WHHHHhhhoooOOOoooOT

My husband played a trick on me today by getting me irritated with him on the phone then at the end started trying to make me soften by being sweet with me..... by the "guess what?" game and the very last statement was "Guess what Rajaa?" I mummbled "what?" and he said "I GOT MY VISA!""

And he also changed his mind and wants me to go meet him in Casablanca in Jan kicking.gif kicking.gif (i hope prices have gotten better?)

Thank you all for putting up with me these past 7 months you all have become like sisters and brothers. Crying together laughing together, slumber parties and arguing we are just like a family :sniff: thank you all!!

I am glad that your daughter is doing better. That must have been the icing on the cake with everything else you are up against.

I was going over my notes from when ours was returned. I thought it took almost a month but it was almost 2 months. Anyway the purpose was to locate the phone number in Washington to track the diplomatic pouch but I couldn't find it in my notes. I googled it, and I hope this is it, but if it isn't let me know and I will keep looking.

Diplomatic Pouch and Mail Division
Pouch and Mail Policy (202) 663-1850

The person that assisted me was Steve Ferrell. He didn't answer the phone so I left a message. I was quite surprised when he returned my call. I hope this is the correct number and I hope he is still there. He was very helpful.

Anyway let me know if this number worked.

Thank YOU so much and yes this number worked just fine like you he called me back and i was so surprised because i have called so many numbers from there in Washington and no one but him called me back.....when i gave him that number that Casa emailed me he was like that's not the diplomatic pouch number so he told me to forward the email so i did now im waiting to see what happens.....

First off, the lie. They told us the same thing, but in reality they had it there for about a month. But you can ask them for what is called the "diplomatic pouch number. This can be traced in Washington, but it is a time consumming method.

Just because they said it doesn't mean that they did, it just means they don't want to deal with you. Push them.

good advice!!! good.gif

I had a phone consult with Marc Ellis last week - I was very impressed and will be using him.

We have a returned K1 we're trying to deal with.

I interveiwed/consulted with many offices...Ellis seemed fair and logical. One of the few that asked specifics about the interview and my case's actual issues not just what "may" happen without knowing about my relationship. That truly bugged me about the other consults I had. How can an attorney give you any feedback or strategy without know the specifics of a case???

Okay sounds good Thank You and if you dont mind me asking does he want you to pay him in advace or what did he tell you?

Revoking a visa is something done on the government side not the petitioners side. Mr Ellis is a good lawyer so I am curious about exactly how he used the word revocation. The normal course of a returned visa is that your fiancée has an interview and there is some sort of issue where the embassy gives you a paper saying that they are returning the petition for reason XXXXX and recommending that the petition be reviewed for revocation.
Whatever the reason was you have to clear that "problem" up in any future petition. Just refiling a new petition that does not address the original problem is not a good idea. A bad lawyer will simply advise you to get married and file a new petition. If both lawyers are saying they are addressing the original revocation in their proposed solution then it is a matter of who you are most comfortable with and in the case of a tie which one is providing the best service for the money.

Well to tell you the truth I'm wanting to go with Ellis.....and I had no clue what was even meant by revocation.....he and i are already married so the problem was him not being able to speak and read English well....thats what my husband and i are thinking.....i had been down to see him twice and he had all the proof that was required.....see when she asked him to read an email i had sent him and my husband could not read it she handed him back all his things and told him his papers were going back to the USA.... i guess i have a very long wait before i even hear anything.....but thanks im so grateful for any advice i can get.... all these great people going through or have been through the same thing we are understand where we are coming from.....and I wish had more answers but for some reason im the one always asking the questions....anyways Thanks

It will get touched for transferring, and it will get touched if you call and make an inquiry on it. It will also be touched if you have a representative asking about it. I don't find it unusual that they might have touched it twice after the transfer, but a third time? I hope it is good news, but I still can't imagine that they would be reviewing it so quickly after transferring. I do hope I am wrong however.

Do you have a priority date? Oh, and I asked before, but I don't think you saw the question. Which service center was it in previously?

Well the priority date I have here from my last letter says December 26, 2007..... and as for the service center I had sent it to the Vermont office and they had transferred it to the California office.... and now I'm not sure where it's at.... you know I don't know why im not even excited....I think I'm more scared to be disappointed then anything....so like I say lets see what happens

I suspect that that priority date is for the initial approval of the I-130. Did they send you the same form for when they returned the petition? And, if the petition was in Vermont, then transferred, that is good news indeed. Vermont is sloooowwww!

I haven't received anything yet hope something comes in the mail soon then I can let you know more and Thank You so much.....

No they didnt tell me where they transferred it too....and yes it was CR1 what do you think this means....

Sorry - I'm new here. Why did they deny, if you don't mind me asking?

Hello welcome and they denied us because my husband did not speak English well is what were thinking but we are not really too sure the exact reason....

Well I got an email yesterday saying that they transferred my husband's file and that I would receive something by mail when they made their decision or if they needed anything from me....well im not too sure where his papers are at but I do know that they have been touched yesterday and today....hope this is a good sign.....

Please forgive me, but I am trying to remember your situation. You were denied a CR1, correct? They didn't tell you on the email where they transferred it? Where was it before?

If they transferred it, and it was touched, I wouldn't get my hopes up yet. The 2 would go hand in hand. It is possible that they worked on it, but I highly doubt it.

Please try not to be discouraged because if they moved it from Vermont to California you will probably get looked at sooner. Hang in there.

Yeah very true I never let my hopes get too high never know what will happen just am hoping that its not too long of a wait.....

That is the typical letter they send for a returned petition. It may be the last you here from them for years.
I recieved the same thing in Novemeber.

Thanks this is exactly why I didn't let myself get excited....even got another touch today.... wonder why they are taking so long for your case I'm so sorry. I know that you must want them to get things moving..... have you talked to your senator to call uscis and check on your case? Hang in there I am praying for you and everyone that is waiting.....The waiting to be with the one you love is something we all hate to have to go through....
