Ask for manager from the first level customer support, tell them you wish to have a request put in with IT...IT will not ever talk to you. The second level manager that can look up the info on the internal system can verify the petition status and put in the request with IT. Do not ask to be transfered to IT, as they will likely just say they do not do that and not listen to you from there on out. Thanks for the clarification will do! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	January 2011 Filers!!!	The first level customer service will not be able to see it. He needs to ask to speak to a manager and they will have access to the system that has the information. Specifically tell them you need to put in a request with IT to fix the issue of it not showing up online and the second person should be able to help with that. They will give a ticket number and tell you likely it will be 15 calendar days to fix it. Interesting! Thanks for the info! We are still not able to view our status online either, my fiance called last week but they only told them they are aware of the problem and it will be there eventually So I'll make him call again soon and ask to be transferred to IT. We are crossing the 30 day mark on the 18th, so I'm thinking to wait 30+ days too before sending an email. Probably on Monday next week. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	January 2011 Filers!!!	Did you guys have any luck calling them? I just tried calling that 800 number and I wasn't able to get anywhere. It just tells me that my case was not found. That's the same thing that the web page tells me. I think we are fine and just need to wait a little bit longer, but,,, I would feel a lot better if it didn't say 'not found'. DOH!!! Well Angelo called them this morning and he spoke to a very nice lady who told him that they are having problems at both CSC and VSC to make online updates available to the public but they are working on it and we should be able to view it online soon. She also assured him that everything is OK with the case, they have it in their system but we simply can't access it yet. Hmpf.. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	January 2011 Filers!!!	I'm very interested to hear what he finds out. I cannot see my case online either. Maybe I'll call the number tomorrow too. The 'case checking' computer (???) said it was down for updates and maintenance all weekend. I was really hoping that our cases would magically appear once everything was back up and running... LOL I was hoping the exact same thing!! Well I'll have him call tomorrow. We are both NOA1 on the 18th and there are two with NOA1 on the 20th and 21st who can apparently check theirs. It's just driving me crazy that it's not there, making me worry that they have displaced our case or something. I just need someone to look at our case number and tell us they have our petition, and simply need more time to put it online or something. I see in the January timeline that there are two VSC filers who got their NOA1 date after us and they report touches, meaning they are apparently able to check on their case status online and we still can't Now that is messing with my head and makes me worry, so I would like for my fiance to call them up tomorrow. I hope that they get the additional paperwork and can put it with your petition, since it hasn't been so long since you filed it is maybe not buried under loads of other applications yet. Or maybe they put a note into their system that once your application is pulled they will be able to assign the additional info. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	January 2011 Filers!!!	OK, so this weekend I found an error on my forms I submitted. The type of error that well, is really really bad as it looks like I purposely left off information if they pulled my records. The type of error they do not issue an RFE for, the type they deny. So, this weekend I corrected my forms, wrote a letter and got around all the documentation to mail in, and included a copy of my I-797C. I called this morning because I was hoping they could put a note in the computer that a package was on the way with corrections, so the adjudicator when they got to my file would expect it there, and if it wasn't there look for it. The lady didn't even ask for my receipt number, didn't want it, wanted to ask me a ton of bogus questions even after I explained the situation, like she had this list of questions, and since mine wasn't on her script...her response was, well just send it to the address on the I-797C...duhhhhh, already knew that. So I put everything in the mail over lunch and they will get this tomorrow. My worry is this paperwork will get misplaced and the original petition will be looked at without this revision, and look as though I concealed information that in all honesty, was forgot about. Any words of wisdom?? Maybe you'll get "lucky" and get an RFE after all, do they really flat out deny petitions for errors? Even if it might look like you purposefully left out information, they might still give you a chance to rectify it by sending an RFE. You sure it doesn't look like an accidental error/misunderstanding that they might inquire about first before denial of the petition? I wish you the best of luck that the papers make it to your petition!! I agree with Diana, their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I get that they are busy, but in a lot of cases I think they would actually save time and also have it easier themselves if they offered better customer service. Hope all the January filers are having a great Monday! I still have no access to our case online, I will wait until it has been 30 days and if still nothing, I'll try and call customer service, lol Oh and I LOVE how active VSC is at the moment. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	January 2011 Filers!!!	Ok everyone. I was talking to Edouardo this morning about my upcoming trip. I went to see if we could finally see our case status online. Well, much to my surprise......We are in Post Decision Activity and our I129f has been approved! This is such a blessing to our family. Honestly, I didnt want to post anything on here because I feel bad. I love that we got approved but I dont like the fact that others have been waiting up to 7 months for the same process. I know for timeline purposes I have to update mine, but I decided to tell you all first. I pray that everyone's process is smooth and as speedy as possible. Now to wrap my head around all this stuff I wasn't expecting to do until Spring/Summer. God Bless. Wow that's great! I guess it does have something to do that your fiance is from Haiti! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	January 2011 Filers!!!	Has anyone else ever read through some post on the forum only to find someone mentioning a mistake, or an issue they had, and it starts you (and worse your fiance') into a downward spiral of worrying? In that irrational way of: 'I can't do anything about this, and I don't even know if it will be an issue'. That's kind of where we're at today. Nothing I want to discuss details on really, but it's stressful. Hopefully it dies down and in a few days I'll go back to the whole 'we'll deal with problems if they come up and not worry about them until then' mentality. I know exactly what you mean, and probably most of us do. On some days it's simply harder to stay optimistic and confident...remember when one January filer got their package sent back due to an abbreviation in the State/Province line? And I was so sure we would get ours back too since I abbreviated something in that line as well...and I am still worried we might get an RFE over it, but I realized I can't spent the next 5 months or more obsessing and stressing over this. Gotta go against my nature and try to calm down, I always stress waaay too easily but in the end, we'll deal with it when, IF, something comes up. I hope you'll feel better and relaxed soon again, we're all in this together as everyone said and I'm sure if any one of us encounters any kind of problems, VJ will have a solution. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	January 2011 Filers!!!	Well, toward the beginning of the year both processing centers were faster. They have both slowed down. I would plan on a 5 month wait at this point, from either. Not to be negative, just trying to set realistic expectations based on the data and statistics I have ran. Nice thing is, I do believe it is improving somewhat, but I will not be able to confirm that gut feeling until the publish the numbers for December and January. Keep the faith, it will happen!!! To be honest, I'd be more than happy with that! To me that would be positive and not negative at this moment, as most are waiting way over 5, up to 6 or 7 months from VSC to have their petitions approved, so if it turns out to be in June that we are approved, I will be so happy Of course, we might get lucky and they start getting back to where they were a year ago, but right now I'd be more than happy with an "only" 5 months wait. If your NOA1 date is January 20th, and they say you won't be able to check status until February 20th, it means: Wait a month before calling us back. (And my translation is: It'll probably be fixed in the next 30 days, so ####### off for a while and leave us alone) LOL. You're probably right. Have you been able to check it right away after you got your e-notification? I think everyone who got it after the 18th routed to VSC has not been able to access online case status.. It also gets rid of the physical stuff that can make a person blind to a relationship. Sorry in a dorky mood today.....think i had to much coffee! I totally agree!! Like I just wrote in my last post, my baby and I just shared one kiss on our first meeting and then spent 6 months apart just talking every day, getting to know each other, before anything physical happened. I think it was much more special that way, and wouldn't have it any other way even though it was difficult waiting 6 months to be able to actually be with him, being in love like that. LOL My avatar was sitting on a pixel log and this pixel avatar sat beside me We started talking and became friends. I, for some reason, thought I wouldn't engage in any online dating and even went back to a dreadful exBF of mine... I couldn´t stop thinking of Chris... just couldn´t.. and to all fairness to every party involved I finished that relationship weeks after it re-started. Chris and I started talking more and more after that untill one day.. he catched me and I catched him. We found ourselves deeply inlove...and our online relationship started May 10th 2010. Speaking for at least 5 hours a day, not wanting to hang up skype... sleeping with our mics on, texting on yahoo while he was in class and I was at work... (we still do all that ). He came for the first time Sept. 2010 to spend my birthday with me just 20 days after he graduated (He couldn't wait, we couldn't wait). That was the only thing that kept him from coming earlier, his studies. He came back december, had our engagement dinner, finished off the papers and he sent them 2 days after going back to the USA. (See, that's why we didnt know about the fee changing... end of november and december I was focused on him coming and being here ) And so it is... to confirm what you have said. "When you know, you know..." Never have I, in my 25 years of existence, been so deeply inlove and felt so loved. Sorry If I make it confusing sometimes, I think in spanish and write in english. LOL Diana! Reading others' stories brings a smile to my face. Most of my friends don't understand how I can be in a LDR and be so sure that this man is the love of my life after I have only physically spent a few weeks with each other. It's so encouraging to read stories like this one. Beautiful Well, I'm gonna jump on the bandwagon then. Angelo and I met in August 2009 in Greece, when I was visiting friends and he was visiting his sister, who was also one of my friends. We instantly connected and sought out each other's company, always sitting next to each other at the dinner table, lying next to each other on the beach, texting each other throughout the day...two days after we met it was his birthday and he wrote me a text: "It wouldn't be hard to fall in love with you." and I wasn't sure until than if he really actually liked me, or was just being friendly, but then I suspected something...and the next night we were all at a tavern drinking and we sat next to each other and he texted me that he wanted to kiss me. But actually we couldn't do anything since his sister didn't approve of us and some of their greek family members were there who didn't approve also due to the age difference (I was 21, he was 31). But we managed to sneak in a kiss when he went to the bathroom ad I followed him and well... But other than that we just talked or texted, we didn't wanna upset anybody and after a week I left to meet up with my mom and aunt to go to a greek island and Angelo went back home. We stayed in touch every day after that, texting (we both have iPhones so we can use a chat application through which we can basically text for free, as we both have data flats), talking on the phone for hours (again, we both have international call plans so it's like 4$ a month...I love modern technology ), Skype, sending each other pictures of our days, and videos...and we fell in love and decided to be exclusive by the end of September 2009, pretty fast! I am usually a person that doesn't fall very fast, I had only been in one 3-year relationship before and got disappointed but Angelo was so perfect, you can really see his good and kind soul when you look into his eyes and I knew that was it So the next time I saw him was in March 2010 for two weeks on my semester break and it was even more perfect than I could've imagined. He proposed to me the first night there because he just couldn't wait to ask me whether I wanted to be his wifey Yeah, so after that another 5 months apart until Angelo came for two weeks in August, and when he left early September I followed him to the U.S. a week after to spend 6 weeks with him, our longest time together so far! I had to leave in October again to start my last year of college, but went back in December to spent the holidays and my birthday with him While I was there I prepared the petition so he could send it off right after I left...that's our story so far Angelo is coming here in March for another two weeks, because 8 months apart until September were just too cruel to think about. I don't know about you but i'm struggling more and more with keeping my focus on work. Even though my boss is so awesome I'm having troubles keeping focused. Somehow knowing that I'm done, and that Canada wont be my home much longer, sure does force me to have to MAKE myself work! Nope, I'm in my last year of college so I have a few classes and seminars every week, but most work is done at home anyway and I'm my own boss. Ok, I have deadlines but that's in March and feels soooo far away right now I can't wait to be done with college and be with my honey. Also, it's 9PM in Germany right now I'm done for the day... Hubby is working for his dad ATM, so he kinda just tells him... LOL He is lucky to have that to his advantage. I wish I could take everybody with me.. but the embassy here is such a pain to give travelers visas... cuz, ya know... half of Guatemala is already over there illegal (Kinda kidding... kinda LOL) Ive made my peace of mind over it... we will have some sort of family dinner here before we leave... and yeah, ive cried a couple of times over it... but life is like that, we have to fly away and make our own way.. and my parents understand that... gladly. *hugs* everything will be awesome, im sure... we are ALL getting married this year.. HAVE FAITH! Mine is working for his dad too, but it's a different mentality. they are always so busy and usually hubby is the one to pick up the slack. Like I say, its not that bad, after all visa thingy lingy ends, you'll have forever and ever.. right? Hubby to be is planning in picking me up too... If i get lost in the Houston Airport I'd probably just... cry? Naaa, but Id freak out a lil xD He also said that it's best for him to be with me and my family a couple of weeks so its not hard for me to just leave them like that... all alone. Hopefully and God willingly that's the way it's gonna be. True! I just can't wait for forever to finally start, is all That's such a thoughtful idea. I wish my hubby to be could do that but work isn't allowing him too. But my parents and a few friends will join me for the wedding and stay for 1-2 weeks shortly after I fly over, so it's not such a big deal. But Im faithful that we will have a wedding this year, so thaaaat keeps me all giggly excited most of time... just looking at flowers, colors, cakes, my dress... Isin't love great and awesome????? Im so glad we all found the love of our lives. Your positive mood is contagious We were actually planning for a September 18 wedding but pushed it now to October 2. Hopefully that will work out or I probably won't make it there this year since we wanna spend Christmas with my family in Germany, and filing for AOS and thus Advance Parole anything later than the first week of October would result in the AP document not being there in time to leave the U.S. before Christmas. But then my baby would come on Christmas to pick me up and I would fly in with him on my Visa after Christmas. It wouldn't be too tragic to wait another 2.5 months but I still hope for September/October to fly over, and have some of my friends from home there, as they would not be able to come in January. I was reading a couple forums, like ours, and they were all at each others throats!! Boy am i glad we are all getting along and I hope it stays like that but I have no doubts. I'm fairly behind in my readings here and I just got caught up! I can't believe how long you guys have to wait to see your sweeties . It puts things in perspective though. The longest Jason and I have been apart is 4 weeks. We are pretty lucky as its only a 10hour drive for us. Sometimes we meet in the middle on weekends but we usually stick to once a month visits. I guess I shouldn't complain about being apart any more as there are those, many of you, that have to be apart even longer. Guess i need to give my head a shake I'm fairly confident that we will see our visa's by August! Its all about faith guys! Keep up the positive attitudes Well I'm glad we all get along in here and I have no doubt as well that that won't change Makes this process much easier and less stressful if we all get along and support each other! 4 weeks at the longest, huh, I'm envious but the way I see it when you are in love, whether you are separated from your baby for 4 weeks or 4 months, it all sucks because every single day of being apart hurts. So we are all in the same boat here I can't wait to see my baby again in 46 days. That's all I can think about right now tbh! I hope we will all be done with this process in August, that would be great and just the way I had planned it. I'd like to fly over in September visa in hand!
