I am not sure even if you if you provide a verification of employement from them for only a month of work that it will suffice. You might need a co-sponsor. Send her $50 or even a $100 so she can at least have something to eat at the airport or on the plane. I also filed in August but had the misfortune of having our file sent to CSC. I would suggest sending the AOS as soon as possible ( with income verification and 3 years of tax returns) asap. The USPS is not very reliable and the other services are rather expensive. I will go to the interview with my fiancee. YOU are the client and if in her opinion it is not needed, there is NO damage done by adding it to your petition. I would also call a few attorneys and ask what they charge for the same services that you have already received, $5800 sounds rather steep to me, and then ask your attorney for a COMPLETE billing statement of the services she has performed. This way, if you find that she has overcharged you, you will have evidence if such. You DO owe her for services performed already as long as they are not out of line with other attorneys fees. When you send it to Texas, they then aend it to Vermont or California. They do not process the petitioons in Texas, they only sort and send it to the USCIS centers. I can see why there might be some hesitation on the part of the embassy to approve the visa though. I read the article on your finace's accident. It was in Feb. 2010 and by Sept. 2010 he was engaged to you. Also as a taxpayer of this country, I have a problem with him getting disability. I am no doctor but, I can see his broken bones are healed, he has 2 arms and 2 legs, he can obviously pick up at least 50 pounds ( He has his son on his shoulders) and can lift his arms above his head. I am tired of paying taxes for people that collect taxpayers money when they can be employable.
