K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	January I-129F filers	Oh my god!!!! I was driving home and my phone chimed that I had a text. I was just going to ignore it, but I took a peek to see who it was from and it was those infamous digits that come at the top of a USCIC text. I almost wrecked my car!!!! I got to the stop light, clicked on my mail, and there it was APPROVED!!!! I started bawling, the car behind me was honking at me to go, I forgot how to drive for a minute!!!! I have never felt happier in my life. I called Ray from my cell, and he knew as soon as he saw me calling because we never call, we text or skype.... 195 days!!!!!! Thank you all for being so supportive. I need a drink, or a hug, or something... not sure..... Now all I can think about is you Texas22... Please say you got one too.... OMG!!!.....Mel and Ray i am so so happy for you guys. that is the best news......CONGRATS. All the T's today......Totally Texas22 Thursday Today....JUST DO IT VSC!!!!! Hey Mel, yeah things moving and shaking here, lol.....we are hoping for a quick interview date. I am not sure if Dublin usually cal to check on the pack 3 as i have not seen it in any Irish posts, but i am glad they did....good customer service!! I sent it back today so maybe i will hear something about a date by Fri, though that might be hoping for a little much....but we here on VJ are good with hope!!!! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	January I-129F filers	i called NVC today.. to get CASE NUMBER>. the person told me.. that it would be 15 business days till they get number assigned.. and the CONSULATE would be contacting ROSSANA>. is this true? Hi skiptex, It seems to be true....................... We got approved on July 2nd and when we started calling NVC they told us the same, and they do not count the day you get approved. We had July 4th in there too which was not counted and they said if there is a backlog files take longer to get scanned. Go Figure!!!! Ours took 23 days!!!! \ If they have not received it in 15 business days then they will manually assign you a case number. Once it gets scanned it leaves there quick within 24hrs usually by DHL to the embassies. And then in our case embassy got it monday and we got pack 3 on friday Aug 3.. I am really certain most of the RFEs will get good news next week and also those who still wait. Fingers crossed for our two ladies from Honduras of course too! Be strong people! On a positive note, theres Only 4 months left of this year ( oh wow thats crazy!!!) and we all will be with our loved ones by then Have a great one! Enjoy!, have fun, ..............we will miss you!! But look forward to your return........with lots of approvals for those still waiting, i hope to have more news for you by then on Dublin regarding interview date. Just got NOA2 within hours of arriving in Florida again this morning. My case just never progressed when I was in my home state! Congratulations to everyone else who got approval, seems like the ball finally got rolling! Excellent News!! Now a happy vacation....Congrats, just a few more of our VJ family to go!!! Sabi for you info it arrived in the embassy on Sat by DHL and i guess was on some ones desk on Monday, so that is not bad going. Will write a proper review later but had a really good experience, no problems, very nice interviewer who asked the usual things (how we met, whether i wanted to work in US, if we'd spent much time with each others families, when our wedding was planned for). I was wiping away tears when she said i was approved and she said "stop it, or i'll start too!". Called Andrew to tell him and I'm pretty sure he will need to be told all over again when he actually wakes up, i think he was sleep-skyping! Thank you for all your support, jan filers, you all rock I don't think it's sunk in yet but right now i'm gonna have a big glass of irish champagne (TEA!) xxxx You go girl!!!..........Congrats! They also told him they is a backlog in NVC and they are somewhat behind, they have received files but they are not scanned into the system as yet! Could this be our approval?? NOOOO Just a notice to let us know that they received our RFE Evidence July 18, 2012 (even though I know it was signed for on July 13th) and that our case status has changed to: Request for Evidence Response Review (sigh) Same happened us!!...took 49 days to approved it after ERR email, just so you know, but hope you will get luckier.... K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	January I-129F filers	Update: We received the RFE from Vermont today. My fiance had filed his divorce paper that he received from the county clerk's office. It was stamped and sealed and everything, but apparently they want the "Final Divorce Decree" only. Fortunately he has a copy of it (all 33 pages) and we are sending it back to them by overnight express tomorrow. The RFE also states that from the date they receive our submission, it will take a minimum of 14 days to process the form, and if we haven't heard from them within 60 days, we may contact them. Glad it was something easy to fix, like ours! Not to put a damper on anything...... but just so you know (with the way things are going in VSC) we sent ours back within 2 days and it was signed for on the12th May but the response email said they got on the 15th May and it took them til July 2nd to approved it. Now it seems to be in the abyss somewhere, VSC say they sent it directly to Dublin not NVC but we called NVC and they said it has to come to them and can take up to 30days and that VSC can not send it to Dublin, i have no idea where it is or what is happening, so the wait continues...... Photomile guess what.....our petition did not go to NVC, Tommy has just been on to both VSC and NVC and they confirmed that it went directly from VSC to Dublin for visa issuance, they actually said Our application is not longer in the United States,and gave no other details....So i call Dublin get transferred to a call centre and they tell me that i just have to wait for the Embassy to contact me in "due course"!!! I don't know if i should be worried or excited, the due course bit is a little scary is that a week a month or longer. In the large box where they type and starts "The above petition has been approved"......what is usual for the rest of that sentence to read, that it has been sent to NVC or to the Consulate??? I ask because a sample i seen here on vj (2003 so it may have changed) says NVC but ours says Consulate and to contact the Consulate about visa issuance. I have those days when I am all positive and happy but recently it's all coming down to being depressed... The weather doesn't help (OMG is there ever gonna be a sunny week in Ireland again??) plus I haven't seen Terry in over 4 months now and it just gets to me now.. At this stage , even when I am approved I won't be celebrating anymore or I won't be happy,cause it feels like someone is doing me a big favor here that I will be ever approved! I know! what is it like here with the weather, that alone would get you down! Being apart is so hard, i am in the same boat last seen Tommy in March, that is the longest time we have spent apart since we met and by the time he comes here it will be heading for 6mths, YUCK!! At this stage we just need to know WHEN!I know everyone means well but talking about believing, hoping and being strong isn't helping when we know you already have your approvals in your pockets and we are still waiting, most of us over 165 days now! ... I am extremely bitter right now like an old woman! At this very moment I am seriously thinking of dropping it all and just making my baby to move with me to Spain where I actually know for a fact I would be happy! I don't know if I want to move somewhere , where the government service is as poor as in my own country which I have left long time ago... Sabi, I know it is unfair and unjust, but you CAN NOT give up now! Anything over the 5 mths is unbearable and i can totally understand why you would start to feel bitter but you have put so much into this process and given so much support to us all that you will be rewarded soon and NO WAY pull out, then they win... not you!! I believe you could be happy on a a park bench with your man but remember he would most likely have to go through all the same ####### to comply with EU laws and i dont think it would be any easier, just a thought!! My oldest daughter is 21 and she is staying in Canada (for now). Yes it's hard to explain it... they know we are moving, they have known since January that it was official. My fiance came in February for a few weeks, and I flew down in May for a few weeks.(just myself)... but yes the long drive will be worth it. Good thing my kids love road trips. They enjoyed a month in Texas last summer, so they are excited to go again. I just wish it was for good this time... oh well.. next time. If you get NOA2 this week then maybe it could be for good, is Canada slow to give an interview date? Either way the end is in sight for your new life and it will be awesome!!! We are so sick of waiting, we are planning a drive down there in 3 weeks to spend some of the summer with my fiance. But alas, will have to come back here and wait it out... I have the kids still enrolled in their Canadian school, so they will have to start school here and go until we can move. I am sure like me you are worn out trying to explain this system to the kids, we can't understand it, how can they!!! How many kids have you? and are they middle or high school, mine are high school and i have 2. Wow that will be a long drive but it will be worth it to have some time together. It sure would be nice to know, and yes I was hoping the kids could start school with the other kids, but that isn't going to happen. The school year in our school district in Texas starts August 27th. Fingers, toes etc crossed .......for Texas Kids!! CT school year starts Aug 27th too, i am ready to step on a plane as soon as i have visa in hand even if it Aug 26th, we will just have to deal with the jet lag ..... K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	January I-129F filers	Yes in the interview with the adjudicator he mentioned they like to process couples with kids as they get credit for EACH person , so approving one family with 2 kids is an extra those are processed sooner than others I am happy you got approved now Neetz as at least your kids will be able to start school in September! But here is hoping that so will Texas' kids too! Thanks Sabi, i am feeling your pain, and everyone else's too, it sucks that it is not a fair system. It should be 1st come 1st served. I felt a little bad posting that we got approved when so many ahead of us were still waiting, but i figured you are all such a wonderful supportive bunch you would want to know and at least see that VSC is still working. I am hoping that all the Jan filers get results this week and everyone can start planning their moves and lives, Jan filers deserve happy hearts and smiley faces!! Cheers Kittylondon......well we just got lucky i guess being that we were the very end of Jan, but we are so happy! I guess that fact that the RFE was not our mistake may have helped, who knows!! This process is heart wrenching and not for the weak. Now we just see how long it takes to get to Dublin, i hope to have my interview in Aug and get to the US for the start of the school year, my daughter would like to start with everyone not go in month or 2 later but it will be what is, and we will just have to go with that! Hopefully you get your interview real soon, UK is different than Eire, we can do our medical etc before NOA2 or case number so we are good to go once Dublin send package 3, keep us posted on your journey...... Its hard to imagine you filed end of Jan and worst even got an RFE but yet, approve before half of us here. Dont mistake me, im happy to know there is some activity but its hard to believe. Even CSC filers getting better treatment than us. I sense some form of injustice here.........we all wanna be with our significant others without having to worry about leaving them not knowing when next congrats Thanks, i know it hard to see others approved when they applied after you, and i know you are happy for me, but i do get your frustration it is understandable. The whole system is very strange, sabi said ages ago and i think she may have hit on something...that there are different groups i.e people where either party have never been married, divorced couples and then ones with kids. I fit into the divorced with kids pile so maybe that is why ours got looked at before earlier applications. Really there is no way to know how they do it. My RFE was a mistake on their part not ours so maybe that also had something to do with it.
