Who are you to judge?

I have morals and values. You don't, based on your post.

Middle East and North AfricaOh my gosh, say a prayer...

I wish him the best of luck... and I think some people don't understand what is necessary to get some movement on cases in the Middle East.

So lying to get some movement on a case is totally acceptable, since it is a necessity.

Middle East and North AfricaOh my gosh, say a prayer...

He will tell the man at the gate that he was called in to get his fingerprints done, that he's there to do them and that's that.

Has anyone praising, wishing good luck to and supporting the OP's fiance realized he's going to LIE?

congrats Jean... way to go Moh!!!! and I'd just like to say to dmartar - "NAH, NAH, NAH, NAH, NAH" and I wish the appropriate smiley existed to insert here.

It's not over 'til the fat lady sings.

Now we'll just have to wait and see what the outcome of lying will be.

Just Waiting, please do keep us informed.

Middle East and North AfricaQuestion of the day
Hello all, I usually dont post on this thread but a friend of mine told me I should start. Hello Dorothy, I would like to respond to your topic, if I may.

A lot of times we dont look for God unless we need him. Being a believer is great, this means that somewhere along the line there must have been a connection or you would not believe. Remember, God never disconnects, we do. Faith is really something that comes as you build or shall I say reconnect your relationship with God. Faith is a seed that is planted in us and it grows as we water it. How do we water it. Well we all water it some way or another right here on visa journey. Would you go through this whole process without faith. absolutely not. So you watered your seed and now it has grown enough to get Jamal by your side.

You see, you are just a little dry right now and it happens to everyone. As for Jamal, learn from his dedication, and you do the same but Dorothy, you cant do it alone. To be honest, maybe that why you and I have become friends. God will put people in your path to guide you along. Here I am and I am waiting here for you in NC. You can water your seed by turning on your tv in the morning and listing to Creflo Dollar or TD Jakes, theres so many. Grab a Bible, read only 1 verse a day and remember it throughout the day. And Girl before you know it, you are on your way with a cup overflowing with water. Love you and please call me so we can go crazy in this topic.

 thats a good question, honestly i dont see them doing it. I do know someone that took this risk and I have not heard from him in 3 months. He signed a 1 year contract for just about $200,000 and he told me he was doing it so that he can take this money and go back to egypt and live like a king. hmmmmmmmmm

Middle East and North AfricaTue... Tue... Tuesday

First and last day of chirstmas shopping for me. :help:

Amazon is your friend!!! I rarely buy anything for Christmas that I can't buy online. I might pay a little more for gifts because of shipping but I save on sanity from not having to deal with the crowds.
Thankfully this year, Christmas gifts are only for my son, nephew and parents.

Oh and it's 26 here at 6:15 a.m. I sure hope it warms up some today. :D

And Jenn, you left out my favorite ones!

Middle East and North AfricaPOE query - ME/NA specific please
 congrats on the both of u uniting. Your question has stirred up questions in my mind. I was under the impression that you pick your POE. Also, I live in North Carolina and whenever I go to Morocco, I have to fly from NC to JFK and then take Royal Air Moroc to Morocco. So if JFK is the only airport that gives a temp. EAD, can he use that temp in NC.

Something just came to mind while I was reading these replys. I feel like I am on a merry go round, we keep going over the same things. I honestly believe that the bottom line to the whole question is "work ethics". I am talking about all kinds of foreigners or US citizens.

I have been to Morocco 3 times and with every visit I saw beggers in the street. Some even with new born babies. Well I am sorry to say but when these beggers arise in the morning they feel they are going to work. If I might say, they probably make more money as a begger than maybe an educated man. My fiance told me of an incident where a begger put out his hand to his uncle. His uncle told him to come back the next day and he will hire him. He asked what the wages were and he totally turned this job down.

My fiance's brother has a degree and he chooses to work in the fields with his father preparing to sell olive oil. So again work ethics, some get up in the morning to walk around selling watches and wallets in the street. There was not 1 time where someone approached us at a coffee shop so that we can buy something. Some women get up and go to the parks to do paintings on peoples arms. This is work. If they spend all these hours doing that then why can't they come here and work.

Anyone that has a fiance here, I am sure their fiances' are very well educated because I really havent met anyone from the Middle East that does not have a college degree. Now they also all know that coming here they would face extreme difficulties, its a culture shock and also finding employment even for US Citizens can be difficult. Thank God they have us that are very understanding, supportive, and extremely compasionate to their situation. We are always willing to jump in and help them in anyway possible.

Can you please share what your source of information is for this?

Hey JP! Having fun?

I think Lillian was talking about her own experiences only. What she sees in her community and from people she knows.

thanks sophia for your support. I said previously that I hope I dont offend anyone, I also said that you can scratch that part of my paragraph out and chuck it up to work ethics. I have in my own personal experience, known a great deal of foreigners, not only from the Middle East but from other countries and they take education very, very seriously. So to end it, if you are a US Citizen and you accept the fact that your fiance or husband refuses to work then I salute you. Those of you that don't accept it, well I really salute you. I really think that this topic has nothing really to do with the fact that these men or women are foreigners because even if I was going to marry a us citizen, the same will still apply. NO EXCUSE. THAT IS A TOTAL DISREGARD TO YOUR FEELINGS AND FINANCIAL SITUATION.

This is totally untrue.

My fiance is not well educated. Bright, intelligent yes. educated no.

:innocent: My bad :innocent: ok then delete that sentence from my entire paragraph, but if we see all the responses to this topic, there are a lot of well educated fiances out there. I read about a doctor, pharmaceutical work, real estate investor, math teacher, carpenter. So lets chuck it up to work ethics. If you are not well educated then you got to have work ethics. You will probably do anything to bring home the bacon to support your family, so a degree is not really needed, work ethics are needed.

  Mybackpages u hit it right on the nose and I think that is the real question here.

I wonder how much of these expectations or misunderstanding of the US further perpetuate the behavior in some men?

How far would they go to achieve their expectations and what would their actions be if their expectations were not met. hmmmmmmmmm

I've have been reading all the responses to this topic and I'll get to a part where it just burns me up inside to hear some of the responses. Yes everyone has their opinion so I decided to post mine. Hope I dont offend anyone.

For someone to sit back and say they dont want to work is a disregard to us and our situation. Even if it is starting out at the bottom. I am a us citizen and I started in Burger King. So why is this considered a crappy job. If your fiance is a smoker, well then he can buy his own cigarettes with this job. If he needs transport to other interview, this job can pay for the transport and I am sure that this job can help in many more ways that people can imagine.

It makes me wonder if they expect to just jump right into these high paying positions. It takes time for anyone to achieve their goals. Can it be that maybe by taking a job in McDonald they meet someone that has a husband or close friend that works in a high paying job and they turn around a recomend you and you get that high paying job. It's all about who you know. Sitting at home wont get it. Thanks for letting me vent.

hello all, i just started posting on this thread. Thanks mybackpages for guiding me.

To give my opinion on this questions, I would say that a lot of times they are intimidated because of the english language. I've noticed not just with Moroccians but also with other foreigners, they dont have enough confidence in themselves when it comes to communicating in english. So they may use the money part as an excuse. Talk to him further and see what really may be barthering him. As someone else stated, they dont make a lot of money in morocco.

Middle East and North AfricaUpdate
Jean I am sorry for your distress and if I may, I want to leave a prayer for u here.

Father, Our God, Our Provider, Our Doctor, Our Lawyer, Our Everything, it is written that you know what we want even before we come to you with it. It is also written that you would not put any more on us that we can handle. So Lord, its time for you to stand in and :help:. We know that threw you all things are possible.

Father we ask that as the sun rises in the Middle East and as the Consulate begins their work day, that Mohamed's Visa is the first to be laid eyes upon. Lord I pray that Mohamed's phone will ring and someone with some sense would advise him to pick up the visa today.

Oh God you are about LOVE and we ask that you would make a way for Jean and Mohamed to be joined together. Jean is at her wits end, Father I ask that you pour out your peace on her in such a way that she wont even understand it. Please oh God grant them the desire of their hearts. enough is enough.

Amen
