The update I just read (have yet to receive an email) says that on 11/13/2008 my card had been ordered!!! good.gif VSC is moving slowly but surely!! Now I can apply for citizenship this December!

You don't have to wait for the approval of the I-751 to apply for citizenship. Based on your timeline, you can apply now.

I looked over VJ Immigration Timelines and found all those approved without interview for I751 totally had an interview befor for I485. No exception.

That's because I-751 interviews are few and far between, most cases are approved without an interview.

You can't have her "visa" removed -- she's a permanent resident, emphasis on "permanent".

If her status is unconditional, there's nothing you can do. You can try and play the "fraud"
blame game, claiming that the immigrant spouse did not enter into the qualifying marriage
in good faith, but it'll be your word against hers, and the law tends to side with the immigrant.

As for the Affidavit of Support, it's going to remain in effect until the departure, naturalization,
or death of the immigrant spouse, or until she secures credit for 40 quarters of work history
in the U.S.

"At will" doesn't give the employer carte blanche to terminate employees for any reason.

They cannot fire a person for being black or gay or, in this case, having an expired
green card.

anyone that your green card is about to expire.

Regardless of the expiration date of your green card, your status does not expire, ever.
As far as your employer is concerned, once a permanent resident, always a permanent
resident -- unless USCIS says otherwise.

That was true in the past because permanent resident documentation did not have an expiration date. They now have expiration dates and must be treated as all other documentation with an expiration date except for the US passport.
