Middle East and North Africa	Its Monday !!!!!!!!!	Hi again Tasha, Abed calls her Malak, Mallie, Malouka, and here lately "NO!". haha. I was curious about him taking Malek by himself, Abed has been considering taking Malak to Lebanon (before all the fighting and such started) and I was kinda hesitant about letting him take her alone, maybe I'm paranoid, or maybe the constant "warnings" of well meaning folks put doubts in my mind, especially since when Malak and I went there during the summer, his mom always threatened (jokingly) to take her to Saida to one of the Pali refugee camps and I'd never see her again (she was kidding....or so she said). Anyway, he isn't going anytime soon, due to other issues, so I don't worry about it anymore, thank God. And Amanda, The pregnancy is coming right along. No major issues, I feel really good. Though I have been eating way too many sweets. With Malak, smelling something sweet made me want to hurl, but now I can't get enough of them. I need some name suggestions for our newest edition....anyone have ideas...It's going to be a girl and the first name needs to be an Arab name that American southerners won't have too hard of a time pronouncing. Middle East and North Africa	Friday-Yay!!!!	Morning everyone! Happy Friday! It is a yucky yucky day here today....rain, wind.....BLAH! We live in a horribly boring place (near Lexington, KY)...poor hubby, he gets so bored but he is taking it like a trooper. I keep telling him we won't be here forever and things will improve. I wish I knew when though, I don't like it here either. Sometimes I regret quitting my job in NC to go be with him and his family for the 3 months, maybe things would be easier on us right now- money wise and boredom wise. But then I remember his mom and grandparents, and I know I did the right thing even if it sucks right now. We found a yummy place to eat in Lexington the other day, the owners are from Jordan, but are Pali like my hubby...the food was da bomb and made me remember why I miss my mother in law so much! Amanda (Sweet Peach), baby is doing great....a little bigger than Malak was, but I have gestational diabetes and this dr isn't as strict with testing like her dr was....and I'm a lot more stressed out this time around too which doesn't help either, but all in all she is good and healthy! We think her name will be Meriem, but that is subject to change at any given moment. Congrats on the green card, by the way! I hope we get scheduled for the interview soon, I just know they are going to schedule it and it will be the day I give birth! Middle East and North Africa	Saturday MENA June 27	Amanda...congrats!....I know how you feel about the delays though, my hubby was supposed to be here around midnight on his flight date, but because of flight delays he didn't get here until the next morning...I was on pins and needles! But seeing him again and watching our daughter actually recognize him and run to him (almost) after the months apart was so moving!! I am so happy for you and your hubby! My mother-in-law had her interview for the visitor's visa this morning, we got the call about 4:30am that she was denied again....my heart sunk, and then she started laughing and screaming that they approved her! Middle East and North Africa	Monday	Good afternoon everyone! Happy Monday! I am trying my hardest to not accomplish anything at all today...so far, so good! HLM...my mother in law's visa was denied the first time because there was a lack of financial ties, that was the official reason anyway, the American male CO told my mother in law that coming to see her grandchildren wasn't a good enough reason to come to the US and denied her without looking at any other evidence (family ties, etc...). So....we applied again, in hopes of not having to spend $5000+ on a trip to Lebanon, and also had our congressman send a letter to the embassy, which may or may not have helped, or maybe the trip to Dubai to see my SIL right before the interview helped, who knows...but this time she got a female CO, who maybe was training because the supervisor was with her, and she was approved with no problem, she also asked my MIL if she had my 15 yr old BIL's passport with her, they were going to give him a visa too! I'm sure your mom will be out of the processing soon...I'm curious if they will put my MIL through AP...we will know Wednesday, as that is the day she is supposed to go pick up the visa.
