I received an NOA2 on October 5, 2010. I have not heard anything from the NVC yet. It seems from looking at other people's timelines that I should have heard something. I tried calling the number (603) 334-0700, but I am always getting a busy signal. I would send an e-mail, but it says to put the case number from NVC in the subject line, and I don't have a case number yet. I appreciate any insight. Thanks! You are very well due for NVC Case#. Only way to get this process faster is you need to talk to the live operator (I know it is difficult to get them online) and get NVC Case#. Then you can provide both petitioner and beneficiary email ids. If you don't provide email id, they will correspond via regular mail and you will complete the process in many months. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	I-864 Employment Letter	Loto is correct, however, I am of the belief that more is better to cover your butt. So if you can get it then get it. Your HR department probably has to do a similar kind of letter all the time. You could even do a brief outline for them and just have them sign it if you like. Amy, here is another finding. As per I-864 adjudicator's manual (http://www.uscis.gov...ppafm062706.pdf) Page# 15, employment letter and paystubs are optional with the initial submission. If they need it, they will ask it and you can submit it later. However, I didn't take a chance and included my employment letter and paystubs. Loto (2) Job Letters and Proof of Income. Pay stub(s) showing income for the most recent 6 months and letters from all current employers are no longer required as initial evidence. The applicant, however, may submit either or both of these items (1) in response to a request for additional evidence (RFE), or (2) with a Form I-864 if the applicant believes doing so would help establish that the sponsor meets the governing income/assets threshold. If submitted, letters from current employers should show dates of employment, the nature of the job, wages or salary earned, number of hours/weeks worked, and prospects for future employment and advancement. It should be sufficient for the employer to say that the employment is of indefinite duration or words of similar effect. Promises of future employment are not required. I have a stable job with government and copies of pay stubs. My issue is with the employment letter. Being a government agency our HR department is less than cooperative in most manners. My case is completed at the NVC since May 11th and yet we did not have an interview date. I found out from this site that in most countries people get their interview date just few days after NVC complete their case. I don`t know what is happening in Accra. It`s driving me nuts. We have received both the DS-3032 kit/IIN number & AOS package via email but the NVC case # is still NOT in the AVRS. It have been 20 days since NOA2 & our NVC case# is still not in the AVRS - so I would advise to be proactive. Same here - No NVC Case# in AVRS. HumanTM gave it to me. Since DOB issue still not corrected, I am unable to by-pass most of the human's initial questions for further details. So I gave her my receipt number and she said, this petition was recently received by the NVC now instead of giving me the NVC number, she said I needed to wait 6-8 weeks for the NVC to contact the petitioner or agent or attorney for further instructions. After we receive the NOA2, which forms will the petitioner need to fill out and which ones will the beneficiary need to fill out? I know the forms will be sent to us, but I would like to make a folder for him that includes all of the forms so he will know what he needs. As a sidenote, does anyone know why my timeline won't show up unless you click on it? I-864 will be filled by the U.S petitioner. DS-230 will be filled by the beneficiary. Optional you can have Ds-3032 also filled by the beneficiary. But you can email DS-3032. You mean signature - it is in your profile under your user settings. The reason for my approval was so fast, VSC for July filers were approving under 90 days time. CSC is taking 5 to 6 months for the regular approval process. Early on in our relationship, she was battling with leukemia, I'd have to return home, knowing she was extremely ill and needed my support. That said, she's been fine for the past year and is leading a normal lifestyle.. Just wondering, considering what we've been through, if we would be likely to get an expedite with our I-130? Thanks Paloma&Adam, Normally USCIS considers the current serious condition for the expedite. However, it is not a bad idea to try for a medical emergency as expedited criteria. Who knows? IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Interview Done, Case in AP but I wanted to relocate!!!!!!!	I had an interview on Sept 3rd. After the interview i was told that they they will do additional processing. Now, I am thinking to relocate to another country but i wonder if i can do that while my case is being processed. will i be able to get the visa stamp from the US-Embassy / Consulate of other country?. I don't see any issues. But if you exceed some time in another country before AP is cleared out, Consulate may ask PCC from there as well. More experienced persons will shed some light here. Thank you very much Some people here are translated by themselves since they know both languages. If you are fluent in both languages, you can do it. As per furthering our expedite request, is it worth sending an email to the address you told me about, before or after. or just sending in the hard docs pertaining to the request along with the beneficiary police certificate etc? For the I-864 bit...yes, your wife still has to fill out the I-864 and submit a letter of why she wasn't required to file taxes for the last 3 years. Her father will be the co-sponsor and he could make photo copies of his 3 last years of tax info and send it to your wife so that she can submit everything together with the barcoded cover sheet (invoice of AOS bill paid) to the NVC. Or he could call the IRS and get tax transcripts for free (in minutes if he is in front of a fax machine or in a week or 2 if sent through the mail). Since he doesn't have pay stubs, copies of his pension and what ever else that proves his "income" would be beneficial (usually...depends on who reviews your case at the NVC). For the IV packet- Looks good. Of course there are your country's specific requirements of documents that you should double check to make sure you have. I would also have the beneficiary's full name and case number on all pages (on a sticky note for the original documents) in the I-864 package and the IV package. On the back of the 2 photos I would include the full name of the beneficiary and the case number as well as the date of birth of the beneficiary. I hope that made sense and was helpful. I'm sure someone will come along and correct this is something is wrong (sorry if there is something I am mistaken about). But 1/3rd of the amount will be considered for a USC sponsor. A workout for you to clarify it. For example, you have $15,000 in the bank and you make $16,000 a year at your work. Suppose your household is 2. Then you need to overcome (http://www.uscis.gov...form/i-864p.pdf) $18,212 assuming you don't work with U.S armed forces and live in the mainland of the U.S. Your income - $16,000 Asset - $15,000/3 = $5,000 Total Income - $21,000 Now you overcome the poverty line!
