Your post is encouraging though, thank you for sharing. Want to let you know when you reach the 4th month or the 5th month, time just sorta stands still. You go to the website and it's stuck on INITIAL REVIEW. And you wonder, hey is there anybody at home at VSC? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	21 days left!	The last few months have been a roller coaster of emotions. It took about six months for us to receive NOA2 from Vermont Service Center and I remembered that during the months of March and April, we both checked our email, typed our code at the USCIS website and wondered, when are they going to approve our application? I read the frustrations of other VJers and shared their anguish. I'll be honest, despite being happy for everybody receiving NOA2, we were very frustrated, or more honestly, we were jealous that CSC was trucking along faster than VSC or that somebody who applied in January already received NOA2 (I was annoyed, but now that I look back, I can only say, congrats that you were able to get it so quickly and good luck!) For all those who are still waiting for NOA2, keep up the patience. Look after each other and hold each other up. At times Ji Young got frustrated and at times I was. But we keep telling ourselves any day now, any time now. Maybe, VSC had a sense of humor, because on the day of my birthday I was out with friends and I receive a phone call from Ji Young, "Guess what? We got it!" Best birthday gift I ever received! Now that was a little over a month ago. I sent her all the Packet 3 documents that I needed to on my end. She schedule her appointment for the medical examination and the interview date. Time really flew by. Before we new it, they stuck her with several needles and the embassy asked her a few questions and next thing I knew, she said she got it! So we booked our flights last month and because NOA2 was taking its sweet time to arrive, we thought that it would be wiser to book late June, rather than our early June that we planned out from last year. I was caught by surprised how fast our materials went from Vermont to National Visa Center to Korea. Three weeks from today, I will be taking off and heading west to Inchon International Airport. It'll be 9 months since we last held each other and we both cannot wait. One month from now, we'll be landing at JFK Int'l Airport. I'll be on one line for U.S. Citizens and she'll be on another for non-residents for the last time in her life. I'll be waiting for her on the other side and when she comes through we know that our journey has not ended, but has just begun. You got your NOA1 on 4/26/10 and got the NOA2 on 8/4/2010.....a total wait time of around 3 1/2 months. Most people on VJ nowadays will have to wait 5+ months to get an NOA2. Everybody has their own way of dealing with the frustration of waiting. Just let them deal with it in their own way. It's all good I totally agree with you because after receiving my RFE after 6 months I need ALOT of more humor in my life. Or else ill go crazy becuz this waiting is ridiculous! Lets say her name is Jane doe w smith... I filled out all the forms and put... First name (Jane) Middle (Doe) Last (smith).... But I wish to give you advice that you may or not know, when the visa arrives and your excitement is at its peak please remember there is a packet that says "DO NOT OPEN" this is meant for customs at your POE and if you happen to open it "YOU MUST" return to manilla us Embassy and visit Immigrant Visa services Window 17 between the hours of 1:00pm and 3:30pm Monday through Friday. you will not need an appointment nor is there a fee for this but It can be avoided just with a little warning. I am typing this as my Betrothed sits in NAIA waiting on her flight back to Dumaguete and figured I would try and educate those who do not know about this packet and remedying the unintentional opening. That'd suck. Are you developing a sixth sense yet for mail being in your mail box? I had this conversation with A tonight: Me: Did you check the mail today? A: Yes, it wasn't there. I'm checking it "religiously" like you told me to. I checked this morning when I got up, then I checked before I went to work. When I came home I checked, then I checked before I went to soccer, I'll check when I get home, and then I'll check again before I go to bed. Me: Shut up. I feel bad, Tom was so excited when he went to sleep that we received another touch...now he's going to wake up in 20 minutes to "Um, you read the wrong thing." I can't believe they make us wait for snail mail, at least have the decency to update us online! After making us wait nearly five months they can't even spare us the additional week+ that it will take in the post (taking into account the Thanksgiving holiday)? I doubt we'll get it before then, but I hope. It took about 5 business days from my NoA1 date and receiving the hard copy. If I get an RFE I will lose my ######. Hey, do you and A celebrate each month-end? I guess it's different for you since you're so close in geography, but every time another month ends we are like "Yes! So touch dated 11/15, acco updated saw touch 11/16 8am. Received the email/text in the afternoon 11/16 with RFE notice. Don't worry! Just cause you haven't gotten email, they are still working!!!! Either it's in the mail or will be! And hopefully it's an approval, not RFE! Aw thanks I know. I was actually relieved to not see an email because I'm hoping that means we didn't get RFEd.
