Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionGreen card will expire before initial NOA.
So I got an envelope from USCIS today. I got all excited thinking 'yes! I don't have to worry about the expiry date.'
What was it?......my application!!!
They sent it back because of one stupid little mistake. Now I'm kicking myself hard for overlooking something so important.
But I've scheduled an infopass apt. for Monday so hopefully I can get my status cleared up.

But wow!! Was I ever DUMB!!
I'm all stressed out...and I did it to myself.

Thank you.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionGreen card will expire before initial NOA.
I mailed my I-751 and it was received on 06/17. My green card will expire on 07/03.
My cheques have not been cashed and I have not received any notices.
If I don't receive my NOA before it expires what should I do?
Will someone point me towards an appropriate contact # so I can check up on my application?
The Guide has no information on what to do in such a situation.
Should I not work when my card expires?

When he asked if I had a job in the U.S., I said that I didn't need to work because my husband made good money. He replied, "well, not everyone is as rich as you." Since my husband's career is more important than mine, I wanted to stay with him until we could move to the U.S. Now, I may find a job and once the visa is issued, figure out if I want to stay there or not.

Canadaexample aos cover letter
hey guys, can anyone provide an example of their aos checklist? we're getting ready to send ours off and i just want to make certain everything is in order.

thanks in advance!

CanadaWaiting for AOS; Visa almost expired
Filed for AOS last week. I-94 expires June 3rd. Do I need to have any type of papers that show I am waiting for my AOS to be approved? Do I just sit tight and wait for a response while my papers expire? Thanks!
bogartnoirFemaleCanada2010-05-23 22:04:00
Canadait's been 6 months waiting for AOS :(
so we got married may 7th.
we sent our application for aos on the 17th of may and haven't had even a touch since july.

like a bunch of jerks we didn't think to apply for I-131 because we thought he'd have his green card by now.
well now my husband would like to visit his family in ontario around christmas (we move across the country in february).
what options do we have here? i saw no option available for our situation on the infopass website. is there a phone number to call?
thanks in advance, guys!

CanadaAOS'rs...
this is SUCH BULLSHIT. we got a ###### RFE. and even more annoying- it took them this ###### long to give an rfe. we move across the country next month and this is really not the stress we need right now.
uscis, you SUCK. you don't need any more ###### evidence. we're sitting here. still married. moving to settle down in oregon in february. seriously. back the #### off. you've made the last 4 years of our life a living ###### hell. bureaucratic nonsense. stuff it.

do i need to worry yet? no approval after 5 months...
bogartnoirFemaleCanada2010-10-08 19:09:00
CanadaAOS'rs...
so tomorrow is 4 months since we applied for aos. can we get an infopass appt after tomorrow?
this approving ###### at the very last second is bunkum.
bogartnoirFemaleCanada2010-09-18 21:19:00
CanadaAOS'rs...
so our case was transferred to CSC! so that's nice. and today, at the last possible second, we got notification that g was approved for his EAD (finally) but of course it could take up to another month to GET said card. *insert sad trombone noise here*

I have the full packet 3 from Montreal scanned, but I am not sure how I send it to you to be posted. It is in pdf format. It includes the check list (not checked or signed) and all the other instructions as well. It is the full 10 pages.

Ashen and I actually went through the whole package last night and got it all updated for Montreal on the wiki if you guys want to take a look. We included the full medical packet as well under the medical heading so now people can truly see what all you get from MTL.

you are too awesome! star_smile.gif

they haven't given me ANY valuable information over the phone except, no, we don't have a date scheduled.
and i guess we are august filers. i kept saying we were july because that's when we sent the silly packet 3. which of course was the last day of july. on a friday. sigh. JUST GIMME A SIGN!

and i wish we didn't have more paperwork. shortly after us is when they implemented all the paperwork for the p3-ers. we still have to fill out the 156-k or whatever.
does anyone who did this old school know what's in packet 4 so i can just be done with it???
thanks, guys.

I also wanted to ask you guys, as a CR1 person, how long was it supposed to take for a K1? I ahd heard that they were processed really, really fast. But just reading Peachy and Varba's timeline -- it looks like it'll be about 8-10 month processing time. If you had known it was going to be this long -- would you guys have done it differently?

I'm just curious and trying to wile away the Friday afternoon before a long weekend afternoon at work...

since we have known eachother for 10 years, we have visited COUNTLESS times. i used an extra page to give approximate visits for the last 3 years. told them it was approximate. explained how long we had been visiting and offered to try and furnish extra dates if needed (which i sincerely doubt they will need).

Hi everyone,

I'm just trying to be prepared. For those who did their medical in Toronto, how long does it take to make an appointment and how long were you there? Also, do we need to have all of those vaccinations the Department of State lists on their website? I'm just asking because I don't even know where to look for those records.

Any help will be great!

Tina

i went with my fiancee to the medical. we showed up 20 minutes early and were first to be seen. in all it took maybe 2 hours to be seen and the entire medical to be done. we had the rest of the day to record shop! everyone was very pleasant and nice.
