Asia: East and Pacific	LAND DOWNUNDER	end of october...... my petition/visa window expires in September but since my fiance and i did up new letters of intent - they said thanks to those letters they will extend my visa to january 08........ so might be an idea for anyone yet to go to the consulate to do up new letters of intent..... may help as they keep these in your file............. and thankyou!! Asia: East and Pacific	LAND DOWNUNDER	hi guys!! i'm nervous as anything lol... i got the 3kg satchel and yeah i realised i'm handing it over to them so i've already basically paid for it lol....i paid $10.10..... anyways ... also got two more passport pics taken - american sized this time just incase!!...........and went to kodak to print out some pics from my holiday with my fiance in hawaii...... am printing out more emails today and i went over all paperwork again yesterday..... i know i'll do fine... but you just cant help being nervous... anyways hope your all good!!! oh and the address i'm putting on the satchel is my work address so i'll get it first off and wont have to go to the post office to pick it up.... happy monday all!! Asia: East and Pacific	LAND DOWNUNDER	the country my parents come from - they issue id cards - for ID purposes..... and back then if you werent borne in that country you werent issued one... so since i wasnt borne there - i didnt get a card and hence i cant get a police check done with them.. but i've got the police check done with the australian police since i've lived here all my life really..... ******** hey guys the 3kg express post satchel - do we need to pay the postage on the reply?...... or do the consulate do that? and remind me again - are the australian sized passport pics enough for these guys? ... because they are very very close to the size of the american passport size............ thanks!! Asia: East and Pacific	LAND DOWNUNDER	i did, i emailed them on Monday to request a earlier date since sydney wasnt being locked down - and tell them that if they cant give you a earlier date if they can also put you on a waiting list - they did that to me and on wednesday i was emailed by them and told my interview was moved from october to next tuesday - ..... the girl that emailed me she was so nice....actually i have to email her today to confirm that they have my medical results as Dr Waks sent them directly to the consulate.... i recieved the new appt letter last night - yay!! oh and on the living in another country thing.... i had the same problem - and because i wasnt issued with an ID card - i got that consulate to write a letter stating that since i didnt have one, they couldnt do a check on me, incase the US consulate questions if i even went to do it lol..... Asia: East and Pacific	LAND DOWNUNDER	the consulate fee you can pay at the post office and get a receipt for it and you have to attach it or have them attach it to your passport..... but i'm taking the NOA's just incase........ rather have more then needed then less..... Asia: East and Pacific	LAND DOWNUNDER	Not sure - its on the guide on this site but its not mentioned anywhere on the paperwork that the consulate sends you.... but i want to have them just in case they do.... it might be an after thought.... now i'm hoping i havent forgotten anything... three things left to do... take another copy of the ds 156 form (the one you fill out online) get some american sized passport pics done pay the consulate fee oh and!!! - 3kg express paid envelope..... see 4 things to do!! ............. Asia: East and Pacific	LAND DOWNUNDER	i just remembered last night to tell my fiance to scan and email me the NOA1 and the NOA2 ... so i had a copy of them for the interview.... i'm like "do i need to remind you in the morning?" and he replies "no i've got it all under control" and he did!! i had them in my inbox first thing in the morning - i am so PROUD of him... usually i have to kick him to remind him of something lol..... Asia: East and Pacific	LAND DOWNUNDER	i got a reply from the consulate - they dont have any closer dates to offer me due to their involvement in the APEC meeting - but they will put me on the waiting list - i told them thankyou and that i'll see them on the 10th october (my original interview date) if no other closer date came thru............ they replied yet again saying Thankyou. meanwhile my fiance is working on coming out here to be with me...... at least i asked....... Asia: East and Pacific	LAND DOWNUNDER	hey kath i'm also torn because i'm a firm believer that things always happens for a reason.......... my fiance is due to come out in october at my request because i told him i need his support for the interview - that being said.... if i have the interview earlier and he isnt here - theres this little niggly doubt that i wont pass lol.... oh i know i will but you cant help but have a niggle of doubt............ everyone always talks about phone calls and whatever whereas me and him we constantly talk on email - he works afternoon shift which coincides with my day shift so we talk all day long......... we've spoken on the phone, but emails are free and so is skype............. Asia: East and Pacific	LAND DOWNUNDER	i just got a reply back from the consulate - fast reply... this was my question: "hi there. i was told by other visa members that there is a new test requirement?,, TB Skin test? i asked the doctor i went to - Dr Waks - and his receptionist had no idea what i was talking about and said that as far as she knew the only test required was the xray to check for tuberculosis... are you able to shed any new light on this for me? - or will this test be needed to be done when i file for AOS?. thanks in advance" their reply "The panel physician will advise you of all the required tests to take. You only need to make your appointment with the panel physician and when you are seen to by him/her you’ll be given the letters of referral for all tests required" so i guess we'll have to wait....... i mean i've already got my appt - and yeah as you said they havent been told, maybe its from a specific date they're doing it?
