Your next step is your case should have been mailed to the NVC who then sends it to your embassy in your country. Then the embassy sends out packet 3 materials for you to fill out with instructions on how to do so. You can get a head start on things by reviewing packet 3 forms but sometimes things may be a little different depending on the embassy or consulate you are working with. Start preparing documents so when you get the real packet 3 materials you can just simply fill things out easily. You might also call the embassy and try and see if they can email packet 3 docs. Sometimes they do and sometimes they don't but doesn't hurt for you to make the call. Might save you weeks of time if you try. It did me. Check the VJ guides on how to fill out this form and also check the USCIS website as their are instructions as to what is required. Also you will find the list of poverty guidelines. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	EXIT PERMITS!!???	Does anyone know if an exit permit from Kazakhstan is required for a K-1 Visa? K-1 Visa is a non-immigrant visa. I know immigrant Visa holders are required to obtain an exit permit. There is no data that I have found on VJ or the web about this. I know for others touches meant nothing to them but at least it was handled. Good luck and if you want to get excited about it. Go ahead. I know everyone is in the same boat but I don't like feeling helpless so I tried to do something as often as I could to see what was up. On another note, those people at the USCIS customer service center have no clue, they just send email inquiries and are seemed to be trained to give you any excuse that you will buy. I was told some of the things you were when I called and many others, my case is under investigative review, there is an RFE coming to me by mail, etc. etc. None of which were true. It was all BS to pacify me somehow in their own sick way. They are just scripted bugs on the other end of the phone. They are only going down the list of excuses to give you until you accept one. That is what it seems anyway. I hope your case gets approved soon and by the looks of the timeframe for you both it looks like its close. I will pray that it happens soon!! Take care. Philippines	co sponsorship is not ok	Because the I-134 is legally non-binding, it is upto the individual CO at the interview to accept co-sponsorship or not. This is where the totality of circumstances come in -- is the unemployment/dip in salary just temporary or is this the pattern, employment history, how educated is intending immigrant, how old are they, will they be able to find jobs, are they just starting out in life, i.e. recent college graduates, etc. An I-864 is different because it is a legally binding document between the government and the petitioner.	sachinky	Female	India	2009-12-18 14:37:00

Philippines	Interracial Marriage Challenges	I'm an Indian (ethnically and nationality-wise) and my husband is a white, American. In our two years of dating and now four months of marriage, we've not come across any racial/cultural differences in our relationship. We're similar in more important ways. The only difference I've encountered is in our sense of humor. Mine is more caustic and sarcastic. I joke and poke fun at him often in jest. He doesn't get that. He doesn't understand, as he puts it, why I'm being mean to him. I can't explain to him that the only reason I poke fun at him is BECAUSE I love him.
