Or do I have to wait for something from them? Once the status shows PAID, you need to print out the barcode cover sheet from the same site and mail the AOS packet with this in the address specified in it. Should I call them once I receive a number to call from them or my NOA1 or what? I think we left over blanks on the paperwork because things didn't apply to us. Should we have written "N/A"? It is NEVER a denial. But they might REJECT the intiial petition and might ask you to re-submit it again. Yes, wherever a question is not applicable, write N/A If the answer concludes to NONE, then write NONE If they accept your initial I-130 petition and subsequently issue an RFE (Request for Additional Evidence) or whatever, respond to that later. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Alien Number for Nicaragua Citizens??	On the G-325A (I think that's the one) it asks for the benificiary's alien number. I though that pertained to US prior documents or visa if the immigrant had been there before. So we left it blank on my husbands G-form. Does Nicaragua have alien numbers for their citizens? And if so, is there some way I can contact USCIS at some point to give that number to them and they write it in??? Thanks for your reply!! Instructions for both forms state in one section: If you provide a photocopy of your tax return(s), you must include a copy of each and every Form W-2 and Form 1099 that relates to your return(s). Do not include copies of these Forms if you provide an IRS transcript of your return(s) rather than a photocopy. Then there is a Check List section that says: The following items must be submitted with Form I-864 (or I-864EZ): A copy of your individual Federal income tax return, including W-2s for the most recent tax year, or a statement and/or evidence describing why you were not required to file. Also include a copy of each and every Form 1099,Schedule, and any other evidence of reported income. So in they say in one section do not include copies of W-2s and 1099s if you send an IRS transcript, but then in the check list section they say you "must" include them and do not mention transcripts. Has anyone just sent transcripts? Not sure what to do since I have the transcripts. Should I send the W-2s as well? At least for the most recent tax year? Thanks. If the income that you are documenting is ONLY yours, IRS tax transcripts are alone. However, if you have combined with any others and you are the only sponsor, NVC/Consulate need to know ONLY your income. In this case W2/1099 with 1040 and schedules will help. W-7 signature must be original normally (for any govt. forms, they prefer original signature. They might accept scanned, but don't take any chance!). Also, I don't remember other supporting docs, I think notarized foreign passport copy of the beneficiary too. Entire tax return must be submitted with W-7 and supporting docs. Address to mail is in W-7 instructions. I don't know what will happen to your other IRS package already submitted, they will reject it for sure. BTW, I am the petitioner. My husband filed his Income tax return almost 2 weeks ago for the year 2009....his always on a short tour overseas thats why just filed his tax return...Our case is already at the NVC...My husband called the IRS to follow up and know the status of his tax return and a guy from there told him that his tax return might get rejected since he didnt put and i don't have the SSN....he told the guy from IRS that im here in the Philippines and processing my visa,and yet the guy told him that i have to get my SSN first...does anyone experienced this?my case is CR1 petition...Help me please fellas...should we call again and verify what the guy from IRS said...... The beneficiary will not get SSN in your case. You need to send the tax return to IRS Austin, Texas address with completed W-7 and documents. Completed W-7 will process your ITIN (Individual Tax Identification Number). If you need to know more about the process, let us know. One thing I have realised , that officials in India say that we cannot give you PCC or work on it, unless you show us your Appointment letter. Has anyone else experienced the same thing. I mean its a Catch 22 , they cannot start it unless they get to see the Appointment Letter and on the other hand I have to submit it to NVC in order to get my Appointment. Please Help Out. When I was in Montreal, lots of spouses interviewed solo Good luck My husband (the USC) attended with me but it was mainly for emotional support. Similar to canadian_wife's experience we saw many people interviewing solo. The spouse is NOT required to attend and it does not seem to have any bearing on the interview outcome in Montreal. However, I thought it needed to be sent all at the same time, and then sign it at the end. Then again thinking about it now, I could just call the NVC. Not to mention, she sent it to me snail mail as well, so a little bit of patience wouldn't kill me! Thanks for the help. Have to say its a great community here! Section 2...unsigned....is part of the entire form and while it is to be signed at the interview I believe NVC wants it submitted with the other pages of the DS-230. IMO the paper size should not be an issue, I doubt they would even notice. That being said, the discrepancy would drive me crazy too, so reprinting on proper size paper would be comforting. I see that it is difficult to provide financial evidence, especially if it requires that the beneficiary be here in the U.S. and/or have an SSN number. No lawyer should ever guarantee success...ever. Would it be possible for you to open a joint bank account (U.S. dollar) where she is? I have done this in the past. You can have her contact the bank, and secure the necessary documents. They/she can fax you the applications. You would need to sign and send copies of your I.D. Having a joint bank account, whether here or abroad, can show pooling of financial resources. Other ways would be to have your name on some utility bills there. Can she add you to their landline/cell phone account? If they have a car there, can they add your name to its title? If children are allowed into the interview at your consulate, then I dont see why not, however, the interview will require all of your attention, focussing on a small child may detract from that somewhat. Thats just my opinion. I dont think there are any rules against having a minor in with you. Since the child is not required at the interview, I would not bring him.
