10 days prior my due date nung nanganak ako. kung pwede lang sana na i-sched kahit normal delivery noh? makakapili ka ng araw kung kailan mo sya ilalabas. sana nga maantay mo mom-in-law mo. mas ok na may kasama ka aside sa hubby mo. bilib nga ako kay ting e. mas malaki body built ko sa kanya pero mas kinaya nya na normal. kahit anong push ayaw nyang lumabas kaya kapilitang iCS. pagkarinig ko ng iyak ni baby, tinanong ko agad asawa ko kung complete ba parts ng baby. hehehe fear ko kasi na baka di normal or di complete parts nya. buti na lang ok ang lahat. enjoy mo ung time ng delivery mo. mabilis lang un. di mo mamamalayan nailabas mo na pala sya.

thanks evelyn. oo nga malapit ka ng manganak. naaalala ko pa nung time ko. mag-isa ako sa house. nagstart labor ko 10pm ng july 10 while talking to my mom over the phone. di ko binanggit sa kanya kasi alam ko iiyak na naman sya. one time kasi nagfalse labor na ako. kaya nung 2nd time na nakaramdam ako ng sakit eh di ko na sinabi pa. ayaw ko silang magworry. saktong that night asa work asawa ko. til 3am work nya nun. i called him midnight saying na parang naglilabor na ako. i told him na wag munang umuwi kasi baka false labor ulit. pero inoorasan ko, every 2-5 mins interval ung contraction. mga 1:30am i called him again telling na andun pa rin ung pain. ginawa nya tinawagan nya mom nya at pinapunta sa house. nagpanic din mom nya nung nalaman nya na ganun na ung contraction ko. tinawagan nya asawa ko agad at sinabihang umuwi na kasi manganganak na ako. nakakatawa nga eh kasi sila ung atat na dalhin na ako sa ospital. i told him na magpalit muna ng damit pagdating nya, medyo napataas boses nya at sinabing sakay na ako ng car. nagulat ako. first time kong marinig sa kanya ung ganung tono. kala ko nga cop car dala nya. hay naku bilis nya magdrive kala mo kung may emergency. waterbag ko nga di pa pumuputok e.

pagdating sa ospital, kung ano ano na kinabit sa akin to monitor heartbeat ng baby at ung contraction ko. kala nga namin pauuwiin kami e. mas calm ako kesa sa asawa ko. hehehe buti na lang 5am pumutok water bag ko. sa haba ng labor ko, nakadalawa ako ng epidural. bilib mga nurses kasi kahit haba ng labor ko at nauwi pa sa c-section (maliit kasi pelvic inlet ko), hyper pa rin ako. nagawa ko pang makipagchikahan sa mom ko nung asa recovery room ako. nagulat sila nung sinabi kong nanganak na ako at c-section. bakit daw ang daldal ko parang walang nangyari. hehehe... the next day lumuwas sis ko at sinamahan nya ko for a week.

july 11 ng hapon ako naCS at july 13 lumabas na kami. di pa sana kaso mapilit ako. mas comfortable kasi ako pag dito sa house. since mataas ung tolerance ko sa pain, bihira akong magtake ng pain killer. kahit sa hospital, basta kaya ko di ako take ng med.

when i look back sa pinagdaanan ko nung nanganak ako, napapangiti na lang ako.

thanks bituin. medyo napatagal ung pagheal ko siguro dahil sa madalas kong pagkarga kay baby. minsan galit na asawa ko kasi daw matigas ulo ko. ayaw ko kasi syang gisingin sa gabi pag gising ang baby. madalas kasi panggabi work nya. he's working 2 jobs at panay pa overtime. at minsan kahit anong oras tinatawagan sya. hirap din ng pulis asawa mo. hayyyy... buti na nga lang may craddle swing si baby. laking tulong yun.

about breastfeeding, talagang sasakit nipples. mga 2 weeks ding sumakit sa akin kahit gumamit na ako ng lansinoh pero after that, nasanay din. parang wala na lang. tinigil ko na ring maglagay ng lansinoh that time. sobrang sakit nun. parang mas masakit pa ata kesa nung naglabor ako. di ako umiyak nung naglabor ako pero nung nagbreastfeed ako, may day na talagang umiyak ako sa tindi ng sakit. tiniis ko kasi nga mahal ang formula tas mas healthy kay baby pag breastmilk.

sa ngaun, ayaw ko na munang bumalik sa work. mas enjoy maging mom at nakikita mo paglaki ng baby. iba talaga feeling pag may baby ka na.

hello mga mommies...

pasali sa thread nyo. lagi akong nakatambay sa thread na to kahit nung buntis pa ako. my baby is 2-month old now, c-section also like riza. ang hirap talga pag c-section esp. kaming mag-asawa lang dito sa house. he was only given a week off nung nanganak ako so after nun ako na lang naiiwan sa house to take care of our baby. kaya siguro til now on and off pa rin ung kirot ng sugat ko.

my baby Jilian was 7 lbs 5.5 oz. and 19.3". 18 hours of labor, 2 hours of pushing. ayaw bumaba ng baby kaya napilitang i-cs. sore na nga ung head nya eh. paglabas nya red na red ung ulo tas may dent pa. buti nga di na pinilit na magpush pa ako eh.

til now im still nursing. for the past few days sinasabayan ko ng formula kasi kinukulang milk ko. pero mula kahapon after ng 2nd visit nya sa pedia nya, ayaw na nya ng formula. kung nung first visit e halos maiyak ako kasi nga super iyak nya, the more nung 2nd visit where she got her immunization. grabe sila dito. pinagsabay sabay ba naman ung bakuna na. 3 needles ung tinusok sa legs nya. grabe ung sigaw ng baby ko. hinayaan ko na lang asawa ko na maghawak sa kanya. tumalikod ako kasi di ko matake. after nung 3rd tusok kinuha ko sya agad. i cant explain the feeling that i felt yesterday. ganun pala noh pag baby mo na ung nasasaktan. di naman sya nilagnat. ok na sya ngaun. i gave her a bath this morning. parang walang nangyari. nakikipaglaro na sya at nakakangiti at nakakatawa na.

sa mga malapit ng manganak, good luck sa inyo. sana normal delivery para di kayo hirap makarecover.

Remeber the first letter/email from nvc, containing the mnl#? That's what my parents used as their passes to enter slec to do early medical exam. Don't forget to check the slec site for further instructions.

Hi Beth. Both my parents underwent medical a couple of days ago. Unfortunately, Dad didn't pass, so both of them need to go back next week for sputum test. They stayed in Hotel Soriente for a night. They arrived in St. Luke's around 10am on their first day. Second day, they were asked to come back at 2:30pm, but showed up around noon since they checked out from the hotel already. Med fee is around P9200. Don't forget to let your Mom bring the letter from NVC that contains the MNL#. They will ask her the name of the petitioner, visa category, when is the expected departure, if there's a date for interview yet. Good luck...

I got an email from NVC today and they scheduled my parents interview on June 6. They had their medical exam a week ago and have to undergo the 8-week sputum culture due on June 25. Will I reschedule the interview appointment or SLEC will do this? What should I do? Pls help. Thanks


I'm still waiting for a case complete at NVC. Next week my parents will do the sputum test. Once I get our interview date, I plan of calling the SLEC to inform them about the interview date so they can re-schedule it. You might want to contact SLEC and tell them about it. Yep. Mom's medical will expire on Oct. 3. And I believe Dad will get a 3 months med validity after the release of the culture result (hoping for a negative result) If both get their visas by July, they will leave early Sept. Hope everything works as planned.

Hi to the all. My parents are now in SLEC for the result of my Dad's sputum smear. Thank God it's negative. My Mom was cleared already, got her shots and now waiting in the Releasing Section when I was talking to her a few minutes ago. Dad's sputum culture result is not available not til July 6. I'm still waiting for a case complete and most probably get a 1st week of July interview dates for both parents. Are they gonna interview them together or individually? If ever we get a really early interview date, will Mom should go ahead with the interview? and Dad will follow after he is cleared in his medical? (They will go to the US at the same time.) Or there is still a possibility that they will be interviewed together? I plan on calling SLEC last week of June hoping they have the result by then. Fingers crossed...

Thank you. Now I'm kinda worried about my Mom's NBI. She got a "hit" too. She waited 2 weeks to get a clearance. Need to check the remarks, if it is, "no derogatory..." or "no record on file."

After the 3-day sputum test, result came back negative for both of them. Doc, noticed a deformity on her lungs but no scar that could suggest TB or something. She told them nagka osteoporosis sya before kya mejo na push ng konte ang lungs nya. Thank God! But I still keep praying that everything's gonna be fine after the 8-week culture test, (June 25-27).


Glad to hear that the result of the smear tests turned out negative. When did they get the results? On the 3rd day or the 4th day? Coz I only booked a 3-day stay in a hotel for my parents. I thought 3 days is all they need.

Oh ok. In our case it took 10-12 days for NVC to review and complete. My parents were already at SLEC around 6:00am.


How much time they usually spend in slec for sputum collection? Are they out of the building around 10am? What hotel are they staying in? We used hotel soriente for their 2-day check up. According to my sister, it wasnt that nice in there so i'm thinking to go to city garden suite.

Our cases are still with NVC. I called them last night to check if there's any update, but the lady said they haven't even started reviewing our forms yet, both AOS and IV. That's fine. My parents can't have their interview not til 2nd week of July anyway because of this sputum test. I just want to know coz they were advised to be in slec at 6:30am for 3 consecutive days. If they show up late, they will pay the fees again. What time does your parents go to slec for the sputum collection?

I just checked on my visa status right now, it says, "THERE IS NO STATUS UPDATE AVAILABLE FOR THE PASSPORT NUMBER SUBMITTED" yesterday, the status was "STILL WITH POST" 
I had my interview approved last week, Thursday August 02. I' thinking maybe the visa is already available for pick up but I didn't get any SMS from 2Go Travel. I tried reaching them and at the same time the embassy but I just can't get through.


What's your stat in CEAC? Does it say ISSUED? Try to track it at 2go website. Maybe you can get info in there.

Yes the status was Ready then changed to AP. I read in some threads that usually stat changes from AP -> Ready -> Issued. Does your Last Updated date keep changing daily? Mine was since interview date. But unfortunately didn't change today. So last touch was yesterday. If my stat won't change til thursday, I will email or call them.

Hello. Just like you, I'm also waiting on my parents' visas. Interviewed on Aug. 1st and til now it says Administrative Processing on CEAC. It's been like that since August 1. It was last updated yesterday. I keep on checking it every day. It's really driving me nuts too coz I already booked their flights for the 23rd. CO said they're approved and doesn't need any additional docs. Parents tried handing them the checklist for AOS (correcting the household size) but was told that everything's fine already. I hope we get the visa soon.

I just cancelled the tickets I bought for my parents. August 1st interview and supposed to leave on the 23rd. But unfortunately they are put under admin review. Til now we have no idea when they gonna issue the visas. Cancelling the tickets cost us $250. Better wait til you have the visa on hand...

We've been waiting for more than a month already yet til now both visa applications are still in administrative processing. I sent an email inquiring the status on wednesday, last week, and just got a reply...

"The cases are still pending administrative review. No additional documentation is required from you or the applicants at this time. We regret that we are unable to provide any guidance as to how long the processing will take.

Be assured that we will notify the applicants once the review is completed."

Nothing new as usual. Sick and tired of waiting. I want my parents to be here with me NOW! :( I'm about to lose my sanity here.... Just venting. "sigh"

My parents had their interview on August 1st. NVC checklisted us and was informed that parents need to hand the corrected AOS (needed to correct the household size). My parents presented that during both the interviews with the Filipino interviewer and the CO, but they both told my parents that they have complete documents already and doesn't need to submit anything. The interview with the CO went fine. He even congratulated them and told them that their visas are approved. No 221g were issued.

Since the hour after their interview CEAC status changed from READY to Administrative Processing. It's been like that for a week now. I emailed the embassy and this is their reply:

"As you are aware, the applicants were interviewed by a consular officer on August 1, 2013. Because of insufficient information to process the cases to completion, the cases were referred for further review.

Consular officers need to be satisfied that all identity and relationship issues have been addressed before a final determination is made regarding visa issuance. We will notify the applicants once the review is completed."

I don't know what insufficient information they are saying. Could it be the corrected AoS? Which i doubt it coz both interviewers said, no more documents needed and their cases are complete. Maybe another background check? How long do we need to wait? The sad part here is that I already purchased 2 one way tickets, which are not refundable. :(

Both parents were interviewed August 1st. No other documents were asked from them, no 221g. We are on day 12 now and still waiting. The embassy's reply to my first e-mail was there's insufficient information. I replied back and asked what is still needed and got a respond just now that nothing is required to submit as of this time and that they will just contact my parents once the review is done. Patiently waiting here.

i got my passport a month before my fiance filed the petition. what they asked from me at the DFA were:

1. original NSO copy of my birth certificate
2. photocopy of my NBI clearance
3. three (3) passport pics
4. original copy of my birth certificate from local civil registrar, authenticated by the NSO
5. original copy of voters certificate
6. photocopy of my two (2) valid IDs

she needs to present 2 valid IDs. i think thats the problem why DFA can't issue her a passport. they need proofs... what i presented was my college ID and my employment ID.

i didnt tell DFA staff that i will be using the passport for the fiance visa application coz they will require me to go to manila to have my CFO seminar before they will issue me a passport. manila is far from my place. i will just have the seminar when i get to manila for the interview/medical.
