Also it helps if you go back and read previous posts by others so you get to see other members checklist so you won't do the same mistake. Canada	Co-Sponsors and K-1 Visa Denial??	I'm not sure how they work it for a K1 but with a CR1 you only need a joint sponsor who can support the beneficiary and their own household, not the entire household of the petitioner.     Every consulate accepts joint sponsors for the CR1 because you do the I-864 which is legally binding.  The I-134 is not which is why a consulate or embassy does not have to accept them.  However both of the Canadian consulates that do K1 interviews do accept them.     Yes it's okay for the primary sponsor not to have any income, but I question you this to think about.... How are you going to live?  It takes 3 months after filing the AOS paperwork (which is $1070) for the beneficiary to be able to work.  During this time they cannot work, even remotely, or collect EI.    Understandably your fiancé will have money after he is done school since he'll be able to work, but you need to support yourselves until then unless you plan on relying on student loans or his family.   Obviously you do not need to answer these questions, and you may have already thought about it (good for you) but you also may not have.  Just throwing it out there for all it's worth.   I see... seems like co-sponsors aren't a problem for Canadian Consulates then. Canada	Co-Sponsors and K-1 Visa Denial??	Hi everyone,    I am canadian citizen and my fiance is USC who is currently in medical school. He doesn't have any income so we were planning to ask our close friend to co-sponsor us for the K-1 visa.   He makes well above the poverty level but I read many threads where k-1 visas were denied because the primary sponsor doesn't have enough income? Caribbean	Getting to the interview in Kingston	Negril to Kingston is a really long drive I would not recommend that you guys drive there the day of your interview.... plus after that long drive you don't know how long you will be at the embassy and then you will have that really long drive back. I would really suggest that you guys stay in kingston over night...you will wake up refresh and after that long day at the embassy you will not be so tired driving back. Caribbean	Delivery of Visa to Montego Bay	Hey guys I know this has been asked a gazillion times but can anyone tell me if visa was printed on Friday morning if it will reach Montego Bay DHL by Tuesday? I'm not booking his flight yet but I just want to get an idea as to when he can be here. The plan is for him to pick up visa and then head to airport the same day. He doesn't want to make two trips to Montego Bay from Negril. I will pre - register him and pay the green card fee on the USCIS website before he gets on the plane. I hope they don't ask him for a receipt at POE. Bethann you sound jamaican here...lol...i think once the visa has to go to mobay it takes longer to show in their system because once its in the system its ready for pickup...i am almost positive it will be ready tomorrow...because it takes maybe a day to go to mobay then logged....check back later today....i checked csc site all day to see if it had the waybill # and it never changed and i got up 4am the following morning and checked it and there it was...waybill # and it also stated ready for pickup...i have no clue what time they entered it in the system but they did sometime late that night...hope yours change later today. Caribbean	uscis say am married to my kids father	That is very strange....they never asked for those documents when she processed her gc but they are asking for it in order to process her kids papers....she need to take a look at the kids birth certificate to make sure everything is correct on it....because maybe that is what is stated on there....or maybe they have the same last name....or maybe you know how after some couple live together for a long time they call them selves the common law wife....maybe that is what is on the bc...either way uscis will not just accept a letter she will have to obtain a non-impedament record showing that there is no marriage on record for her to her childrens father in any of the14 parishes. I had a friend that had some what of a simular situation but hers was caught as she tried to obtain her gc...she had lied on her visa app that she was married to her kids father because she wanted to establish ties in ja and she had to get the non impediment record showing she was never married. From past experience they e-mailed and regular mail the documents....the embassy is the one that maked your interview date...for the fee you pay it on the day of your interview but before the interview is conducted...as for what you said the ceac site says issued...thats strange because your visa cannot be issued and you havent had your interview yet...double check the number you entered to make sure you entered the correct one...good luck	Extreme happiness	Female	Jamaica	2014-03-11 09:51:00

Mexico, Latin & South America	COLOMBIANOS CON VISA K1 (CONTINUACION 6)	Hola, lastimosamente no les tengo un relato feliz como todos los demás... mi visa no me la aprobaron todavía porque mis papeles del doctor quedaron pendientes...   Lo que pasa es que cuando fuí a mi cita con el Dr Dennis me tocó contarle (porque se nota mucho) que tengo un quiste de ovario, le mostré que ya tengo orden para la cirugía y todo pero como todo eso tarda tanto no alcanzaron a operarme antes de mi cita y aún no sé cuando será. Entonces el Dr me dijo que no me recomendaba que el hiciera un informe de lo que tengo y lo llevara así a la embajada porque según él no puede estar seguro de que si me voy a hacer la cirugía   y que hay que esperar a ver si no es maligno... en fin.. entonces me recomendó que regresara a Bogotá después de la cirugía y le llevara los resultados de la patología y todo eso.. además antes de regresar me tengo que poner una tercera dosis de tétano y una segunda de triple viral pq sino me las hacen poner allá.   Hoy en la embajada me fue bien, la que me recibió los papeles era amable y me explicó que les tengo que enviar los papeles de Dr y mi pasaporte por DHL, también me dijo que no me preocupara porque no tenía límite de tiempo para enviarlo, pero que no me podían aprobar la visa sin eso... luego la cónsul muy amable me hizo las preguntas típicas, nada raro, y parece que es nueva porque también estaba con una señora atrás ayudándola. Al final me entregó las instrucciones para enviarles eso luego y ya.   Después de ir a la embajada quedé un poco más tranquila porque no me dieron un plazo, pero me molesta que el Dr me haga volver a Bogotá en lugar de colaborarle a uno de alguna manera para no tener que volver hasta acá... además no tengo ni idea de cuando me operen ni cuando pueda viajar después de eso   entonces en eso queda mi historia por ahora... Mexico, Latin & South America	COLOMBIANOS CON VISA K1 (CONTINUACION 6)	Hola niñas, quería preguntarles que tipo de blusa usaron ustedes para tomarse las fotos, porque cuando fui a tomarme las que mandamos con la petición yo usé una camisa negra normalita, no era escotada ni nada, y en el sitio donde me las tomaron editaron mis fotos agregándole una chaqueta fea encima  porque según ellos ponen problema por eso     No tuvimos problema con esas fotos, pero esta vez me quiero tomar otras para la entrevista  pero que no me agreguen nada raro y por eso me preguntaba que puedo usar... o simplemente les digo en el sitio que no editen nada que puedo usar blusa y no necesito esa chaqueta falsa encima?  Según leo, para las de la visa uno debe usar la ropa que usa normalmente...   Cuando me tomé las de la cédula hace años me hicieron la misma en Foto Japón y quedé con una chaqueta horrible con hombreras!! Mexico, Latin & South America	COLOMBIANOS CON VISA K1 (CONTINUACION 6)	que bendicion nena esas vacunas tan baratas! es que yo e escuchado que son mas caras   Siii, tienen que buscar sitios como Comfama o en la Cruz Roja porque donde el doctor son muy caras > < En la EPS te deben poner la del tétano gratis, yo  no estoy afiliada a Comfama y aún así me la pusieron gratis entonces no tuve que ir a la EPS.   A mi me salieron en 45mil porque no me tuve que poner la de varicela que es la más costosa, esas 3 que me puse valdrían como 150.000 donde el doctor... Mañana me voy para Bogotá y lo primero que hare sera ir al laboratorio, espero que me saquen sangre facil porque a mi siempre que me sacan les toca chuzarme como 3 veces, es lo peor pero bueno...despues a las 5pm tengo la cita medica. Espero que me vaya bien, cuando pueda despues de eso les contare como me fue. Y al otro dia si no me entregaron los resultados del examen tendre que ir por ellos y tambien tengo que ir por el certificado de antecedentes a la embajada Argentina, despues tengo un dia libre por si algo y ya si el 25 tengo la entrevista a las 7:30am!! Las que ya han ido masomenos cuanto se demoran desde entrar hasta salir? Y la cosa es que uno entra y primero alguien le pregunta cosas y revisa los papeles, despues uno espera y otra persona tambien le hace preguntas y le hace firmar todo y le dice a uno si la aprobaron o no? o como es masomenos el orden en el que pasa todo? quiero estar preparada mentalmente jajaja Gracias!     Mucha suerte con todo!
