we filled it in our 129-F form) or this would it require me to possibly go back to my country of origin and continue my K1 visa process there.????!!!??? helpsmilie.gif helpsmilie.gif helpsmilie.gif

We got NOA2 hard copy too and didn't listed the consulate where they will forward it. My fiancee called NVC yesterday, and was told that NVC will be sending the petitioner an NVC notice where the consulate is stated and also gave us our NEW case number in reference to your receipt number.
So just give them a call!

And our papers left NVC to my consulate yesterday itself! YAHOOOOOO!!!!! kicking.gif kicking.gif kicking.gif

Hey guys its still fresh to me how i had been whining yesterday about feeling helpless of our approval... and so happy to share to you our great news. I used to check our emails a lot of times a day and today i woke up wit my honey calling me he got a notice on email that were approved! THANKS GOD..i screamed out. Its an undescribable feeling, so blessed for NO RFE's either as we fear that coz we dont have a separate Letter of Intent to Marry, My fiancee just write it for both of us..which is BIG THANKS TO THAT! We were only touched once since our NOA1,..and that is October 18...NO touches...no news....Nothing until today that were just surprise of the news good.gif ...So to all you guys out there..DON'T WORRY about the touches, it may or may not be touched often just like others, it doesn't mean that your papers were not attended, as we used to think and feel like that...but APPROVAL NOTICE will just surprise you one day just like we had....So now will be preparing again for the next step....More research againnnnnn!!!

GOODLUCK to all and praying for a speedy approvals for all. YOUR all next in line....GODBLESS and many thanks for all the emotional support and helpful infos....VJ Rulesss!!!! Pretty soon were all be reunited to our love ones and never be separated again......

SAME HERE....got our NOA 2 15th of january and informed on the 24th jan that they are sending it here in germany THAT day....been checking the mailbox first thing in the morning since....but NOTHING yet....can't hold on waiting, coz every day COUNTS...called the US embassy last 12th of february...and was told that will be sending my Packet 3 the next day.....That was an EXCITING news and just CAN'T wait.....but till today...its over a week now.. crying.gif crying.gif crying.gif .for a LOCAL mail to reach me seemed liked taking forever...does it have to pass by the PACIFIC OCEANNNN???? waahhh...feeling down but MUST wait.....i know its getting nearer but just telling myself...MORE PATIENCEEEEEE!....

My fiance called from Sudan today. He said that the US Embassy in Cairo sent him his Passport with the US Visa. It came via DHL yesterday.
