Asia: East and Pacific	LAND DOWNUNDER	hey guys finally ran into a hiccup lol went to pick up our marriage certificate yesterday but it wasnt recorded, they HAD recieved it but not yet imputted it into the system.... so i have a copy of the license/marriage certificate that the preacher gave us. do you think that will be enough to be able to use to file for the AOS? its a customer copy signed and dated by the preacher with a witness..... thoughts? i have to file before 4th feb - and they said it could be another couple of weeks... but we're going back on friday to give them another work week to do it.... we got married 15th december.... Asia: East and Pacific	LAND DOWNUNDER	hi katz, if memory serves me well... it might be about a 2 - 3 week wait (for me it was that long) the embassy will send you packet 3 - telling you what you need to get together - including a doctors appt and police check (if you havent already done it) and then to send them a form for when your ready for your interview. then you will recieve packet 4 - which has your interview date on it. hope this helps!! sharyn	SharynY	Female	Australia	2007-12-07 03:41:00
Asia: East and Pacific	LAND DOWNUNDER	hi everyone!! just dropping in to say hi! and good luck to those still on their journey to get their visas..... - be patient, ask any questions however many times you like lol - i remember how i used ot ask the same q's over and over again and i was a total mess of nerves..... i'm just relaxing here in california - my wedding is in 9 days!! ...... we get our marriage certificate on the 10th january and then apply for the AOS straight after..... my visa expires on the 4th feb but i'll be married by then and everything will go smoothly as it has up til now.... Asia: East and Pacific	LAND DOWNUNDER	hey everyone!! its been hectic since i got here - its been one week yeah!! just a question that popped into my head... - from today till i get married is there anything i need to do visa wise? apart from apply for my SSN in a week (have to allow 2 weeks to ensure they have the paperwork i gave immigration in san francisco port of entry).... i'll check back later!! and congrats to all that all is going well too!!
