Your application is confirmed

Anyone ever heard of this? Is it some kind of scam?

No ,there is a Diversity lottery every year. Check the USCIS website for details.
But they dont send out eligibilty emails, you just apply. And if you qualify, you may win the DV lottery to come to USA.

Middle East and North AfricaWhat going on in the interview @ casablanca consulate ???
this is what happened to us. My Fiance had his interview there Sept.13th, got the 221G form stating it was going back to USCIS. Well through numerous phone calls to NVC, DOS, and USCIS, our papers never were returned to immigration. They stayed in Casa. I even called the head person in the embassy, talked with him and he was going to look into it. He is the man in the administrative office there. If you want to call him. I talked with first Mr Noell, but he is no longer there. So then afterwards I kept calling DOS and they said our papers were still there in Casa.

Now my fiance got a phone call, Dec. 20th from Casa to come January 15th and bring proof of our relationship. So you see, there could be hope. Just keep calling Washington and they can tell you what is going on with papers. For some reason, they seem to know it all and what is happening. There could be hope still for you.

Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My fiance had his 2nd interview...........was asked to bring proof of our relationship. Ok, he did that, had the same girl he had at his first interview. Now she looks at emails, chat, maybe a pic or two, asked about my first trip to see him, then my second trip.

On my first trip, we got engaged. I gave him a wedding ring and he wears it every day. Over here, in the US, when you give a man a wedding band, it is supposed to be at your wedding. Now, some say it is ok for a man in Morocco to wear it because he is engaged. So the first trip, I told him not wear it, this 2nd trip, he had it on, put in his folder and it went through the scanner and was detected something was in folder. So the security saw it, so what?

Now, this girl has told him to go to his hometown, bring back the certificate of celibacy or HE WILL BE SAD??????????
So now, he is thinking they don't believe him to being single and never married.
wacko.gif

I am thinking, since it has been 4 months from 1st interview, that these papers he had, certificate from where he lives now in Tangier of celibacy may be expired? Like after 90 days, do papers expire and you have to present new ones.

I don't think he ever got one from his hometown before because he has been gone for 8 years

So now, he has to RUNNNNNNNNNNNNNn get this paper, RUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN back to Casa in order to get visa.

hi i had my interview in the same day as ur fiance , i talked to one guy there filling K1 too but i can't recall the name , maybe he is the one tongue.gif

anyway i got 221G Too and it says back to usa , and it's the same as your fiance ,

sound like the certificate he gave them the 1st time has expired and i feel that the interview was ok then they are asking him to give them a new one , and i hope the things works fine

about me still waiting and they say our case pending final AP

i just want to ask you , what moves u did to make them call ur fiance for 2nd interview

u sound like us, we filled in Feb my interview was in Spt 13 i got 221g still waiting 4 months

he never had one from his hometown the first time he went. Only the one from Tangier. So NOW they want one from his hometown. Makes no sense to me, why don't they post stuff like that in the papers they send you? Anyway, he will get it done and hope in a hurry too.

So he already had the certificate with him the first time? Sorry if I missed it but how did yuo get a 2nd interview only 4 months after the first? Were you denied the first time? If that's all they need to get his visa then I would say that's good news- it sounds like a 221g pending the certificate they asked for.

he only had certificate from where he lives now, not one from his hometown. Was given 221G form and told him papers were going back to USCIS, which they did not. Now he tells me the girl asked him why we did not get married when I visited him in November. He told her because our case is still pending and we were waiting to hear back wacko.gif

I really think he was paranoid about the ring being in the folder and security detected it going through the scanner. All he has to do now is give them what they asked for and he probably will get Visa. I think after 90 days, the papers expire? You know the police certificate, birth, etc Just a thought.

Hi everyone! Just wanted to let you know my husband made it home from Cairo on Saturday. His POE was Logan Airport in Boston (connected from Frankfurt). Flight landed at 2, he exited baggage claim around an hour and a half later.

Cairo issued the wrong visa (CR1 instead of IR1). We are working to fix that now, but the important thing is he is HERE! So happy to be back. And he got to see the Pats win on Sunday which he really wanted to be able to watch (hasn't really seen the Pats in four years since he was here last!).

Still hoping for all of you STILL waiting that you have speedy reunions!

I just received the same news! On 16 Jan. I received an e-mail from the Embassy in Cairo for my fiance to submit his Passport, so my Fiance sent his Passport to them via DHL. Today I got the below email. Also, today I called The US Embassy in Cairo and was told that it will take 1 week to put Visa stamp in Passport, then Passport will be sent via DHL to my fiance. After such a long wait, I can barely believe it. It makes it all worth it! Alhamdulillah.

Yeah, 58. Our county decided to up the value of our property even though we had not done any major renovations on it. Since we were going to be taxed based on that higher value anyway, we decided to re-finance and use the extra money to replace the windows. They were still the original windows (1956 house) and were drafty. Replacing all of them at once has certainly helped our power bill. Can't wait to see what effect it would have on our heating bill this winter!

wow.... great job! I really like the way your exterior looks... and the curb appeal! The bathroom and kitchen look great too!

All we did this year was to replace all our windows... I think it was a total of 58 windows in all (including garage and basement). But we had a contractor do that. Now that we have done the windows, I'll sit hubby down and go over our other projects and put them in order of priority (and maybe give ourselves a kick in the behind to get things started!).

Middle East and North AfricaCan someone remarry right away after a divorce and still get the visa?

You are misunderstanding here. It wasn't her who duped him, it was him who duped her. She stood by him and before the interview, he ran off with another woman! So I'm not sure if I understand what you are saying dmartmar.

Regardless of who did the duping, trying to attempt reaching the exact same goal a second time around, yet so quickly after failing the first time, will make the USCIS be highly suspicious of her intentions.

I feel good that she will be away from this idiot, but at the same time, why not feel bad for her? After all the love, effort and money she put into it, to then be taken this way?

I feel good that the soon-to-be ex-husband will be away from his soon-to-be fraudulent ex-wife, but at the same time, why not feel bad for him? After all, he was duped into marriage by his soon-to-be scum con-artist ex-wife.

Which is why I also feel bad for her possible second husband, whom she's duping into marriage as well.

Did I read this correctly?

Original petitioner and benef.'s marriage is on shaky ground, and the Benef. is already considering another marriage/relationship. ####### is that all about? Can you make the red flag any bigger?

Exactly the same way I see it.

Marrying a USC who submits visa paperwork, then withdraws it and ends up getting divorced wouldn't necessarily raise any red flags, .

But attempting the exact same thing, this second time around through a new USC spouse and so quickly after divorcing the first, would.

Middle East and North AfricaThe Saga Continues.....

Asalaamu Aleykum,

For those of you that are familiar with my case and what happened to my fiance at the POE in Atlanta, I would like to give you an update on where we are now in the process.

I contacted an attorney and found out that for Immigration purposes you must be legally marry in order to file for a Spousal visa....Furthermore, in order to get married both parties must be present at the ceremony and the marriage must be consumated. Therefore, you can NOT have a proxy marriage.

In our case, my fiance called the Imam over the telephone and agreed to marry me, which is part of his custom and our religious practice.

OK, I filed a waiver to remove the 5-year exclusion and contacted our Senator. In turn, the Representative from the Senator's office thought the entire case was a bowl of do-do, however she sent an email to the Embassy. The Embassy replied that they wanted to see my fiance for an interview on what happened at the POE. My fiance went to his interview yesterday. My fiance said he was iinterrogated by the CO and a rep from DHS. He was under the impression that the interview would be about is exclusion from the POE. However they asked him questions like:

How old is your sister, when is her birthday? What jobs did you have in your country? Why did your fiance decide to convert to Islam!! WHAT THE HECK!!!! Does your fiance go to the MOSQUE!!!! When your fiance visit you here in Germany, did she attend the mosque????

He said that he became a bit perturbed by the questions and asked them...Why are you not asking me questions about my entry denial?

Their response was....WE ALREADY KNOW YOU ARE NOT MARRIED, WE ARE HIGH INVESTIGATORS AND WE KNOW EVERYTHING !!!!
My fiance response was...So you excluded me for what reasons????? They did not answer him. He said after talking with them for three hours they told him goodbye and have a good day.
NO INFORMATION ON HIS VISA STATUS! NO INFORMATION ON WHAT WE SHOULD DO NEXT!!! NOTHING!!!!
He said that he felt like a mouse in a cat maze and they wasted another three hours of his time.
After being in jail overnight at the POE and being interrogated another three ours yesterday. He has come to the conclusion that he do not wish to be in a country that don't want him.

Beggars can't be choosers.
