IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresTax Information Regarding AOS for NVC
I did not send any transcripts. I just sent the printouts from H & R Block. Do you have a letter from your job verifying your income?

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresDo you think it would be helpful for my wife to bring a USB drive containing every photo I've ever taken in China?

Since I'm filing electronically, I don't think there's any way I can supply a USB drive to the NVC as part of the DS-230 document intake process. But I'd tell my wife to give it to the IO at the very beginning of her interview, and explain to that person what the USB drive contained.

It will be overkill. I had my fiancee (now wife) bring a USB with all our picture, emails, skype conversation and it was not necessary.

Nope ... people use that all the time for fake marriages to get green card.

You need joint account statements, joint credit card stmts, marriage/wedding photos, joint tax returns, etc.

Don't worry about it. They are overwhelmed and it could take a while to be in the system. As long as they accepted it and cashed your check you should be fine.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresGetting married and leaving US for a month

After you marry, you can file Adjustment of Status. However, during that time the foreigner cannot travel internationally. You will need to wait for a special travel permission called Advance Parole. You can file for that for free with your AOS and it takes about 3 months to be approved. You cannot come back on the F-1 with the intention to adjust status - that is visa fraud. CBP can and will deny you entry for this. I'd move up your marriage time table a bit so you can get the AP in time to travel. Otherwise, you will have to pursue a spousal visa and the foreigner will have to wait outside the US for 8-10 months while it is processing.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresMy Hubby is stressing

Yes, it's not actually notarized but it is stamped and signed from the local office and they gave me a booklet of USA SS law and I tabbed the page that states the fact that I don't loose my benefits. I told my hubby this but he doesn't trust the embassy to believe it. I told him they have to accept it, it IS the law. Do other embassies give people grief over SS income?

Great that you are proactive. Tell him to relax now

Can you get a notorized statment from SS office verifying the fact and then let you husband have that on his interview?

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresQuestions I can't seem to find the answer too....

Yeah I have seen the guide, but not the flow chart. It's so odd that the info I get here doesn't necessarily seem to coincide with the info I get on the US Embassy website...?!?!

The guides give you a general guideline. Each embassy has its own particular requirements that you should follow.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresQuestions I can't seem to find the answer too....

There is no list of translators as such but people from your area may be able to give you some if they used them.

$450 is the first of many fees. You also have to pay for the medical which is quite pricey and the AOS/interview. As well as the fee to USCIS which is $165 before you enter the USA.

Have a look at the guides if you have not yet looked at them.

Incidentally CR7 is for children of Conditional residents who adjust status in the US.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresCould anyone enlighten me to this?
CR1 is for those who arrived in the US on an immigrant visa (Their immigrant visa was processed and approved at a US consulate abroad).

CR6 is for those who adjusted status in the US (They filed I-485 and got it appproved in the US).

These are only codes, there is no real difference in them.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresI-130 and I-129f Aprouved at the same time

http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/LingChe_NVC_ShortCut

See the link above for the NVC shortcut

Your I129F will probably be closed by NVC as has been their policy for years.

If you choose to cease the I129F journey, then simply ignore any correspondences for the I129F or contact the consulate to tell them

Good luck

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresNever required to file Federal Taxes

Is that possible?... I've only been living in he US 9 months. Can i file taxes even though i was not here for 3 years ? Back home i was a full time student, never worked. I was wondering if i wrote a letter stating my circumstances. Is tax used as proof of income? Can my LES be used as proof of my income and future income? what are the ways to prove income. i have so many questions

I thought you were a US resident just moving back. The answer is no you won't be able to back file US taxes since you were not requred to file.

If you make enough now for sponsoring her that is good and you won't need a co-sponsor. However, they will ask for tax returns. So back file your taxes for the past 3 years ASAP even though you didn't have a lot of income.
