I update it manually. takes me about 20 minutes to build the list, so I will do it after a couple of changes have accrued.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reportscalifornia processing times
3 - 4 months is probably the average, but each case is dealt with individually. It could be that the time is shorter or longer.
bszoom42FemaleIndia2007-07-08 15:12:00
K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reportscalifornia processing times
Usually it is much faster. In case it is not, the time listed there is what you can use to escalate the processing of your case. For example, if the date is 7 months back, and you have waited 30 days after their listed time, when you call the service center, they should give you a better response because you have waited more then the listed amount of time.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsVSC

I'm sure I read the other day though that last July there were like 70 NOA2's issued?

That was probably from one of my posts. Please keep in mind, that was just showing the subset of VJers who updated their timelines to show they received a NOA2 last July from VSC.

Actually, VSC processes many many NOA2s per month.

It should be interesting to see if VSC can keep up its low turn around time on NOA2s after the change to direct filing.

The NOA1 date is the RECEIVED date on the I-797. That is the date they will prioritize your request by. The notice date is simply the date that they notice was printed.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsPls Help me to determine REAL NOA1 date
NOTICE DATE is the date the physical paper (I-797 or I-797C) was printed, and is basically irrelevant to your Visa Process.

On the I-797C (NOA1), the RECEIVED DATE is the date your petition is prioritized by. That is the date that should be entered in the VisaJourney.com timeline.

YanJeff, your NOA1 DATE is 05-25-2007.

And Olya2007, pushbrk is correct, your NOA1 DATE is June 5th.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsDid I get everything?

Looks complete to me, though asset data like mortgage, and bank letters are not needed if income exceeds 125% of the povertyline, I did not included this info so that the consular officer would have one less thing to ask my fiancee about.

Originally, I wanted to go this route, but after hearing some stories about how consulates can ask for lots of things, I figured I would send her everything but the kitchen sink. Also, I was scared about the wording of Packet 4 for New Delhi - it sounded like even if your income was sufficient, you had to show a backup means of support. Therfore, I used my income and my savings - both of which are sufficient of their own.

Here's what I sent:

6 notorized and signed copies of the I-134 (2 for her to give to VFS, 2 for the Embassy, and 2 in case she needs).
3 Orginal Employer Letters (states income, hours I work, how long i have worked, that they will continue to employ me, my title, on company letterhead)
6 Color Photocopies of the Employer Letter
2 sets of Pay Stubs for the last 18 months.
2 sets of Tax Returns for Federal & State for 2006, 2005, 2004 (all signed by me)
2 sets of W2s for Federal & State for 2006, 2005, 2004
Bank Statements (from multiple accounts) detailing Stocks/Mutual Funds owned and current market value.
Tax History from 2006 through 2000 listing full details of my income, amounts paid to state and federal.
2 sets of full color photocopies of my Passport (including cover and every page, even if blank)
2 sets of full color photocopies of my Birth Certificate (front and back)
Original Certified Copy of my Birth Certificate
Color photocopy of my NJ Drivers License.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsPetition Approval Problem if the the Petitioner is a Naturalized US Citizen

A naturalized citizen is a citizen with all the rights, priviliges and responsibilities of being a citizen so there shouldn't be any problems based on that. Good luck

Well, its irrelevant to this discussion, but a naturalized citizen does not have ALL the rights of a natural born citizen - for example, in order to be elgible for President of the US...

No person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that office who shall not have attained to the age of thirty five years, and been fourteen Years a resident within the United States.

That's from the US Constitution Article II

Its a very simple process.

#1. I do a VisaJourney.com Timelines query as follows:

http://www.visajourn...t...ll&dfile=No

#2. I set the number of results to something around 1500. (I check to make sure I have all data from 1/1/2007 and on; I adjust the number accordingly.

#3. I put that data in an XLS worksheet.

#4. I format the data, try to dedupe a bit, etc.

#5. I query the excel sheet using SQL to generate the lists.

#6. I post the lists.

Takes me less then 20 minutes to do nowadays. It used to take me much longer. Perhaps if I get savvy enough, I can find a way to streamline it.

Hmm, that thread is a listing of people who have put in VisaJourney.com Timelines and are waiting for NOA2s, or have recently received a NOA2.

I try to update the thread three times a week, on Monday/Wednesday/Friday; as my schedule allows.

What are you looking for specifically? The latest list? Or the process on how I generate the list?

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsReplacement Receipt Notice - Hardcopy Finally In Hand.
Ok, if there is a RECEIVED DATE - use that. Some mail gets delivered on the same day, some mail takes months.

If there is only a PRIORITY DATE, then I would use that.

The NOTICE DATE is most definitely useless, except for determining when the I-797C was printed out.
bszoom42FemaleIndia2007-08-10 16:28:00
K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsReplacement Receipt Notice - Hardcopy Finally In Hand.
With the I-797C (NOA1) and I-797 (NOA2) there are a bunch of dates that makes it confusing.

The NOTICE DATE is simply the date your I-797C was printed.

On the I-797 (NOA2), the date that is important is the first date listed in the date range of the petition Validity. For example, "Valid from 07/09/2007 to 11/09/2007" means that 07/09/2007 is the NOA2 date. That is the date that should be entered in the VisaJourney.com timeline. The RECEIPT DATE is simply the date your I-797C was printed; and the NOTICE DATE is simply the date your I-797 was printed.

And when I say "prioritized by" i simply mean that is the date your case is filed by; and when you look at the timelines they publish, if the set amount of time has elapsed from that date and you have not had a response, you can call them and get better information; or escallate to a congress person.

Please don't confuse that with VISA priority dates, which is a totally different thing.
