Faxed him the privacy form. Called him Wednesday because I never asked him how long I should allow for him to check on my petition. He said that he emailed someone a few days earlier and is waiting to get a response, then he will contact me. I think I will call him back on Monday. Today I got my 'Constituent Assistance Form' (permission to obtain information on my behalf) from my Congressman's office and filled it out and faxed it back, they should see it Monday. She is sending a form to me to fill out and return that will give them permission to inquire about my case. I will fax a copy of my NOA1 and the form back to them and then they will send an inquiry to USCIS about the status of my case. Maybe it's small, but progress is progress. I just got the hard copy NOA2 on Monday. Wed[ yesterday] a letter from NVC saying in a week the case goes out. I feel really good right about now, but i want the other filers on here to have that feeling too. Really hope some more approvals happen this week...... Yes I agree, everyone deserves to be together as soon as they can be. We all know how hard this process is to endure but WE WILL get through it and the future will be worth every second we've waited! From what I understand from others, USCIS customer service will not tell you anything except what their website says regarding your case. Also lately, people who have gotten their approval letters in the mail, have not received any updates or emails from USCIS prior to finding the letter in the mail and the website still shows their cases 'pending and processing'. I am sure they know when things are mailed out, they just can't/don't give out any information at all that differs from what you can actually see on their website (which doesn't seem to be being updated lately). I believe we are all just stuck WAITING, which sucks! But...we are all here in the same boat so we may as well lean on each other and try to be supportive. By the way, I got your message and you can feel free to contact me anytime. I do understand and am feeling the same. One office promised that in three weeks someone would look into it and send me a letter by (antiquated) mail. I was waiting patiently, but it's quite difficult to remain patient: If I lived further west, the California Service center would have had a decision for me serveral months ago (probably). I worry that tomororw on their site it will say 10 months instead of 6 months, so we should be patient for at least 10 months. So at the very least, we are making our opinions known to our representatives when we ask them for help. But I don't beleive it will make a difference for our case. I understand your feelings. Try to stay positive though. I know that's hard, believe me I go back and forth in my feelings everyday. But...once this is all done and we are together with our loves, this 4, 6 or even 10 months of waiting will be small compared to the time we will have in our future together. Try to think of that future together and if we can all get through this together, we will get through anything together. I wish you nothing but luck and speed for everyone for love's reunions. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	January '09 Vermont K-1 Filers	I just called my Congressman's office and they are going to look into what's going on with my case with VSC and call me back. Hopefully they will be able to shed some light and I also asked for them to please mention that the USCIS website is not being updated or sending any email notifications lately. I will update with anything I find out. I mentioned to them how many people are seeing people before and after them and even some with same dates (like my case), being approved and that is seems some are being passed by. That the USCIS website is not being updated or sending emails and that we depend on this to know what is happening with our cases. That no one wants their case to be lost or skipped and many people are concerned. The gentleman I spoke with was very nice and said that their Senior Case officer from their district office will look into this and call me back within a week. So we will see what I can find out. I told him that of course I am concerned for my own case but for others as well. In the meantime I hope to see people being approved and things moving along as they should. Good luck to all. Bascially, it does no good to call them- unless its been longer than 6 months and you have had no action on your case. then , they are supposed to do something- what? i dont know. hopefully i wont have to find out. im being optimistic that the NOA2 will be rolling in within the next 3 weeks. if not, that is when panic mode will start to kick in !!!!! im starting to see a few Jan vermont filers start to get their NOA2's but im not sweating yet cuz i had to do a RFE, which probably delayed thinsg a bit on mine. so , i will play it cool for 3 more weeks. if no news by then, will have to come up with a plan of action. anyone else out there got their NOA2 yet? I am really wondering what is going on since there has been no action since 4/30 showing on Igor's list for approvals at VSC. It's just strange that there is nothing new at all in the past 4 business days for Vermont. I also checked California's Igor's list and there has only been 1 approval there since 4/28 and it was dated 5/4. I really wish we had some way of knowing what's up. It's frustrating. I definitely noticed because I've only just become obsessive. I was fine thinking my NOA2 wouldn't come for at least a month, until I saw people who applied after me got approved. Now I cannot stop checking my email, this website, or the USCIS site. It's making the days pass a lot slower... Yes, I agree, but our day is coming!! Just try to be patient, lol. Basically I think ours are sitting on a shelf somewhere while they are working on the ones ahead of ours. It is all a waiting game. Even if there is a touch, could just be them moving it from one place to another, there's really no way to know what they do when they 'touch' anything. Just try to be patient.
