K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresRejection Notice. One or more of the following field(s) were not completed: 'Part B Address'

Well, I live in Baden-Wuerttemberg and I wrote "Baden-Wuerttemberg" if there was enough space. If not, I wrote "BW". I was also very worried about this and looked up the official abbreviation to be on the safe side. Everything went fine. I got my interview appointment yesterday. I wouldn't worry too much. Easier said than done, I know :). Good luck!

I hope I get as lucky :-) I wanted to write Rhineland-Palatinate, the english term for the state Rheinland-Pfalz. I hope we get our NOA1 and NOA2 without any problems, it's just that I put RLP twice and didn't write it out. Maybe in your case they saw you wrote it out and then figured the abbreviation...we'll see. But thanks for sharing your experience and congrats on the interview date

Yep! I'd look through your package to see if you abbreviated anything else that might confuse someone reading it. Other than that, just make your corrections and send everything else in the same as it is.

Thank you. I realized the same abb. is on my G-325A, so do I have to correct it on a new form, sign it and send to my fiance in the U.S.?

I honestly don't know, but I think you should be prepared for it to happen. Fill out new forms as soon as possible and write everything out in full. Don't panic. :) I am just saying, if I were a random adjudicator, I would have no idea what RLP meant.

You're right, like I said, I went by the example forms and thus assumed it would be OK to abbreviate State or Province, as long as Country etc. was written out in full. So I could just correct p.2 of I-129F but send in again all the other original pages and forms?

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresRejection Notice. One or more of the following field(s) were not completed: 'Part B Address'

I wouldn't be surprised if this ended up being a problem. It doesn't really matter what it's abbreviated to in your country. You're writing it for a random person to read.

:( Thank you for being honest. Man I could kick myself right now. I'm just confused since the example form on here abbreviates it too in the State or Province line. Not for Germany, but Australia, but it states NSW, so that's an abbreviation as well...

So do you think we should expect to get the package back in the mail? We haven't received any notification yet nor was the check cashed.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresRejection Notice. One or more of the following field(s) were not completed: 'Part B Address'

As long as it's an obvious one yes. For instance the G-325A for the months I wrote "JAN", "JUN" and "AUG" etc those are obvious. Hopefully this time you'll be fine.

Let us know how you go

Thank you, I hope so too. I abbreviated the months too, that's how it was on the example form and I checked back and on the I-129F example form, in Part B when it asks State/Country, it says Australia (so I put only GERMANY) and when it asks for State or Province in Question 15, it says NSW (so an abbreviation as well, that's why I put RLP). I thought the example forms where pretty trustworthy *sigh*

Thank you for your help, I'll keep you posted. If everything went fine, we should get something in the next few days...unfortunately the servers at my fiancé's bank are down and so he wasn't able to check if the cash was checked since Jan 14th

Yeah you have to pretend that you're dealing with a moron (sometimes that's not hard during the process :S). Explain everything. Shorten nothing. For instance, I am from Victoria, Australia. We personally write "VIC" but I still write out Victoria when mailing stuff home. Heck, I usually write "road" and "street" instead of "rd" and "st" when dealing with official stuff too.

Have you ever ordered something online and when you enter the shipping address a little window pops up to "correct" your address? Think of it like that. You need to enter fields that a computer would understand and easily "translate".

Darn, now I'm even more scared. I hope it'll be fine, maybe we'll get lucky and the person reviewing our case won't be as nit-picky. There's still a chance that they'll accept it with an abbreviation though, right? With lots of luck, maybe...

Random qn.. why is your flag German when you're saying the beneficiary is in the UK?

Questions answered above in red

When sending letters to Germany you don't really need state or province, just the zip code and city, so I abbreviated RLP for Rhineland-Palatinate in Question 15, as it is also abbreviated like that here in Germany sometimes. Do you think that'll pose a problem too? In Question 2 when it asks for State or country, I only put Germany. I'm so scared now to get our application returned as well because of a minor thing like this. Damn...

Did you send the correct fee? If the check hasn't been cashed yet and you didn't get an e-notification either, there might be something wrong with the petition and you might get it back in the mail with a rejection notice telling you what exactly to correct and then to re-file. I hope for you you get your NOA1 soon though! :)

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresCan I use Texas Center instead of California?

Aaargh! Thanks. Anyone have an address in Texas where I can move for the next 5 or six months until this is approved??? (kidding) Who knows, if the CSC is so backlogged, maybe they'll just keep it in Texas to begin with. I can dream, anyway.

:)

The Dallas Lockbox does not equal TSC. As people before me said TSC does not process I-129F petitions anymore, so you will get redirected to either VSC or CSC for sure ;)

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresJust Received I-797C

Apparently I didn't use the correct I-129f form? I used one dated 05/23/06, when it should have been 07/30/07. Darn! :bonk:

"The application/petition was filed on an outdated version of this form. Please resubmit your application/petition on the current version of this form with the appropriate fees to the USCIS address listed on the bottom on this notice."

They stamped my check, in the area of "Pay to the Order of," with their U.S. Department of Homeland Security stamp. Should I use that one still, or just write a new check?

All of the forms & supporting evidence that I provided, has been scanned, on the right side of the documents. Can I still use these documents? Obviously I'll provide a new I-129f form, with the latest, correct one.

Also, I realized just after sending it, before getting this notice, that I should have put her SSN on her G-325A. When I resubmit, is it ok if any of the info has been modified or added to, in order to provide a more accurate petition? I'll have her do a complete different G-325A obviously, but will have her include her SSN this time.

Any feedback, much appreciated!

I assume you're the petitioner and your fiancée is the beneficiary, so on her G-325A you do not provide a social security number as the G-325A explicitly asks for the U.S. social security number and I assume your fiancée doesn't have one..? You don't supply the social security number that she has in her country, only the U.S. one, if any, as the form states. If she doesn't, put "None".

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresTraveling while waiting

I strongly suggest you to be honest and tell that you're going to visit your fiancèe. I've always said the truth in 7 times, and in 7 times the most I was asked (2 times) if I had a return ticket with me and my ESTA. To hide the fact that you have a relationship with a US citizen by simply saying "you're on holiday" is not an advisable and smart move...good luck

Yeah that's exactly what I've been thinking but as you see there is conflicting opinions about this, as others say not too offer too much information and only drop the word "fiance" if specifically asked about it. I will just say "visiting my fiance" though...I am staying for only 11 days and I will have:

- copy of the NOA1
- copy of the 1-129F package
- return ticket/itinerary
- certificate of enrollment at university
- official letter stating the approval of the topic for my bachelor's thesis, and that I am required to turn it in by June 22nd
- copy of schedule for my semester (bachelor's thesis deadline + final oral exam date that I need to take in order to graduate)
- latest bank statement (proof of funds and bank account in Germany)

You all think that's enough? (I live with my mom so no lease agreement...)

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresTraveling while waiting

Read my post about my experience, I have visited twice this year, no problems. Be truthful, but you don't need to give unnecessary information away, e.g. when asked the purpose of your trip answer you are on holiday, which is true, you dont need to tell them that you are visiting your fiance unless asked! :)

see:

http://www.visajourn..._1#entry4632511

I'm flying out to JFK this Friday to visit my fiance for 11 days. If asked purpose of visit I'm still not sure whether to say"vacation" or "to visit my fiance"...is it really OK to say vacation? I don't want them to think I was lying if they ask further and find out I am staying with my fiance...I am so nervous once again, it'll be my first visit since we filed in January.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresVisa Approved but question

Hi Everyone,

My Fiance's visa was approved today! We are really happy. However when she was at the US Embassy in Cairo, the person at the Window (before the Consular) asked her if she could leave before June. My Fiance said yes... then the Consular approved her and said she would get the Visa in 10 days.

1) Today being the 22 of May, in 10 days that's June 1.

2) Do you think we should buy her ticket to come now? or when Visa is in hand?

3) has anyone had to deal with this before? Our original Interview date was back in Jan 30 but because the Egyptian Revolution - she just had it today. What is the usual expiration date on the Visa?

Anyways - we're really happy... just a bit confused and trying to make the best plan moving forward.

Your fiance has 6 months to enter the US, as the K1 is valid for 6 months. Hope that helps.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresA# - None, N/A or blank?

Hello,
I couldn't find a definitive answer to these questions on previous forum posts. So please excuse me if I'm asking repetitive questions.

For each of the below items, should I put none, N/A, or leave blank?
1) On I129-F, "8b. A#" for the petitioner
2) On I129-F, "9. A#" for beneficiary (He does not have an A#)
3) On G325a for petitioner, "File Number" at top
4) On G325a for petitioner, "Alien Registration Number" at bottom
3) On G325a for beneficiary, "File Number" at top (He does not have an A#)
4) On G325a for beneficiary, "Alien Registration Number" at bottom (He does not have an A#)

Thanks!

If the answer is None, put None. That's what we did and we got approved without an RFE. It's always better to not leave anything blank...

Sounds like it (looks rather plain) - has additional translations on the back too I believe. It just save you the trouble of having to translate it for USCIS in a few months.

Yep, looks very plain and on the back it has the according translations in detail, from number 1 to 11. I got those last year already, might get another copy just in case? Does Frankfurt keep a copy after the interview?

While you're waiting :star: - about the birth certificate.

If you haven't already, I would encourage you to obtain the international version of your BC - it is easy (cost 7 Euro I believe) and will save you time and effort once you are in the US and doing your Adjustment of Status.

I am pretty sure I have it. It's in German/French/English, and I got two copies. It says Auszug aus dem Geburtseintrag and Extract from birth registration, listing my DOB, place of birth, name, and my parents' names.

Is that the correct one?

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresNVC to US Consulate in Germany

I wouldn't worry - cases are sent in batches (vs individually) so your case may/may-not have left the building on Friday. I would suspect you'll hear something in the next few days - the Frankfurt Consulate is very efficient (no surprise).

I would focus on getting ready for the interview - i.e., prepare for the medical - gather necessary forms etc.

*Monday is a US holiday - not certain if the Consulate is open that day or not.

That is why I am surprised, because I have heard that Frankfurt is fast and efficient, so I am surprised that it's not in their system yet. I guess I will call on Tuesday between 2-4PM, and hopefully they have it by then.

I have filled out and printed most forms, have all the information from my fiance (I-134 and supporting documents), have ordered the police certificate a week ago (should arrive next week), I have my birth certificate, and I was thinking as soon as they have my case I will go to the medical, since no appointment is needed in Frankfurt and I can just walk in very early in the morning and get it done with. I already got all necessary vaccinations beginning of this year.

So that's what I'm waiting for right now

Yeah, I did too. There was a packet sent out to Germany on both Friday and Monday, and both were delivered already. So I dunno. I am getting worried cause NVC told my fiance our petition was forwarded to the US Embassy in Germany on Friday, May 20 and when I contacted the Embassy today, they told me the case has not been received yet. Is that normal? When I look at other timelines it usually takes 3-5 days. I am worried that the petition got lost somehow. :(

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresK1 visa forms update

Make sure you have deleted the old one from your hard drive, and try clearing the browser cache. I've had issues before with online pdfs being updated. They get stuck somewhere in the browser cache, and sometimes won't clear properly. Worst case, try someone else's computer.

Here's the link to the description page to the form, which includes the same pdf link you posted. Notice the edition date says "05/25/2011" (this is when it was made, not when it expires - expiration date is 5/31/2012).

http://www.uscis.gov/i-134

It says "Edition Date : 05/25/2011. Previous editions accepted." though. My fiance filled it out and sent it to me end of May, so I can still use that old version, right?

I just replied to another topic asking the exact same thing:

Just use this one and ignore the expiration date. As long as they don't update it this is the form to use. I specifically asked my Consulate and they said "don't worry about expiration date". If you wanna make sure the Consulate accepts it, maybe call them and confirm? That's what I did.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduresworst day ever

hi guys.
i had today my k1 visa interview in frankfurt germany. and first everything went fine and during the interview as well and suddenly the officer said, that my fiance doesnt make enough money.
yeah he didnt quite hit the tax minimum but we got job letter from his second job and we were able to show he increased his income like a lot. this year tax retrun he gonna hit the minimum way over. but still for the officer it wasnt enough.
she told me we need a co sponsor, fill out the paper send them in and i get my visa.
our problem is just we so dont find a co sponsor. so not really a change for us.
my question is how long do we have to if god helps us find a co sponsor or show the new tax return??? cuz we dont wanna apply for the WHOLE k1 visa again.
can someone let me know do we have a year or less ???

we a lil desperate right now and my mood aint the best.
im really and very thankful for any advise or help. thank you all so much

Hi! can I ask how much your fiance's income is right now? And how much he would've hit over? Cause my fiance is a $1,000 over the minimum and I am worried now that that won't be enough...?

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresLength of time of relationship

Hello - please pardon my ignorance but most post I have read regarding proof of relationship for the USA talks about photos, emails etc..over the last 2 years. Is that the length of time you have to be together to qualify for a K-1 Fiance(e) visa??? What if you meet the love of your life and know from day one that you have found this person and get engaged within a week of meeting. Has anyone posted something similar? My friends have met and were married within 3 months - it does happen in the real world.

No, the requirement is that you must have met your fiancé(e) in person in the two years prior to the filing of the petition. So if you meet, get engaged, and file the petition a few weeks or months later the requirement is technically fulfilled. Of course, then you need proof of that meeting such as boarding passes, passport stamps, bus/train tickets, hotel receipts etc. and photots, emails etc. are secondary evidence which are mostly used to establish ongoing and bonafide relationship.

So, no, you do not need to be in a relationship for two years in order to file ;)

3 - 10 days? I'm not a drug doer, but I'll guess that it must have been a while since you moved up to the crack pipe and you dont recall the turnaround times on weed. Or it was you that got duped on whatever you were buying. LOL. You're funny.

Wow, how nice. When I read this forum I simply did some research on the Internet cause I was curious and most websites said exactly that thing. Single time use or infrequent use should be out of the body after a short time. Only for frequent, daily users it stays in the body for long. But thanks for the sarcasm. Appreciate it

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedurescan he be denied?

hi vj, i'm just devastated right now, just finished my medical and one of my sons admitted during his medical, trying cannibas once a couple months back. i'm so hurt and disappointed, he is only 14. i had no idea of this, until she gave the paper to do the urine test on him. the lady in the lab told me he wil only be denied if his test comes back positive which will mean if he had any in the past six months. is this so? have anyone been admitted to trying weed and still get their visa?

Well if he really only will be denied if he doesn't pass the drug test he should be fine, but if the lady put down his answer that of course it will be up to the Consular officer. If your son really only had marijuana once, two months ago, it won't be detectable. Usually it should've been out of his system after 3-10 days tops, so that's not true what the lady said that the test will come positive if he had any in the past 6 months. He should definitely test clear, and if not, than he had cannabis way more recently than he admitted.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresI-129F showing income?

I have been living in Mexico on a tourist visa with my Mexican Fiance and going back to the U.S. to renew it. When starting the I-129F package I asked my attorney if I need to prove income or if I can't do I need to have someone to sign off and say the will support me and my Mexican Fiance.. she told us no. I see things here and there that say I do need to show. I don't work, nor have I ever had a job. My fiance who I am filing for supports me.
Do I need to show income? If so when do I show it, when the package is sent it or at interview? How do I show it..
Thanks

I would strongly recommend you educate yourself on the whole K1 visa process, as your lawyer either has no clue what she is doing or she is screwing with you. I'm sorry but from what I've gathered from your posts so far, your lawyer does not sound very trustworthy. So, read up on the process which you can start by going here http://www.visajourn.../content/guides and read through the K1 guide and flowchart. After that, try talking to your lawyer again and if she tries feeding you any more lies I would seriously consider filing a new petition yourself (as I am starting to assume your lawyer never actually did that). Good luck!! :)
