Philippinesthis so bs this so so bad! ao upset what is going on

What exactly did they need to be signed by your parents? You are over 18, right? So I dont understand why your parents need to be signing anything. Let me know because at some point when they finally f'in approve my petition, my fiance will need to go to the CFO in Cebu.

Cebu is the strictest, if she is 18 to 21 she will need parental consent, 21 to 25 she will need parental advice, just have a lawyer make a affidavit, also include permission to travel abroad and leave the Philippines on the same affidavit. Both parents must sign, and have 2 witnesses. Just did this in Cebu last month, because she did not have a affidavit, caused another trip to Cebu. When the CFO had the affidavit, then they issued the CFO cert.

No it will always be a pain in the butt, they will wind up picking one first name, and 1 middle name to use and dropping the others. Some things are better left in the Philippines, the name thing is one of them.

PhilippinesReport her or Not?
I would just mind my own business. Maria has 2 kids when she meets some guy on the internet, and they fall in love. He comes to the Philippines for 3 weeks and they get married. He goes back to his country and expects her to put her life on hold and wait for a visa. The man is either stupid or just dumb, maybe both. If the woman is sexually active when you meet her, then you need to assume she will continue to be sexually active when you leave, and accept that fact.

PhilippinesLess and Less Communication
Don't get up tight. It is ok if you are 15-20+ years older than your wife. If your a old guy married to a young beautiful Filipina, then be proud, nothing wrong with that. One reason that she married you is because she believes that older men are more likely to desire a committed relationship. We were discussing infidelity in a relationship. The fact is as we get older and over 45 the odds of a man cheating in a relationship goes down with age.

Maybe your right about, maybe Im acting too mad or bothered about this. I thinking you have some good
point about some of what you said. Im really confuse about what to do now.
Im thinking maybe Im give in him some freedom about what hes going to do there when Im not there ?
Other post have also good advice, but always wants to end this relationship. This is the only so far
thats seems maybe gonna be good marriage after.

Wish Im gonna make a decision about and not keep going back and forth. If this post is not going to
happen then Im decision was to not marry this person, now Im thinking about if Im to do that.

Now Im just pray and hope make right choice.

You must remember that everyone on here giving you advice had to go half way around the world to find someone willing to marry them.

PhilippinesLess and Less Communication
I would not be so quick to make a decision to dump the guy. It happens all the time, a man goes to another country and meets a woman and spends a few days or a few weeks with her, then comes home and files for a visa. He don't really know her, he would never agree to marry someone in his own country after being with someone for that amount of time. Kind of what a fiance visa is for, to allow the two of you to be together for 90 days, then at the end of that period together get married or not get married. The visa gives you a little more time to make that decision to spent your life with this guy, or not. I've seen it happen several times, either the woman in the Phills or the foreign man keeps on dating other people. The guy could have lied to you and come up with another story, so he probably is being truthful about being faithful when you come here . Now you can chat online for years, but you don't really know a person until you spend a lot of time with them in person.

No, I'm not saying it is right, or that all foreign men, or all women in the Phills are unfaithful to the ones they are engaged too, but some are. Most will be faithful after they are married, some will not that is just the way it is.

PhilippinesEmbassy interview immediately following St. Luke's
Lots of people do the medical and interview the same week, or medical on Thur and Fri, and interview on Mon, because of the need to travel to Manila and stay there. My wife had her medical on Monday and Tuesday and then when for interview on Thursday the same week. She ask them when she finished the medical since her interview was Thursday would that be a problem. They told her that medical results are send to the Embassy the day after the medical is complete. So if you allow 1 day or 2 between the medical and interview it should not be a problem.

PhilippinesAnyone familiar with Smart roaming?
I'v had my Smart Pinoy sims for over 2 years, I used up the load many times, or at least not enough load left to send a text message. Don't use for voice all I do is text the PI at 10P a text, a 500P load "$12.50" will last a couple of months. A new load will expire in 120 days, but the sim will expire only after 1 year of zero balance.

If ROAM is off, you will not get a signal, if you registered your phones on the Smart site, you can turn ROAM ON online.

Go to smart`s website http://smart.com.ph/ , sign up for web connect. after signing in to web connect click on services on the left side of the screen. then click on international roaming. then activate the roaming feature. Will take about 1 hour for activation go through.

The load will expire but not the sim. Even if no load you can still receive a text. Mine is over 2 years old and going strong. Mine uses ATT, try taking the phone for a ride and see if you can get a signal. When you start up the phone does it search for a network, could be a phone problem also I guess.

PhilippinesUSC going to Manila
The Philippines requires you to have a outward ticket to inter the country, I've been there 50 times and customs only checked my ticket a few times. However the airline may will not let you on board in the US, unless you have an onward ticket.

Vaccines are not required, but I always get up to date on Typhoid, Hepatitis A and B.

They have many 2GO branches all over the Philippines, if delivery is not in Manila or a bigger town, then they send the package to the nearest branch to the delivery point. Could go from Manila to closest city with airport, then to closest town to delivery. Ours took 15 days from embassy approval.

PhilippinesWaiver of Exclusion Question

My wife is trying to get a ticket to visit the Philippines with our 2 infants. I am not able to travel with her because of work.

The lady at the airlines said that since my wife has a Philippines passport and our kids have US passports that I would have to get a "waiver of exclusion" from the Philippine Consulate for each kid since I am not traveling with them and they are US citizens. The waiver of exclusion gives them my permission to travel.

Is this true? If so does anyone have any advice. I looked up info here http://www.philippin...ervices/WEG.htm and I can't make heads or tails of it.

Thanks

I think you only need a waiver of exclusion if minor children are traveling without a parent. If your wife is the birth mother then I don't think you need this.

EATING DOGS is a FILIPINO tradition 'thing'?? Where the heck did you learn that???fc]

Guess the first time I was told this was sitting in a restaurant in Baguio City about 1975, looking at the menu I asked the waiter what is Asocena? He said, "That is Aso, dog, it is a traditional dish here it will warm you up". I said no thanks, it's warm outside today! He he.

Well living in a part of the country that is considered exremely poor even to the Filipinos iyam(dog) is not only eaten, its a celebratory food. They cook it for birthdays, fiesta, etc... Most people here cant afford to buy a lechon. They actually get a dog and feed it and raise it just to eat it for a special occasion. I'll have you know that dog is absolutely delicious. Dont knock it til you try it! Seriously, tastes like beef.

Yeah I have seen dog served at a wedding, I have probably eat dog just did not know it. Don't think being poor or can't afford other meats has a lot to do with it, just a tradition thing i think. If I had to, guess I rather eat dog compared to grilled chicken guts!, he he.

PhilippinesWhat to do?
Just to many missing details,

1. The OP finds a email on his wife Ipad she sent to a man. The OP don't know who this man is but thinks he is a old boyfriend. The OP found a picture of a man and her and she typed the words I love you, not clear if these words was in the email or a caption on the picture.

2. He confronted her about this email and she says that the man is a old friend, he did not believe her.

3. He talked to her at length about this and did not get the answers he needed to hear, so he kicked her out.

Based on these facts people have called this woman, a cheater, a scammer, and a liar.

Greg, I wish you would come and let us know what other things if any you found out that led to you kicking your wife out. Did you find that she does have a boyfriend and planning to be with him? I would like to know more if your willing to share that. Because the information you have provided up to now makes you look a little paranoid.

PhilippinesWhat to do?

I found an email on her IPAD that she sent to this guy. It had skype screens shots of him and a couple of her and she typed I LOVE YOU!. Pretty cut and dried about what she did.
I asked her how long this had been going on and never got a straight answer.

There is a hell of a lot difference in, if you love someone and being in love with someone. How about finding out how long she has known this guy? Maybe he is a lifelong friend, yeah maybe he was her boyfriend at one time, but maybe she still loves him as a friend now. My wife is in the Leyte right now having a going away party for her friends, most she known since before kindergarten days. Some are pinoys, I very sure she loves them all, and will miss them a lot when she is gone.

But you are ready to dump your wife because you found a skype screen where she told someone she loved them? She is with you, she left all her friends, her family, all that she knows to be with you. Don't this fact tell you something? If all you have in the way of evidence that she is having some kind of online affair is what you say, then you should be ashamed of yourself. Filipinas are not going to argue with you, if you pressure her for answers and details after she told you that she loves you and wants to be with you, then she will just close down and go into a quite mode. Her silence is her culture, she will go into tampo and wait for you to use your eyes and not your mouth.

I just love it people say, "send her home" like she is a piece of luggage. In America there is divorce, and she gets 50%.

Sit her down, tell her that you love her, and how what she did hurts you. Try to find out a few more facts if this old boyfriend is now just a friend or something else. If she is only in USA for 9 months then she is still going thru a lot adjusting to her new life. She misses everything about the Philippines, her friends and family most of all. The first thing you probably want to do is take the internet away from her, the internet is a connection to the world she left behind, and that is the last thing you want to do is pull the plug on that.

Lots of people think they are living in a perfect world, that people get married because both are crazy in love with each other. I guess this happens sometimes, but most times love is there in the beginning and with time one day, then they are crazy in love with each other!

If this is it her saying "I love you" to a person on the internet then your making a mountain out of a mole hill. If you love her then try to work things out, wait and find out what is going on inside her head instead of what you think is going on. Yeah I know you been in a bad marriage before, lot of us have, but if you call what you described as cheating then get divorced and stay single, cause you are just not cut out for married life.

PhilippinesCFO Seminar Help

Ok here it goes. My fiance is going to the CFO seminar next week and I am looking at the requirements of it. Basically it says she needs a copy of the Immigrant Data Summary. I am trying to figure out what it is. Please someone help me out here.

She will not be able to get her sticker until after she gets her visa, the Immigrant Data Summary is the cover sheet on the Visa packet she will get when they deliver her visa.

For the seminar this is what you need for Cebu.

Requirements for Attendance to Guidance and Counseling Program

Two (2) valid identification cards (IDs) with photograph;
Duly completed guidance and counseling form;
If married, certified true copy and photocopy of marriage contract on security paper from the National Statistics Office, or Local Civil Registry Offices; or original and photocopy of marriage contract duly authenticated by the Philippine Embassy/ Consulate (if married abroad)
Other documents as may be required by the counselors; and
Payment of P250.00 counseling fee.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here is what other documents can be, they may ask for this, at Cebu they probably will ask for this: Yeah they are required, if you can't provide them when asked then no certificate until you do provide them.

1. Original and Photocopy of Birth Certificate (From NSO or CTC from Local Civil Registrar duly authenticated by NSO).
2. Photocopy of Birth Certificate of Husband/Fiancee.
3. Photocopy of Passport of Husband/Fiancee.
4. Photocopy of a Divorce Decree of husband, if he is divorced.
5. Photocopy of Proof of Singleness of Fiancee {CENOMAR).
6. Photocopy or copy of picture together (you and your husband/fiancee.
7. If under 23 years of age a notarized/certified letter from parents giving permission to leave the Philippines, even if married in the Philippines.
8. If a fiancee is 18 to 21 a parental consent affidavit and letter from parents giving permission to leave the Philippines.
9. If a fiancee is 22 to 25 a parental advise affidavit and if under 23 a letter from parents giving permission to leave the Philippines.

Also you need to know about your husband/fiancee complete name, birthday, address, mother's family name, how many times he/she got married/divorced (reason of divorced), how many children he had (if there is any), kind of work/job/salary, address of workplace, husband/fiance's educational attainment, course, when, where and how did you met, etc. Be sure to be able to text husband/fiancee for other information they may ask.

PhilippinesMedical and TB exposure history

I was wondering, does the follow up sputum test only get scheduled due to the X-ray results, or can it be required if one has had exposure (like a family member has had it) even if the x-ray is clear?

Sputum test is ordered if x-ray results show a scar or spot on the lungs, or symptoms of TB are present. Being exposed to TB will not trigger a sputum test alone.

Any avice on how you did this?
